Nice video sir. Hope to see more review about balancing of lure and setup from you
More to come!
nice bro
Thanks
I can’t cast the 7 foot stick worth a flip with my SR-20. Is there and 8 foot or longer rod you recommend?
Sr-20 with 50lb or 65lb braid? 8foot is always better for distance for sure. The MH is an all around rod too. St. Croix makes some beauties for sure. We do not sell spin rods any longer so check them out.
And what Rod specs do you recommend. I have an SR-20 and have yet to find the right stick. Too short and too stiff stiff so far.
8 ft and M to MH heavy action.
Boss how much drag is good for average tuna? Spinning reel
Still comes down to the line you are fishing and size of tuna. Drag should be 1/4 to 1/3 breaking strength of line. IE 20 lb test drag should be 5 to 7 lbs at strike. If you are fishing spinning 12 to 15 lbs will be great for 50 lb braid.
Thank you very much sir appreciate much
Thanks boss need a spinning outfit
Might see more spin in the future. Right now its all conventional.
Lamiglas makes a 7030 spinning rod...hummm?
We are catching Tunas over 300lbs on that gear. The bigger guys are there mixed with the so called smaller guys.
Why should someone choose a spinning setup over a conventional reel for popping?
Good question. Its all about preference. For most, Its easier to cast a popper vs casting it with a conventional reel.
Because it's fun!
Bro get a mic the sound is pretty bad...
That video was done 10 plus years ago prior to the good mics. We have them now.

We do not make spinning rods but St. Croix makes some excellent surf rods. Check them out on their website.

I would say an 8 ft rod with Medium to medium heavy action with work great.
