I did have vintage modified mustang but it was not in the same ballpark as my hss strat. I have a mxr Zakk wylde berserker overdrive and a Kerry King 10 band eq pedal. The Zakk pedal is like a more dirty sounding sd1. Kerry actually uses the zakk overdrive on his pedal board. Hey thanks for mentioning my comment take care out there Dustin!
You are welcome Travis. I didn't know about Kerry using Zakk's pedal. I've always heard it was good, I've never tried it though. I think a more dirty sd-1 would sound better too, I always thought that pedal needed a little bit more volume to it.
Sorry man, I'm taking a hiatus to write an album. I haven't publicly announced it yet. I'm gonna put out the content I had made up beforehand first and then I'll let everyone know about the hiatus after in a video.
I had been a MASSIVE Iced Earth fan for decades. However, in light of recent events, I've ended up with a soured opinion of Jon Shaffer. I know people say you can love the art but not the artist but that only goes so far. Sort of like Burzum. If he didn't keep doing more wacked-out stuff, people might be able to look past it all. In Iced Earth's case, I think I was always more of a fan of Barlow's singing than anything else. I suppose they're done now anyway. Shaffer arrested by FBI, members quit, label dropped the band. Seems like a lot of "final nails" in the ol' coffin.
Wow, I didn't know about any of that. It's been awhile since I looked into what Iced Earth has been doing. I do agree I love Barlow's singing. There have been many bands that I stopped listening to because of what they were doing outside of the music. It might just be the end for Iced Earth.
@@DustinAlford Sometimes you have to separate the art from the artist. I have been an Iced Earth fan since 1995, and it's hard to let go of such a great body of work due to Shaffer's treason. After supporting him for two decades he will never see another dime of mine. I am really looking forward to more music from Stu Block (Annihilator!) and Jake Dwyer (Witherfall!) of the last incarnation of Iced Earth.

The Fullbore gets a lot of hate, but I believe it is a good pedal. It just takes a little more tweaking than most pedals.
I'd love to try it out. It seems very unique. There are some hard to tweak pedals out there that sound amazing with the right settings.
@@DustinAlford you can find them used for $40-75.
Hey Bro! Where you been? What's been going on?
