    Does your 2018-2019 Jeep Wrangler JL 4 Door lack the height to clear certain off-road trails? If so, it’s time to get this Teraflex 1.50-inch Performance Spacer Lift Kit. This lift kit provides 1.50 inches of additional lift, designed to accommodate a larger tire for better clearance during off-road driving. With this much clearance, you can roll over rough off-road terrain with no problem whatsoever.
    At the core of this Teraflex Performance Spacer Lift Kit are versatile front and rear spring spacers. These spacers are designed to correct your Wrangler’s factory nose-down rake for a more aggressive look. In addition, the additional height provided by these spacers help compensate for additional aftermarket gear.
    Installing this Teraflex Performance Spacer Lift Kit requires only simple hand tools and a bolt-on process. No cutting or drilling is necessary for installation.
    This Teraflex Performance Spacer Lift Kit comes with a 1-year warranty on materials and workmanship. This is to ensure the lift kit complies with strict factory standards.
    This Teraflex 1.50-Inch Performance Spacer Lift Kit fits all 2018-2019 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-door models. terrain.jp/2LZeOjz

    I'd suggest loosening the upper and lower control arm bolts before dropping the axles. That takes the tension off of the bushings so they are free to move. If you don't do this, the factory bushings are going to be pretty much destroyed. They are not designed to allow the control arms that much movement while tightened.

    I did this easily with jack stands and two jacks to raise and lower the suspension. Track bar bolt wouldn't line up with or without wheels and shocks on, so I turned the wheel slightly and it lined right up. Super easy install!

    While you're in their you should replace the front spring base pad with a Metalcloak correction pad to help keep springs straight.

    Great instructional video. It helped me with the install, much simpler than instructions supplied by manufacturer. They listed several unnecessary steps including loosening the control arms (not needed). The only thing I needed to do was utilize a small bottle jack to articulate the axles to get springs out. That was because I was working in driveway with floor jacks and jack stands. I appreciated the video and it earned you a subscriber👍

      You definitely want to loosen the control arms unless you enjoy destroying the factory bushings.

    superglue on that rear isolator and spacer will keep you from pulling your hair out... That way it holds itself up aligned. Just a few drops around it.

    Is it safe to just lift the rear and leave the front in it’s stock height?

  • @Tac0312
    @Tac0312 3 роки тому +3

    I have a question. I just bought a new JL. Measured it. It's perfectly level from the factory. I want a slight lift to work better with the 35's I just put on, but selling levelling kits on already level vehicles would make the front higher which is NOT safe. I have a truck and pull a 40' trailer so before I set it up properly I knew what that was like. That probably explains why I see all the JLs driving around with the front ends higher. Do you have a small lift that is same for front and rear?

    So I don’t need get shock extensions ? I just want to make sure my factory wheels are just fine. The truck shop in my town said I can’t just use spacers even for daily driving I would have issues. 🤦🏽‍♀️

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  Рік тому +1

      This is a very basic kit so you shouldn't run into issues with the height and adding to this kit would be at your discretion. It wouldn't be a bad idea to add shock extensions, but they are not required. This kit will require aftermarket wheels w/ 4.75” backspacing or less or 1.75" offset wheel adapters/wheel spacers for the best fitment.

  • @funkdoktor

    do you require to do any modifications to the inside of a wheel well of a WRANGLER JL 4WD equipped with a 3.5 in. suspension lift & 35.0 in. M-A/T radial tyres??? Please advise!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 роки тому +1

      JLs honestly do not need a lot of lift to fit larger tires compared to TJs and JKs! You can comfortably fit 35s with 2.5" of lift. With 3.5" of lift you will have plenty of room to flex things out and you honestly won't have to worry about wheel well modifications as long as you wheel has proper backspacing. -Zach

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  Рік тому

    Will this work on a stock Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon on 35’s?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  2 роки тому

      You should be good to go with 35's on a Rubi. The fenders sit a bit higher so you'll have a bit more clearance and the factory bump stops will still offer the limit you need. Thanks for watching! -Merideth

      I’m not an expert, but there are videos of jl’s with 285/75/17 that don’t rub, even at full flex. I think if you disconnect the sway bar though, that’s a different story. I also believe I’ve read from the wrangler forums that 285’s WILL rub on the jk’s though.

    Why do you have to cut off the bracket can’t you just remove the nut???

    • @melvin5818
      @melvin5818 3 роки тому

      Probably because she wont use it again and having it loose will hurt the brake lines. I dont know i would have cut two inche of plate and make some kind of extender i dont trust myself with a Grindr near those brake lines.

    • @TheJunkieWhisperer
      @TheJunkieWhisperer 3 місяці тому

      You aren't cutting the bracket for removal. You're cutting the bracket in order to get the brake line out. It's easier to cut when it's still bolted in place. Score it to weaken it, pry it open, remove brake line, then unbolt the bracket and discard. If you try to pry it open without cutting it, the lower part of the bracket bends instead.

    Just don't get that these kits always want to lift the front more. To me a slight rake allows for carrying passengers with luggage or gear or pulling a trailer and still being level. Raising the front more seems pointless to me, but it seems to be what everyone does. I'd like to find 1.5 spacers front and rear.

      @@extremeterrain thanks for your answer, now I'm confused, the terraflex dealer here in canada says actually that setup it is incomplete because I will have caster corrections problems. And he said spacers always makes the car stiffer.. on bumps . What do you recommend more for a budget setup.. because fox kit . Just to save manufacture warranty here in Canadá is more than 3k .. I know in that range we can find better options even cheapest.. appreciate your answer. Thanks

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  Рік тому

      Your dealer technically is correct, adding these spacers will cause changes in your suspension geometry and cause misalignments. But since the lift itself is only 1.5", it really won't be THAT drastic of a change. The ride quality still shouldn't be that different from the factory. If you want this kit to be a little more complete - you could easily add a set of front lower control arms to correct your caster and a new set of shocks made specifically for 1.5" of lift to help the ride quality. See the following links below, hope this helps! -Zach

    Yes Jeep Wrangler will look amazing!

    Lift kit for 1.5
    Mechanic to install $2,800

      $2800 for install would be a largeeeee overpay. I'd estimate $800-$1000 tops depending on your area, especially since this kit only involves adding spacers to your existing suspension. Pair that with a new set of tires on your factory wheels, and you could have a brand new looking Jeep for around $2000 depending on what size and brand tires you want! -Zach
