    Nice simple install, thanks. I'll add that it never hurts to put some never-seize on the old bracket bolts you reinstall.

    Do I need to adjust the bump stops or shocks?

    I am looking into getting this setup. I think I am due for shocks as well. What shocks do you recommend thar will fit this set up well? Keep in mind that I only go on light trials once or twice a year.

    I put this kit on my 2015 JK over the weeknd. After i was done i took it for a drive and all was good. noticed the steering wheel was off a little bit so i corrected that. The next morning, i was driving to work and when i made a left and right turn the Traction control little flickered and it did not do that before i corrected the steering wheel. would that have caused that or did i mess something up? I am worried. This was my first big project i have done by my self.
    thanks

    I noticed that you didn't need to heat up the bolts on this example...

    Should also get an adjustable track bar with the spacers?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 роки тому +1

      Generally, adjustable track bars only become needed once you lift your Jeep higher than 2 inches. This 1.5" kit won't put your front axle out of alignment enough to really *need* it. If your stock track bar bushings are worn and you're looking to replace it though, an adjustable one would be great to pair with a kit like this. Hope this helps! -Zach

    I want to get your 2.5in lift kit with shocks and I want to get rid of factory front rake. Can I just add these without any other parts than the ones that come with your 2.5 kit? Also is there just a spacer to lift the front and not the rear? Thank you in advance.

    So I bought Skyjacker Black Mac shocks that have a “lift” of 0-1 inches. Can I use these shocks with this leveling kit to run larger tires? I know you said in the video that you use the factory coil and shock. Thanks for the help!

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 роки тому +1

      You absolutely can! Technically you would really want a shock that works for 1.5" of lift instead of 0-1", but since its so close - it should work just fine! -Zach

      @@extremeterrain aweosme thank you! Is there an extended or collapsed length that I should look at? Or is it all about the lift height?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 роки тому +1

      It really comes down to shock length and lift height, you want to make sure they match up properly. I'd recommend reaching out to Skyjacker's Tech Team to see if they can give you a little extra insight when it comes to their specific shocks if you're looking for more information. 😁 -Zach

    Looking to put this on a JKU Rubicon with 35" tires. Would that work well? Want it for daily driver but live in rural midwest KS and would like to be able to deal with snow and some country driving. No rock crawling etc.

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  3 роки тому +1

      35s on a 1.5" leveling kit would be a pretty tight fit without some kind of aftermarket or higher clearance fender flares. If you only want to lift your Jeep 1.5", I'd recommend sticking to a 33" tire. If you're dead set on 35s, you'll want to look into a 2.5" lift kit at the very least. -Zach

    • @AnglinTexas
      @AnglinTexas 3 роки тому +1

      @ExtremeTerrain.com contradicts their self on the issue. In this video ua-cam.com/video/M3O0SXeZ9Kw/v-deo.html they state that you can run 35" tires with no lift for on road driving, so with the added 1.5" of lift you should be good. You may need wheels or spacers if you go with a wide tire to give clearance on the inside while turning. I agree if you want to flex you need a 2.5" + lift.

  • @HumanBean520
    @HumanBean520 4 роки тому +2

    Is it possible to run a 2.5 in lift under the leveling kit? Looks like my Jeeps previous owners installed it and I didn’t realize.

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 роки тому +5

      Definitely! Plenty of people put spacers on their Jeep after installing a lift in order to tune out any rake that may be left after lifting, or just to get a little height back after putting on heavy bumpers and accessories. The included sway bar links probably won't be long enough if you plan on installing something like this with lift springs, but the spacers will work just fine. -Zach

    2015 JKUR. Keeping my stock wheels and 32” tires. 2 questions about this. Will my electronic sway bar disconnect button still work with this kit? Second, I am keeping my stock wheels and tires. Can I just mount them up the same after I install the pucks, and not need any wheel spacers?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 роки тому

      This leveling kit will absolutely work with the electronic swaybar disconnect system AND your stock wheels and tires! Take a look at your electronic swaybar disconnect system behind the bumper when you get a chance, its pretty interesting. The swaybar itself is what disconnects, not the links themselves. -Zach

    Extreme terrain does not, will not not stand behind any product they sell. They say it is not their problem to everything its the manufacturer. Their goal is to resist refunds or replace product at all cost. I have four wranglers in my family. They have drove us crazy. Do yourself a favor a purchase from Quadratec. Very professional and helpful.

      @@extremeterrain But don't you need a lift to get the axle that far down or can I do that with floor jacks

    • @rickmorton9492
      @rickmorton9492 3 роки тому

      @@TonyF1MMA The whole point of lowering the axle away from the Jeep body is to put enough distance so that you can get those coil springs out and that's really it. Another option if you're not having much luck getting that separation with just jack stands and a floor jack, is that you can try getting a coil compressor and using that to squeeze the coils so that you pull them out without needing a lot of room. They're not expensive, though be careful with them, they will want to murder you if you don't pay attention to what you're doing and compress both sides evenly and only for as long as you absolutely need.

      @@TonyF1MMA jack stands will give you enough room for this.
