I had the Magic Keyboard for my last iPad and while it's nice, it could never come close to replacing my Macbook and the weight and bulk of it made it larger than a MacBook too, too heavy to justify travelling with. The outer material is also awful, it picks up dirt and oil and is impossible to keep clean, the corners also start to fray after a few months, that's disappointing considering the price. Just a thought, if someone is trying to choose between an iPad or a Macbook, you can buy both a 13" MacBook M1 and a 12.9" iPad Pro M1 and still have money left over for a weekend away somewhere! - while the M4 iPad is incredible, it's a bit of a tough sell considering an M1 is 1/3 the price now and in certain ways better (better speakers and more durable) - performance wise, you'd be hard pressed to feel a difference and the miniLED ProMotion display holds up well (it's MUCH nicer than the iPad Air display).
