It was originally $3500 but I ended up getting it for $2,500 because I traded my car for $1000 off. The lady that I purchased the van from was looking for a car while I was looking for a van so it was a win/win for the both of us.
I got fired from my job a few wks ago and need to move out of apt by end of the month (no money for rent). I was hoping to buy a van to move into in a few months time. Getting fired drastically changed plans. Unemployment takes weeks to kick in so now I have to use the little savings I had for the van to pay bills. So frustrating!! But I am determined to do this. I keep looking and trust that a van will come along that I can afford and move into now. I can build it out as I go along but needs to be somewhat liveable now. I have two weeks 🙏 I still owe on my car and won't get title til it's paid off. Quite the conundrum. I should be able to get $1500 for it, but can't sell w/o a title. I have been watching videos for months and really love your van. Very inspired by so many people living the life that I thought I was crazy to want. Hope to bump into you sometime...I will be headed to AZ as soon as I can.

It would be cool if she only had 1 kid but my God really?! With two kids and no man around that makes her look like she is a unstable mom with no stabliabilty or order in life to her two kids and to be frank it seems more like she's just a homeless mom that lost her job and made up for it with a back income tax check and made a choice to invest in a permanent position to keep out of being put out because she couldn't afford to keep up with her bills, then too she home school because she was always getting kicked out from place to place forcing her kids to relocate all the time because her stability wasn't right from the jump I'm just saying what what most people are probably thinking here and just being nice about it. That will give you tons of ideas for improving your van life, for DIYs to create utility objects with junk and disposables, and getting the most out of your van, eg. heating, saving on gas and fuel, etc. as well as for security on the road and any laws that you may be required to follow as you travel from state to state. Everyone I have encountered that have roots in another country have always introduced themselves by stating their ethnic group. Puerto Ricans, Italians, Jamaicans, Greeks, etc. When they open restaurants they usually incorporate their homeland in the name. I wish people would respect the differences in one another instead trying to force conformity on everyone. Hi nomad sista you can speak however you wish. I'm amazed at how easily people are offended. I'm just over fifty and so close to not being tied down. I fully feel being so close. But it is nice to have the time to do planning. Cheaper to plan an do than wish you had done more planning. I'm amazed at how many van builds get redone three and four times. Expensive.

@adiamondsmile Thank you so much! It's very interesting that you said that because I honestly don't see many black people when we're traveling or online. I know that there's Daring Danielle and Off The Grid With a Kid and those women inspired to just do this despite it not being "common". Even before vanlife, I've always been a person that enjoyed traveling and exploring. When I had my daughters, I wanted to give them the positive memories I had growing up - which was traveling. I can recall being on top of Lookout Mountain, overlooking 7 states, countless road trips, and visiting the NASA space center.
This lifestyle may be "different", but it's been well worth it and I'm thankful that I've been blessed to be able to work remotely these past years as that is what allowed us to travel and afford our adventures. I just want to encourage my daughters that they shouldn't let their skin complexion stop them from doing something positive.

I am a white woman but a lesbian so also a minority (although I can easily pass as straight since I don't look gay) but I feel a special sense of joy when I see other minorities overcoming life's challenges and succeeding and having that amazing attitude you see with Tiffany. I'm brought to tears (tears of joy) watching this video and hearing Tiffany's story! There are struggles but then there are always more people who are there to love you than to tear you down in life and people who love seeing you shine! That's what I've learned in my 51 years.

There's an older woman with severe arthritis on UA-cam (I think her channel name is Living Life with Letty) that camps in a small SUV/ minivan by herself. When she needs to come off the road to manage her health or be with family, she does. Check out her videos and maybe you'll get so inspired that you'll get out there too❤

Beautiful woman of God, I'm so impressed by how you are raising your children and what you're teaching them. One thing that speaks to me is the security your girls have by being with you all of the time. I grew up in a very small setting with parents and 3 siblings. My parents didn't have much but they were very responsible and took good care of us. They had high standards for education and teaching us important values in life. Now I appreciate that little nest that gave me much needed security by having my parents close to me. I think this is very good for young children. I have a house but am planning to get a van after I pay the house off in about a year. I love watching these vanlife videos. I can't wait to get out on the road and experience more life and adventure. Tiffany and other vanlifers are so inspirational.
I like that not everything is perfect and she's still figuring it out, but she's a great example of making it work.
