Hayden, you need to ask Emma if SHE has ever gotten stuck. She commented after you got stuck "Boys". At least you have good Yankum ropes to pull you out, we had to use log chains and then worry about them breaking.

Hi Hayden. Spring time here in the South Island. New Zealand. Lovely. As a suggestion for your blocking up on the cutter bar that you are all having in dull conditions. Suggest you consider replacing all the dual fingers and put in a new knife. If you can extend your harvesting time a extra hour a day it may be cost effective. Grain bags in general are a short term storage solution because wildlife can tear the bag & cause damage to the grain. Under certain conditions the crop can be stored in the bags at a higher than normal moisture content without excessive heating. Cost per bushel for storage is cheaper but bags are a one time use product plus specialized equipment to load & unload are required. Grain bags save on the major capital investment of traditional bins especially when yearly crop yields vary. Another advantage of grain bags is the saving of time & trucks to haul crop immediately from field. Some crops store better in grain bags than bins giving the farmer the option to match the storage method that best suits the type of crop.

Do you harvest any fall crops? I like cutting wheat myself but i enjoy switching crops also.
When you or the person that purchases the equipment you use ask them if they could possibly buy a combine that has four wheel drive that why you could possibly avoid that issue
