Why would i waste my 10 hrs trip just to get info. But the thing is I keep buying their items online (shoes/belts/scarves) 😬😬, as for bags I only buy them when we are in DC visiting our daughter, but it's still difficult to get certain colors I want, esp birkin is almost impossible to buy. Chanel is no longer in my buy list since their price raise while in recent years gold hardware tarnish so easily compared to their prior productions.

I know wealthy women who carry replicas. The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags...so more people choose fashionable ex-Luxcon bags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things *preluxz*
@@jonnyfendi2003 Years ago, I shopped at a Coach store here in Las Vegas and they were quite snotty to me. Was just looking for a man's wallet and pulled out my older but worn Coach wallet. No doubt that they could see the Centurion card in the credit card slot. I thanked them and left. Previously in Atlanta at the Coach store, they were quite happy to sell me a wallet. We are only talking about a $200.00 wallet. Just a nice simple affair. Needless to say, I found a guy in Australia that makes Crocodile wallets, purchased two from him at a comparable price and could not be happier. Just his little logo stamp on the inside. For me, wearing "brand" logos is simply advertisement for them. Now, of someone wants to pay me to wear their logo, that could be another matter.
hahaha I like bags, and I also like luxury bags and other products, but I will not pay a high price for them, because the luxury products themselves are not worth such a high price, and more I pay for the premium of these brands. Maybe the production cost of these products only needs to be one twentieth of the selling price or less, thank God, I have a good supplier. The ability to buy top quality products at cheap prices.
I worked as a jeweler for a year. I worked with palladium it is, and it isn't expensive. The palladium plating concentrate is sold in a 1 liter bottle. The bottle is like $1000+ dollars. And to make the plating solution you need about 8 oz of deionized water in a glass beaker, and add like 1/2 oz of the palladium solution. And then you set up the electrical connection, for plating. I had a black palladium plated LV Louis Vuitton belt buckle that was "peeling" off the black metal plating. And since I was working as a jeweler; I polished it to remove the black plating, gave it a sand blasted finish, and palladium plated it for like 15 minutes to get a super thick plating coating.
Thank you for sharing the details. My source estimated the palladium cost on this type of coating to be about 3-5 Euros roughly. So it is not much palladium at all but it is better than other buckles we see around.
@@tanner.leatherstein True, in the jewelry business the palladium metal plating pays for itself. If you pay for the bottle $1000 dollars, and you charge to polish and palladium plate white gold rings $50 dollars you need about 20 rings to polish and palladium plate to total $1000 dollars. And 1/2 oz of the plating solution can easily plate over 50 rings.
To spend 990 for a belt, no thanks. Not even $50 for me. I don't even support leather. There are many cruelty free belt options that are equally beautiful, functional and affordable. And if one uses leather, that is fine. As long as the source is ethical, that animals are treated well while they are alive, given dignity, before they are sacrificed for products.
@@wem-c9f Most "vegan" leathers are polyurethane and plastic. They don't biodegrade, and can leech into groundwater, adding microplastics to our environment. While leather is a byproduct of beef farming. Tanner did a good video recently about the greenwashing of the industry. We are kind of morally torn either way. It's kind of a catch-22
I’d forgotten how Hermès were traditionally a saddlery & harness business at the beginning. Throughout their branding there is the use of equestrian symbolism. I’ve had a look at their website & they’ve continued to make saddles, horse blankets & other equestrian items. I looked up the saddlery company GFS who made my horse’s saddle in Walsall, UK. They are still in business & also adverting for a trainee saddler too for £23K a year. It’s good to see that the midlands still has the traditional saddlery industry.
Louis vuitton were saddle makers at one point, too. They used to have quality leather but everything changed a while back & became cheaper and poorer quality
Yes the color of the *gtdupe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I am a luxury consumer and I like some of Hermés products, but I NEVER saw anything special on both Birkin and Kelly bags. Extremely common designs, excellent craftsmanship but nothing you wouldn’t see on other good brands, and ridiculously high prices. Even if you can afford it, simply doesn’t make sense to spend money on such an ordinary piece like those. Hermés nowadays is just a proof that status can be more valuable than money itself.
Obsesseeed with the Hug bag…the first time I saw it in the wild, I loved it even more! Because of you, *jklux* I own a demellier and now I may have to add the Ferragamo to my collection. What an absolute beauty.
The only Hermes bag design I ever liked was the Constance. I'd be interested in your reviewing and interviewing Hermes employees who have since left the company and started their own brands. April in Paris is one and she actually also has a school in leathercraft.
I don't know how luxury brands work or the production costs, but they should use full grain leather in their belts if they are going to sell them at abysmal prices. I build belts for myself and some of my friends, I use 3.5mm thick full grain cowhide with 100% sterling silver buckles, for approximately 75 dollars maximum, full silver, not coated. I love your channel, Mr. Tanner. I got started in leather goods by watching your videos.
I still love my LV reverse monogram *preluxz* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
I'm researching Chanel mini bags and am a bit hesitant about choosing a square or rectangular mini bag. But I prefer the square shape, I think minis are cuter and they allow for a more casual style, but small can serve that function too, my dream Chanel bag would be a small tweed bag. While Chanel leather bags are often seen, tweed bags are even rarer. *jklux*
Yes, thank you for saying it: Birkin bags look like bags for old ladies. I grew up seeing more mature women wearing Hermès and Chanel bags. So this trend since Gossip girls etc when young girls wear Chanel and Hermès is still so weird to me.
J'ai 51 ans, donc une "dame" 😅et je n'aime ni Hermes ni Chanel également, j'ai horreur de leur couleur marron et des monogrammes. Je les range dans la catégorie mamie
Not only the quality, all the unique designs and collaborations with different artists are also so interesting. many of them are pretty enough to hang it up on the wall as art pieces.
They set up a silk scarf silk screening rig and a collection of vintage scarves in an expo in SF. The scarfs were pretty spectacular, with incredible color vibrancy.
I just love this guy! My bag purchasing changed for good since Tanner entered the youtube space. Now i cant even bring my self to buy the products of big brands as you can definitely see plastic! Thanks Tanner!
Thank you for linking artisans in the end! I try to get all my bags/shoes/belts in leather as it's more resilient and durable but a 10x mark up? Not going to happen in a million years. Especially if most goes to stock holders not the craftsman making it. I want to pay for the product and the craft NOT a status symbol and brand name. Thank you for bringing out those who deserve credit where credit is due!
I agree the bag is not attractive and not only that but they look as they are that functional as opening them seems more complicated and I prefer easy of use.
Great video. As someone who owns only two luxury bags (YSL & Celine) , I have always wondered why Hermes is so expensive. I have never craved it till date but no hate to folks who dream to own it. To me it looks mediocre.. I would rather buy a LV or a Chanel bag.
It’s the quality of their bags. Once you own one, you’ll never go back to LV or Chanel. Both brands have mediocre quality compared to Hermes. I would know so since I own a lot of LV and Chanel bags, but the Hermes bags superb in quality.
@@layzeh3266this is so true! Chanel went totally crazy with their prices and their quality went downhill. With LV prices, it is similar. I would never again buy a Chanel bag in store.
THen you are probably ignorant. The quality has nothing to do with LV or Chanel, both subcontracts a large part of their bag production to suppliers in France. LV stills produces some of their most prestigious bags directly but not all the production. Every Hermès bags is produced in France, by Hermès artisans. Here is the difference.
Loved your video. It’s refreshing to hear from the perspective of a leather craftsman. I used to have a line of bags I designed, mostly in exotic leathers. Anyway, I think it’s wonderful you are highlighting the talented people who can create leather goods independently of the large corporations. I will say though, I think the community needs those big companies to set the bench mark for pricing. That way, even the independent craftsperson, can charge a reasonable amount for their hard work.
Great perspective. I agree, we need the brands like Hermes to set lots of standards and benchmarks not only in price but quality, ethics and environmental practices. So it is not fair to bash at the corporations as they are pure evil. As always a good balance of corporations, small businesses and artisans make all of us better.
I’ve been following Peter and Lili for years and I’m so happy to hear someone else mention their work! They make amazing products and Peter has even made products specifically for companies like Patek Philippe! Definitely worth a lot more than Hermes in my opinion
Finally! this is the video that I've been waiting for! thank you so much for sharing your expertise and honest review! Nobody should be spending loads of their hard-earned money on a ridiculously overpriced bag. Happy holidays and wishing you the best always! PS. : I'm about to check your suggestions and might invest in those excellent quality and affordable pieces instead! I want to distance myself from mainstream overpriced luxury! Thank you thank you!
I have always been obsessed with leather goods, but have always side-eyed luxury houses, so most of my handbags are purchased from artisans in the country where I live. Your channel has been so informative and I appreciate that you are making an effort to direct consumers towards artisan-made leather products.
I find your channel super interesting (though sometimes heartbreaking to see the items dissected!) and I love learning more about leathercraft. I am keen to see and hear your opinion of Justine Leconte's new handbag line - she is a designer with a fantastic UA-cam channel and is really proud of her latest release. Sustainability and quality is a primary focus for her and it would be really interesting to hear your take on her pieces, particularly as she has sourced plant-tanned leathers from within Europe and is using an atelier in Portugal as well.
The Birkin was designed primarily for function not for aesthetics. Birkin used hers to death. She owned only one Birkin at a time. The first one they said she used for about 10 yrs before she sold it for charity. She literally used her bags and never babied them unlike most other Birkin owners.
I carried a Hermes since the early 90s. I love the Birkin and I love the Kelly, I love the Constance,I love the Paris Bombay east west. I love my wallets. I just think they’re gorgeous they’re just so amazing. I understand that not everybody feels the same way I do, but I’ve been carirying way before influencers I don’t need anybody’s opinion of what I love and I’m very supportive of your thoughts if they’re ugly, good more for me.
I appreciate you saying that Birkins are ugly because I have never understood their appeal. I like neither their looks nor their ease of use. I have been given great fakes but I just couldn't do it. They felt fussy and awkward and so I passed them on.
Hi, I abssssolutely love the Ferragamo and cream bags. I have been eyeing this bag as well. I prefer the smaller ones but now you have convinced me that *jklux* should go ahead and buy one! Great! Thanks so much for sharing.

I love the Hermès fragrances. They tend to be not that well known or worn by many. The Un Jardin range is of fragrances are very fresh but, I love wearing Kelly Calèche as it reminds me of meadow hay & roses.
I find the Hermès fragrances last for days when I spritz them on my clothes. However, everyone’s experiences are different with fragrances as there are so many factors that affect the longevity.
I only discovered their Kelly Calèche fragrance through an advert sample in a fashion magazine. I liked it & then sought it out at a department store. Thank you for your interesting & educational video. I agree about supporting artisans rather than designer labels, however many people don’t value the skills of the craftsmanship & prefer the status of a ‘luxury brand’. I really enjoy watching your videos & wish you a Happy Christmas 🎄
@@tanner.leatherstein Hermes fragrance line is one of the better ones in the 'fashion' world...Chanel comes second...both of these brands employ an in-house perfumer. So it's good to see the same pride extends to that side.
If you really want to buy a bag from the store, you need to be more specific when you ask for one. It's not that Hermes don't think you are deserving, it's just they hate resellers and instruct their sales associates to avoid them. If you go in stores just asking for any bag, then the answer will always be "sorry, we don't have any". However if you show genuine interest in their products, like asking for "in the loop bag belt bag" in etoupe color, togo leather, gold hardware things may be different. Let then know you are familiar with their products, like bags that are not trendy, and the sales associates will likely warm up to you. They will see you as true costumer. Another tip is to go for tax free stores inside airports and ask for a specifc bag. If they have it in stock, they are obligated to sell it to you because they are not allowed to hide inventory.
I didn't know any of this. Actually I almost always go to the airport stores as I travel around for leather. I will try these in my next visits. Thank you for your helpful insights.
Sounds extremely narcissistic, no? A customer always have the power, since you have the funds and you have the executive choice to buy or not to buy. But you come to Hermes and it sounded like you need to beg them just to purchase their product. Sounds a little insane to me.
It's like entering an exclusive country club. You're paying big bucks, and still you have to go through a very demanding waiting list and hard scrutiny.@@Betelgue5e
@@jeffersonperrylepon9623 Funny. If I am to throw away my money, best way to make a statement, would be to buy their most exclusive and most expensive product and burn it for all to see. That would be far more satisfying, than just buying it and carry it with you, for everyone else to admire or envy, walking around with it like an airhead peacock. Yes. That would be the kind of game I am willing to play.
It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on artisans and quality inspection. My family and I have bought 2 amzwatch bags in the past 3 years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
I am always looking forward to your videos. They are so informative and helps us to make better choice. We all love quality products but dont want to pay the overprice. Thank you
People don’t realize that Hermès leather goods, wallets and their other bags, not Birkins or Kelly’s, don’t cost a ridiculous amount of money. They are actually less expensive than comparably priced items from Louis Vuitton that are all canvas.
While I don't find the Birkin ugly (I also don't think it's particularly pretty, either), it does seem impractical. Like an outdated design. No strap, fussy foldover top with sangles and turn lock. It looks like a complete pain in the butt to open and close. Better handbag mechanics have evolved since the Birkin was created. Thank you for this informative video.
The fold over top seems nice for certain purposes, plus unlike the Kelly you can carry the bag without fastening the top. Making it a good flexible tote. Granted, the lack of crossbody strap, especially with a bag of that weight, is baffling. But, you can buy third party straps that are very secure but wear out the leather faster, as the strip that closes the bag is not designed to take the entire weight of the bag. But, by the time you've factored in the stuff you bought just to buy the bag, the third party strap and bag organizer, and the occasional repair bills, it probably isn't worth it. But for those with too much money to burn, there really isn't any other mom bag to buy. Sure, LV makes backpacks, but those aren't as prestigious. And some people really need a tote for the convenience of getting things in an out of there bags.
Thank you for the suggestion. This video was rushed so much this week during the Holiday shopping madness in the workshop. And next year I will do detailed videos on brands including their history and more of a general review of the brand than just a bag dissection. I find this new style is more fun to do and it seems like you guys enjoy them as well. Stay tuned and thank you for your support!
This is my first (but not the last) purchase of a D U P B A G Y bag. For the affordable price, it exceeded my expectations! It's soft, the perfect size, and the color is gorgeous! Love this bag!
GREAT VIDEO!!!! 🔥 Absolutely LOVE your take on all the brands you examine. Loved that you included the history of Hermes. Love that you think the Birkin is ugly and impractical 😂
Thank you for your support. Very glad to hear you enjoyed it. Trying to share what learn and think about brands you guys asked me to look into. It is fun
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the MoMococo leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I love Peter Nitz collection... Nowadays i focus more on leather quality. However I learn that most of the leather goods that use good leather without brand is targeting the male customer more than the female. Thus, the collection designed for female is quite limited. Can you dive more deep into this?
I could not agree more. Some may say Hermes' extreme exclusivity is entrepreneurial genius; I say it calls out the very worst in human nature. I do not buy any of the luxury brands though I could afford to. I have no wish to pay an arm and a leg for the "privilege" of being a walking billboard for a soulless corporation. My passion is for beautifully and mindfully handcrafted objects. And I want my money to go to the artisans who dedicate themselves to the mastery of their craft.
When I first saw the Birkin, I thought the closure was too fiddly and awkward. Then I realized it’s just a status symbol. It boggles the mind how anyone would buy that belt that costs less than $100 to make, and pay almost $1000. 🙄 Hermes will never see me as their customer, since I don’t think I’ve ever spent over $200 for a bag, and the last few years I’ve even been making my own.
The best thing about the Birkin bag is the assortment of colors and also , the 35 cm bag is great for travel as you can pack a lot into it. You can get around purchasing one, it is not as exclusive as the company tries to make it out to be. And there are many on the resale market
just bought a smaller size last week in a new color. It’s a similar color to my Birkin 25 Beton, but that’s okay! My bag doesn’t have the chain strap. I love the look of the chain and the simplicity and lightness of the braided strap. Love that color too. I wanted a small carry-on bag and love the lvguci , it’s so classy.
Regardless of the bbkbags bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.
3:17 they arent that expensive lol. thats resale only. over the years i have bought 16 birkins and kellys. The highest I paid was 30k for a croc birkin in size 30. The least was about 5k.
Hi.. thank you for doing a Hermes review.. would you please do a review on the brand Fleuron? they share the same factory with Hermes..do they use the same leather like Hermes as others mention in the market.... thanks!
Thank you Tanner for this interesting breakdown. You are amazing! And thanks for sharing artisans to watch. I have full respect for Hermes's positioning and branding strategy. I can't believe what they have pulled off, don't know when it'll come crashing down. Shareholders, enjoy the ride as long as it lasts!
Their products are of high quality but a leather bag it’s still a leather bag. The bags have a nice design, not practical though for me, especially for everyday use. Also, all the rich people thinking that if you own an Hermes bag then you get into the “elite”… An Hermes bag is a prestige purchase, to show off.
I started using the mz Wallace nylon bags…they’re lightweight, easy to clean, hold tons of stuff and have lots of inside zippers and pockets. Once I became a mom I now prioritize function over fashion. I don’t think any Hermes bag provides much function.
Bravo! The bags are all status..... and not even practical..... Now it is considered cool to walk around Milan with your handbag wide open.....so silly actually. But ❤I totally love the Hermes scarves. I have been collecting them for 50 years. They are beautiful, hand washable and get softer the more you wear them.
I still love my LV reverse monogram bbkbags clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
A very interesting look into a highly specialized field. If I hadn't seen this video I am confident, that I would have never gotten this perspective on luxury leather goods. Thank you for the great video! :)
Absolutely agree with you! The birkin is ugly, I much prefer the Kelly. This is all about prestige and status otherwise nobody would take a second look at it
Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I love Hermes my favorite items are their scarves and small leather goods. I have 2 Birkin and they are very special to me and I’m so happy to be in that group of insiders! My first Hermes wallet was purchased 20 years ago and I still have it and it’s in mint condition. Yes, it is worth the splurge to invest in Hermes my scarves along with my birkin’s are my favorite!
Was fun to watch this video and enjoyed this immensely. I'm not surprised by the amount of hype in the Hermes belt. The Birken design grew on me and nothing to do with its status. Even if I could easily afford 10 Birkins, I wouldn't buy them. Way over hyped! In addition the interior is made to create a black hole where nothing can be found. I do have a copy of the Birkin that my cousin made for me. It has nice interior pockets, pen slot, key chain leash and a separate compartment in the back. Its about 16 inches wide or 40 cm. It also have a nice detachable shoulder strap. The design was refined a bit and made practical in functioning. Why I love it. To be honest I wouldn't care to own an Authentic Birkin because I don't want to play their game and I don't like black hole bag interiors. Same cousin made me his version of the Kelly bag of beige, tan and black. It has a discrete back compartment not immediately noticeable to put large tablet or small thin laptop. Then it has a pen slot, four useful pockets and a key ring leash. On the back, it has a exterior zipper pocket. Have had both for over five years and still look great for being my primary bags. I was hesitant when my cousin brought up making them for me and if I didn't like, could send them back to him. I got the family discount of $225 for both. As for luxury fashion items in general, I don't like them. Why should I pay $5,000 for the privilege of doing free advertising for them? Besides most of them are ugly anyways. So I have what is considered the lower end of mid-range leather belts, non copy bags, shoes and other accessories. No logos on the outside and durable items that my grandchildren will probably inherit. Most of my clothes are designed and sewn by me. I have full control over the fabric quality and can avoid synthetic fibers. Not cheap and I have to save up for the good quality fabric in order to do it. The end results are shirts and blouses that are between 7-11 years old and are worn and laundered every week and has very little wear. A thirty-five year old mohair coat I made when I was 19 and still wear every winter. Never been much of a TV watcher.
Excellent video. New subscriber here! Those other artisanal bags you mentioned Chester Mox, Peter Nitz, etc. are of unbelievable quality. I am thinking of ordering one.
I honestly think the Birkin and Kelly are not functional bags. Wry few of the “luxury “ bags are not very functional. I would rather purchase a high quality leather bag from a small business. I have a beautiful leather satchel with a top handle, front and back pockets and lots of pockets inside. And I paid a fraction of the price for a birkin or Kelly.
I bought two Constance belts last year in Turkey (made in Turkey) and they are grat quality for 60 euros. The buckles are all laser engraved and given serial numbers and come in the orange box ! Again I bought for the fun. The stores have two qualities, one in plastic with gilt metal and the other in leather with good quality trim.

.I live neaear the Mexican border. I always choose *jklux* , they are great quality. Some of them are made of leather and it is hard to tell if they are real. Either way, you have your choice. I will not sway you.
It’s laughable that Hermès sales associates are instructed to say “We’ve sold our last piece and the rest is display only”. Hysterical.
They dont care… if you ask to see a simple wallet in the display they tell you no right to your face.
Hermes is a luxury experience for people with humiliation kink.
hahaha
I like bags, and I also like luxury bags and other products, but I will not pay a high price for them, because the luxury products themselves are not worth such a high price, and more I pay for the premium of these brands. Maybe the production cost of these products only needs to be one twentieth of the selling price or less, thank God, I have a good supplier. The ability to buy top quality products at cheap prices.
You are refreshingly educational and honest. So good at your craft. Keep up the great work, Tanner.
I appreciate your encouraging words. Rest assured, I will continue to provide clear and reliable insight!
@@wem-c9faren’t they sacrificed for food? Leather is a byproduct in such a case.
Louis Vuitton was never a saddlery
@@twinflamegirl9901they made trunks
Yes the color of the *gtdupe* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Thank you for making this video! I was planning to buy this bag when I travel to Europe next month! I was lucky enough to see it *gtdupe* .
Well said! Thank you for sharing this
Those common designs were made common because of the hermes I guess
Which luxury brand do you like best in terms of quality?
Obsesseeed with the Hug bag…the first time I saw it in the wild, I loved it even more! Because of you, *jklux* I own a demellier and now I may have to add the Ferragamo to my collection. What an absolute beauty.
It's just a paltry amount for some people.
The only Hermes bag design I ever liked was the Constance. I'd be interested in your reviewing and interviewing Hermes employees who have since left the company and started their own brands. April in Paris is one and she actually also has a school in leathercraft.
The only Hermes bag I'd buy is the Constance, but that price... no bueno
My SA was not coy at all informing me that I need to build a purchase history to access the desirable products.
Thank you, Tanner, for your hard work and also for the valuable information you provide, that educate us about the world of leather!!
Thank you for your support. It is my pleasure!
I agree, a Hermes bag is an old lady bag
I really like both, but they are indeed for mature women, I never like them when I was a young woman, they don’t look good in the youth.
It’s the bag that the moms in Kdramas wear.
J'ai 51 ans, donc une "dame" 😅et je n'aime ni Hermes ni Chanel également, j'ai horreur de leur couleur marron et des monogrammes. Je les range dans la catégorie mamie
I love how you analyse these brands and your honest opinions.
The one thing Hermes does is make amazing scarves. They are just gorgeous and a wonderful addition to something’s wardrobe.
I have no knowledge of fabrics but I heard the quality from other people.
Agree about their scarves. If I was into scarves on the regular I would definitely buy from them.
I like Dior’s scarves better.
I heard that Delvaux is the other brand that is still use handstitching method to their bag
The Bolide bag is a lot easer to use. That is the bag that Hermes designed for the zipper.
Didn't know that. Thank you for sharing
Lv alma design is similar
Love HIDUPZ the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other UA-camr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
Y’all, no one buys Hermes for leather. Everyone buys Hermes for status 😂
FACTS!! There’s a lot of great quality leather out there at a fraction of their prices.
Exactly.
@@layzeh3266 And some of the vintage Hermes bags are superb. I have a White Bus tote that has all the craftsmanship and still looks as good as new.
Chanel was a Nazi informant. I always shake my head when I see someone with brown skin supporting that brand.
The construction feels so sturdy, and the look is timeless. Great job, cicishops!
Definitely worth a lot more than Hermes in my opinion
kay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the HIDUPZ book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Finally! this is the video that I've been waiting for! thank you so much for sharing your expertise and honest review!
Glad it was helpful! And I appreciate your support. Happy holidays!
I could be a billionaire today, and zero of my billions would go to Hermes.
Wise.
Are you sure about that? Never seen those lottery winners?
@@Taitai7 Not paying thousands of $$$$$$% for a handbag. We all love quality things....but oh hell no.Even if I would be a billionare to.What exactly warrants these prices? I love the Hermès fragrances. They tend to be not that well known or worn by many. The Un Jardin range is of fragrances are very fresh but, I love wearing Kelly Calèche as it reminds me of meadow hay & roses.
I think they’re garbage and last for about 45 minutes
I find the Hermès fragrances last for days when I spritz them on my clothes. However, everyone’s experiences are different with fragrances as there are so many factors that affect the longevity.
No clue about their fragrance line...
It's not entertaining.. It is an unbiased informative and educational content - as expected. Ugh, love your work!

And they are excellent quality. Ready to Wear and Shoes are excellent too.
So true. And their shoes are comparably priced or less expensive than LV and Dior.
Hermes sells a $700 paper saddle box coated with minimal leather. Please stop.
"Birkin is ugly" YES THANK YOU. I respect Hermes, but there are plenty of Hermes bags that aren't a Birkin or a Kelly that actually looks good.
Can you do a video on Kate Spade? I want to see if the cheaper brand have good quality.
Or Francis Valentine

I could not agree more. Some may say Hermes' extreme exclusivity is entrepreneurial genius; I say it calls out the very worst in human nature. I do not buy any of the luxury brands though I could afford to. I have no wish to pay an arm and a leg for the "privilege" of being a walking billboard for a soulless corporation. My passion is for beautifully and mindfully handcrafted objects. And I want my money to go to the artisans who dedicate themselves to the mastery of their craft.
Thank you for this video. Do you have a list of small, independent artisans? I would love to support them.
Thank you for showing us the mind game that Hermes plays.

You like cliché, eh? It's BORING!
When I first saw the Birkin, I thought the closure was too fiddly and awkward. Then I realized it’s just a status symbol. It boggles the mind how anyone would buy that belt that costs less than $100 to make, and pay almost $1000. 🙄 Hermes will never see me as their customer, since I don’t think I’ve ever spent over $200 for a bag, and the last few years I’ve even been making my own.
what is the soundtrack that you used for this video? I wanna listen to it!
The best thing about the Birkin bag is the assortment of colors and also , the 35 cm bag is great for travel as you can pack a lot into it. You can get around purchasing one, it is not as exclusive as the company tries to make it out to be. And there are many on the resale market
Excellent as always, Tanner - thank you & happy holidays!🌲🕯️🎀
Glad you enjoyed it. You too have Happy Holidays 🎄
just bought a smaller size last week in a new color.

I can't believe what they have pulled off, don't know when it'll come crashing down. Shareholders, enjoy the ride as long as it lasts!
Their products are of high quality but a leather bag it’s still a leather bag.
The bags have a nice design, not practical though for me, especially for everyday use.
Also, all the rich people thinking that if you own an Hermes bag then you get into the “elite”…

The Hermès ad featured at 2:25 seems to be for Mido watches... Were they together? Or is this just a Herrmès shop?

I started using the mz Wallace nylon bags…they’re lightweight, easy to clean, hold tons of stuff and have lots of inside zippers and pockets. Once I became a mom I now prioritize function over fashion. I don’t think any Hermes bag provides much function.
Bravo! The bags are all status..... and not even practical..... Now it is considered cool to walk around Milan with your handbag wide open.....so silly actually. But ❤I totally love the Hermes scarves. I have been collecting them for 50 years. They are beautiful, hand washable and get softer the more you wear them.

I love Hermes jewellery, the design is sublime. And prices are affordable for silver items.
You are very brave to tell the truth.God bless you
Was fun to watch this video and enjoyed this immensely.
Best leather content on UA-cam
I honestly think the Birkin and Kelly are not functional bags. Wry few of the “luxury “ bags are not very functional. I would rather purchase a high quality leather bag from a small business. I have a beautiful leather satchel with a top handle, front and back pockets and lots of pockets inside. And I paid a fraction of the price for a birkin or Kelly.
Love everything you put out here! I was so surprised by the D U P B A G Y crossbody bag. love it!
When people are saying MOMCOCO’s bag is a better option,I very much agree!
I'm very VERY new to this channel but this is the content I look for. Artisans doing beautiful crafts, unlike that overpriced rubbish in glam stores. I'm in Europe - do you know of similar content creators in EU? I looked at your Etsy store and it's exactly what I want, but sadly I don't like shipping from the US so I need some EU based information.
