Tommy Lasorda served as an ambassador of the game. I caught a Padres game at Petco Park after Lasorda retired, and he was at the game too, only a few seats away -- and sat w/ the general audience -- a real "man of the people"

Scott Leius’ HR against Tom Glavine.... still amazing to think Leius won that battle
30 years ago today
You can tell that the World Series was the pennicle of professional sports before the Super Bowl snatched away that spot and ran away with it. Funny is that 30 years later, the Braves won it all with injuries that would have destroyed a 90s Braves squad. The expectation of returning back to the World Series in 2023 but the Braves have a young core that may experience a dog fight for the NL East. I see a lot of similarities of the Braves from 2018 onwards with the 1991 squad especially the years building up towards 1991 squad. I wasn't even alive but I'm going by speculation.
The Braves-Mets rivalry is starting to pick up and looking forward to another dog fight for the NL East crown. I expect the Phillies to compete as well.
57:52 What happened?! 🤷♂ That was weird.
