Good work guys its never easy but when you get it back up and running its rewarding to see it back in action thanks for the video
Great video, thanks for showing us every part of the Harvest journey. I can't wait every day to see your next video! See ya tomorrow.
Woodruff keys are made of softer metals and are designed to break before more expensive parts, general maintenance item
It is nice to see the men trouble shoot the issue and come to a positive solution while in the field.
Those would be Woodruff keys. They are unique in that one edge is a half-moon. One side is embedded deeper into the shaft than a simple square key. I would think they would be commonly used in these combines.
Wonderful videos thank you HaydenOn Harvest
Awesome video Hayden. So glad someone had a Key for your combine.. Thank you bud
Awesome video. Keep posting! Ive just started following your channel a couple weeks ago. Hi from Alberta Canada
Great video!!! Wish I could have been there to help your Dad. He needs some Canadian whiskey after all that good work. Have fun at the party. John T. ❤❤
Can’t wait for corn harvest, but you might need a bigger grain cart. 😂
Combine s are quite complex machines an have changed a lot thur the years .But to me the ole “sickle bar “ has not changed much !!!! Has there ever been a different cutting head been tried? Like the “hay discbines we have for cutting hay fields. Thanks????
Honey bee cutting deck with a decent sized transition plate and pre rock trap.. Ah. Shana you and Hayden want one each don’t you. I have been researching again. :):). Steve. Kiwi wheat farmer.
Have fun at the party…….don't drink too much!!!! ha ha, Rob
How nice of them to throw an end-of wheat harvest party. Kudos to them. What are your dad's primary duties, maintenance? And to keep the spare part inventory uptodate. I suppose doing it for years you have a learned idea of what you need to keep in stock. How much does that change when you buy new combines?
So far this season, his primary job has been driving a truck because CDL drivers are hard to come by- but he’s also the go-to for all repairs. However, this fall we will run 3 machines & he will be in a combine. Jack of all trades.
the "Key" is the half round piece of metal the "Key Way" is the slot the key goes in :)
You get the point
@@HaydenOnHarvest just trying to help you out
Iv got an idea as to why the right side woodruff key called it quits, right side seems for the most part the fully loaded side so maby more load or stress on that woodruff key?
Could be a possibility, if you’re leading then your right side of your header is full all day long and your left is hanging out 1-2 feet and if you’re the second combine then you have about 1 foot on each side hanging out.
Was just a thought, I ran an Elrus crusher and screening plant in a gravel pit and if one side had more load you could tell by the bearing temperatures not exactly the same but just a thought. But keep an eye on the key there's a good chance it will go again once there any play in that key they let go more than you like. All the best man keep the videos coming!!
🙏❤️❤️🦅🦅🦅🦅❤️❤️🙏
You gotta grease those points daily.... Lol
Man how long dose wheat harvest last out west I live in Kentucky and we are done in July
We start wheat the ending of April in South Texas and end the wheat run in North Dakota around the end of August/ beginning of September
Thanks for showing the wheat that is laying flat you and your mom do a great job of picking it up here in northern Illinois we get corn that gets wind damage and it goes down it's a one way picking it makes it for a bad day great videos
Blowing off the header is not fun
Agree
How come you and Emma didn’t go live?
Never got a chance :/ maybe before we leave ND we can
How much do you get paid per acre? You don’t have to answer, for some people it’s a personal question
What no video of the party???
Do you want ASMR of me eating or what?😂😂
@@HaydenOnHarvest no been to those parties before, wanted the stories for a good laugh. Lol
