Yessir they did. Most draft mules are pretty laid back for the most especially compared to saddle type stock. I use to break a right smart of those type mule. But just got to where I don’t fool with em anymore. Now I just fool with the draft mules and horses. These mules are on up in age to, so that helps a bunch. Not to mention, Mr Summers has put a LOT into them. Anyway, thanks for the kind words and also for watching my friend. Take care and do come again, please
Awesome! Glad ya enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words!!! Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. I surely appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please
Noooo prob! Yes, my pa was the same way about his mules. A feller tends to get really close to his mules for sure. Thx for watching and commenting my friend. And the kind words. Take care and as always, do come again!
Yes ma’am! It doesn’t take but a min to unload it for sure. Thx for taking time to watch and comment. I surely appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please!
Yessir for sure! They had such a good time and Mr Summers loves having them too. It was a good time to enjoy each others company for sure. Thank you sir for such kind words and also for always watching. I am grateful! Take care and come back when ya can…
Mr. Summers is so soft spoken..you can tell he loves his mules. You can also tell how much you to care for each other. Remember everyone, we serve a "risen" savior. Happy Easter
I sure love watching young kids having real fun the way I did at there age. I think that I use to work with Mr Summers daughter for years. She always talked about his mule's. I very much enjoy your videos thank you.
Yessir me too! No tv’s, iPads, or internet. Just sunshine and mules. We had a ball. Yes, he has a daughter named Lori. She’s a good one too. Thx for the kind words and for watching. Take care and do come again when ya can, please!
@@zachodom7486 My grandparents were not wealthy and farmed with mules and horses. They built the house from Sears and roebuck mail order. She would tell us stories about growing up on the farm and how riding the mules even when running the spreader was an adventure. The mule team were out in the pasture and were sadly struck dead from lightning. Thanks again for the happy visual 😉
Yes! I’ve had a few good ones over the years thankfully. I am blessed for sure. Thanks for the kind words and for watching! Take care..and do come again, please!
Working smarter, not harder. That comes with being around a few seasons. You are blessed to have a mentor and friend who is so willing to share his wisdom. 😊
That’s true and yes I am blessed no doubt! I am thankful…he’s helped me a lot thru the years. Thank you for the kind words and for watching! Take care my friend and come back when ya can!

Yes for sure! I hope I can get around as good as Mr Summers when I’m his age. And still have mules! Thanks for the kind words and for watching! Take care and do come again, please!
Those are some nice looking Mules ! When the steam engine found its way into the logging industry... They were originally called " Donkeys" by the loggers... Since that was what they were replacing
They’re good ones for sure. Yeah, Mr Summers came up with it. He said he can’t heave it up there anymore like he use too. It’s biothane material, so it’s not too heavy. Not any heavier than any other type of harness imho. I can still throw mine over em, but one day I may need this setup myself. I just hope I’m still able when I’m his age. Thanks for the kind words and for always watching my friend! Take care and do come again, anytime!
I will have to consider that myself. I am down to one horse right now,( lost one to a severe colic) but he is over 18 hands and I am 77 yrs. Harnessing hasn't become easier.@@zachodom7486
Wonderful video of the different generations spending time together. So wonderful to be able to learn from our elders. So much we can learn from. Our elders and our youngins are Blessings from God! God Bless your family and Happy Easter!

Yes ma’am. Draft mules were some of the first forms of mules and bred out of draft horse mares and mammoth Jackstock donkeys. They get mighty big. Anyway, thank you for the kind words and also for taking time to watch and comment. Thx!
Yessir you’re most welcome and thx a whole bunch for watching and commenting. I surely appreciate it. Thx for the kind words! We try to live up to that. Take care and do come again, please!
Your videos always bring back fond memories of my childhood! Your little girls are so precious and they will always remember these memories as I remember mine as well! Thanks for another great video! God bless you and your family always!
I sure hope they do! And thank you so kindly. I really appreciate it. And I’m glad ya enjoy the videos. That makes them worth doing! Thx again, and thx for watching! I really appreciate it. Take care my friend and come back anytime, please!
I used clean this "farmers" barn with a ground driven all steel wheel manure spreader. McCormick or International i believe. The team i used was a John Deere R.😆 I was quit young at the time. Lets just say he had 5 kids and i worked more on that farm than they did.
Ha! I heard that…I know the types you’re speaking of. And I do like your team..those R models were tough!!! Take care my friend and thx for the kind words…and for watching! I appreciate it
Well Zach I sent you a comment I don't know what happened to it but some girls going to make good mule scanner to training Summer's got some nice mules did you get a comment from me earlier well I'm going to let you go buddy I know you busy man be safe be careful this week and I hope you get to work in the woods this week God bless your friend Billy
Hey brother! Good to hear from you. This is the only comment I’ve gotten so far buddy. I am glad to hear from you and hope you’re doing alright. Thx for the kind words my friend and for always watching! I appreciate it. Take care of yourself bro!
LoL Zach now you are filming something I do know about, and that is digging out barn sheds where animals eat. I don't need smell ovision. I very well recall the ammonia smell.
You all are what Americans should be and like I said before your videos are so wholesome and such a pleasure to watch may God bless you and your all's family's! We have such a wonderful God He sure made us something to enjoy when he made the Donkey and the horse. Did you know that Jesus road a cross into Jerusalem when he road the Donkey and carried one out on his back for us? The Donkey is the only animal in the world that has a cross on it. Have a good year I'll post a video of my mules on Facebook when I finish breaking them. There not big mules there line back duns one John and a molly there All I could afford but I love them the molly drives but the John doesn't lead yet I'll get it done though there both almost 14 hand's the mean everything to me though I'm blessed to have them thanks to sexton horse and mules. But at the same time I saved them . all I got is a buggy and buggy harness now I got to save up for work harness and a small wagon. Your friend from the foothills of the Smokey mountains! O yeah it took me from December to the first of this month to get them I'm going to work on them All summer and next winter if that's what it takes. But with God nothing is impossible. Amen
Hey buddy! Yessir I totally understand what you’re saying. And yes, the donkey always holds a special place in my heart just because of what it done for our lord. I’m proud you got a team. Take your time! Be safe and keep saving! You’ll get to where you want to be in no time. Thanks for such kind words my friend! I surely appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment also. People like you make it worth doing for sure. Take care brother, and do come again, please
They’re just older. My mules are same size as his. He’s just a smaller man than I am lol. His mules are filled out better than mine are: but mine are still growing too. A mule will spread out until they’re about 6-7 yo. Thank you ma’am for the kind words and for always watching! Take care and do come again, anytime! Please
Where are you located? Best thing if to find someone close by within reason to help you learn and good broke animals to start out with. Any of the Lynn Miller working horses books are great to study.
Why did you not get some footage from directly behind the manure spreader Oh yea, now I know it is the same reason John Deere will not stand behind their manure spreaders. God Bless you my Brother Tell Mr. Summers he has a team of fine mules But he already knows that
That’s right! True story..lol. Thank you for the kind words my friend. I will tell him for you. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. Take care and come back anytime ya feel like it…
THose young girls sure enjoyed the ride!!! And these draft mules are "easy going" compared to pack mules
Yessir they did. Most draft mules are pretty laid back for the most especially compared to saddle type stock. I use to break a right smart of those type mule. My grandpa had a pair of bay mules he raised as a kid if you got to ride them when he was leading them to water you were king it was special
Sorry had to stop and get rid of some tears at the memory's

Yes ma’am! It doesn’t take but a min to unload it for sure. Thx for taking time to watch and comment. I surely appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please!
Amazing , these young girls will always remember this special day with Mr. Summers & the mules ! Enjoy & stay safe everyone . Great video.

Yes! He does…he’s spent many years with them!
My Ma has been gone for several years but her stories come to life seeing those girls having fun in and around the barn and mules.
That’s awesome! I am glad you enjoyed it

I thoroughly enjoyed this Zach. Wouldn’t want to be right behind that cart though. lol. That’s really neat. ❤️❤️
