Amazing! I feel like all fridges should come standard with these containers! But since they don't, your video is so great for showing what an organized fridge could and should look like!!!! I am so excited to go and transform my fridge, thank you thank you thank you!
Great video Shirlee! You really gave me loads of ideas and inspired me to organize my fridge and freezer. I love how you utilized every inch of space. I know side by side fridge/freezers can be a pain to figure space out, but you are workin it. I also love how all your food is healthy! I seriously need to take note of that and follow.
Fun4Lala Thanks friend! It's been a year of struggling. I'm so happy LuLewbelle asked me to the collab with her because it really made me take action & I couldn't be happier! We've used it now for over a week, and it still looks the same because it really is functional.
I went from a life of a twin mom, my first, to having eleven more children ...... that was a long time ago. There are 5 left at home, teens and above. I find the need for more order now then when they were little. Like you, I use storage containers, bins, zip lock and freezer bags to organize my food. On my latest shopping trip, just before school started, I purchased dozens of AJ Frozen Pancakes and Waffles - along with frozen sausage links. Once I got home, I placed 3 waffles and 2 sausages in a sandwich size freezer bag, and with a permanent marker, I listed the variety, the date, and the flavor of sausage then neatly repacked them into the freezer. I have even separated eggs in zip lock bags, placing them in containers for greater convenience. We have to maintain order in a home because everyone has access to the refrigerator. Thank you for sharing your tips. I look for every opportunity to implement an organizational system that will help us not to work harder, but to work smarter!
+JournalsJewelsandJourneysMagazine Wow 11 kids AFTER the twins. You deserve an award!! How in world do still have such nice hair. I'd would have ripped all out by now LOL!
+Life as a Twin Mom I gave birth to 13 children all natural. i was never offered anything from the beginning with the twins. I was just told. "You're doing a great job! That's the story of my life. LOL Well the truth is I'm just beginning a life of "Me Time." Our youngest is 14, and the twins are 36. My UA-cam channel has become my new outlet!
Very nice work! I love a good organized ....ANYTHING. You've clearly put some thought into your fridge system, and I love it. I wish I had a container store close by.
+Will Kirk Thank you :) You can order online since you don't have one close. Also look up the products you like from The Container Store and you may be able to find them at Bed Bath & Beyond or on Amazon with free shipping if you have prime.
Shannon Conroy Really?? Trust me your not missing anything. I'd go back to regular one asap if I could. They don't fit that much. Glad I could give you some inspiration!
Life as a Twin Mom Really? I moved to side by side years ago and prefer it this way. I'd prefer freezer bottom but it's not energy efficient. Maybe it's because I'm very tall. Plus, I think my fridge is wider. The fridges I dislike most are the ones with the freezer at the top. I use the fridge part a lot more than the freezer part and don't like that part being at the most convenient height. Anyway, appreciated the freezer tips. I find the freezer a bit awkward to organize.
bread tend to go stale quicker if you store it in the fridge due to the starch molecules crystalising faster, and potatoes and onions don't need to be kept in the fridge, and will keep longer if stored in a cool, dark place, eg a cool cupboard. Other than that, good job, looks cool
i thoroughly enjoyed your organization collab! i love your idea of having a section for the kiddos snacks. i will follow your tips. the dollar tree bins are awesome. i use them for my daughters lego and what not, i will definitely use them for fridge organization as well! thank u for sharing. your videos are so awesome and helpful.
Keiki Toys and Joys The kids snack area was something I've wanted to do for a while. I'm so happy with how it came out & they like having their independence. Yes the Dollar Tree bins are a great deal! Thanks for watching!!
great video, you gave me great freezer ideas, I never thought to use the containers in the freezer. WOW, you made my day Ms. ....As a side note, I just found your channel, you are a TWIN MOM, how blessed are you.
I'm sure especially with having kids that you appreciate the fact that the caps on the milk bottles screw on the inside of the neck instead of the outside thereby eliminating drips
Sensational Finds Thanks friend! The juice/milk containers help out a lot. Plus we live in a condo & have to take our garbage across the parking area. Now we can make one big trip after shopping and most of the food garbage is out of the house.
love it!!! great organization , i always clean fruits and then store also , i have a side by side and will def be buying some storing containers/bins. thanks
Onions and potatoes do not need to be stored in the fridge. When you store bread in the fridge it stales faster! It should be frozen or kept wrapped at room temp. At room temp it will keep well for 3 days if bought fresh.
Thx so much for your kindness in sharing these valuable tips. - just a few comments - I've read somewhere that certain produce should not be washed until you're going to use it - sorry, can't recall if it was for nutritional reasons, or what? Also, I thought potatoes and onions are supposed to be stored out of the fridge & not near each other? Hope this helps...God Bless...
Wonderful! Ur so organized, I feel peace when I view ur fridge. 1 tip to store ur potatoes, as they come in net bags, we tend to stash them away easily but e earthy dusts falls to e bottom making cleaning difficult, so u cud put a tray tat fits into e bottom of ur fridge n when it gets dirty u cud juz tk it out n wipe it clean! :)
Could u let me know what the bins in ur freezer r called and those juice boxes and the square and small snack contains and where they r all from I just bought a side by side but I'm finding I think my other fridge had more space so I'm looking for space saving containers plus organization with a husband and 2 kids a toddle and a new born I need all th we space I can get
+Kelli Bailey All of the items you are asking about were bought at the container store. I just updated the description box with links to everything. You can go back to the video and click "See More" and find the link to the container you need :)
I work with produce and would just like to remind people, onions and russet potatoes should not go in refrigerator. It causes them to sprout faster. Store them in a cool dark place.
Thanks, Jordan! Check out my new fridge and freezer video --->ua-cam.com/video/RASrpo44Ink/v-deo.html Thanks to so many awesome subscribers I've fixed that problem and put them in my pantry you can see them in my new pantry video here --->ua-cam.com/video/fGCHrNGuAbM/v-deo.html 😊
LoVed this Video I'm now a Follower 💟 I LOVE the Multi Purpose Bins (The Container Store ) I use them in my Pantry, my fridge, my Bathroom & Kitchen Cupboards too. I've been wanting to use in Freezer but just haven't made a trip bk to Container Store 😕 Well my B-Day is next Monday maybe I can get the Hub to take me this weekend & go to the Cheesecake Factory for Lunch Too 😃
DorPurseFreak Wait your birthday's on the 29th?!?!?! If so were long lost twins because thats my birthday! Just ate at the Cheesecake Factory for the first time last month. YUMMY!! for real! TFW!! :)

nice organization, but for me need some modification, the most of my fridge products are fresh no packed, those include vegies, meat, fish, prepared food and leftovers (those are in my fridge for two or three days only - then they need a space) I will look for some trays of those
thank you honey!!! as soon as I cross the border, i will buy the stickers, i live in mexicali baja california, my neighbor is calexico california, MUCHAS GRACIAS.
You could be freeing up so much more room in your fridge. Obviously, unopened condiments could go in the pantry, but also, things like bread, onions, and potatoes don't have to be refrigerated. Just a thought but whatever works for you...
Raina Ruckman Those were things I never refrigerated when I got my first place, but over the years I found that they last longer if I do. Don't know why my parent never have a problem but my bread will mold in a few day if not. Thanks for the tip though :)
LOL-I was just about to leave that very same comment< but read thru some other comments first and saw that you already said it! Glad you made that point> I'm always amazed how many people don't know that! Good video though> ;-)
Not trying to be critical, but I want to caution you that you're using entirely too much plastic.. Not only is it environmentally unacceptable. it's also extremely unhealthful for your family, as well as having an adverse effect on some of the food you're inappropriately storing. Sorry to say this because I admire many of your skills.
and just so you know i WILL be taking full credit for this marriage when it happens. i recommended her. i was the casting director in this transaction.
Milk and drinks shouldn't go on the door it is the warmest place of the refrigerator! the coldest part is the bottom shelf which is where milk is supposed to go!!!
Your absolutely right, but we've never had a problem since our milk/drinks go so quickly. We do keep our extra gallons of milk and juices on the bottom shelf.
Onions don't belong in the refrigerator. Cutting stems off of strawberries and prewashing them makes them spoil faster.you have little children so I'm sure they eat up the food very quickly but for people that are single that method doesn't work well.
It must be because my son has needed speech services for the last 6 years, and has a really hard time pronouncing his S's. I'm just used to modeling the correct sound for that letter so he can learn. #momlife
Packing the fruits and washed veggies into a plastic bag has such a bad impact on the environment!! Such a waste, incredible. Those zipper bags are pretty expensive, too.
+GreenCrystalRose I love the ikea Istad bags they're such great quality and can be washed and re-used. I make my own smoothie bags (mixed fruit) to keep in the freezer, all ready to grab and pop into the blender with yoghurt or fruit juice or water.
What kind of loser must you be to be interested in what's in someone's friggin' refrigerator? or to make an 11+ minute video on every item in your refrigerator? For Christ Sakes people, get a damn life, already! BTW-YT's Autoplay is getting cut the hell off.
I know girl!! I have since put them in the cabinet where they belong. Can you tell I don't know my way around the kitchen very well? Or at least I didn't! Bahahahah

Aww thanks Barbara
Love the milk/juice containers and the freezer bins!
Southern Mom The freezer bins are my favorite part. They work very well and I can take advantage of their height.
Wow! Great organization! :) We have a side by side and I think I may take these tips for ours. Thanks!
***** Thanks! Side by side's are so hard to keep clean. Glad I could help.
Life as a Twin Mom :) You're welcome and yes, they are!!
I really like this idea. I started doing this but still need to buy more containers.
Thanks for sharing!!
GWife2 try the dollar tree or Hollar! Same items as expensive stores without the price tag
Looks amazing Shirlee. You did a great job. And those bins look great. I need to get the juice and milk containers.

the dollar tree has all kinds of bins and containers and plastic baskets to organize your house and only a dollar its great
I always buy my bins from the dollar tree and some times from dollar general.
love it!!! great organization , i always clean fruits and then store also , i have a side by side and will def be buying some storing containers/bins. thanks
lagirlzhot Cleaning them saves so much room & time right? I'm so happy you can utilize some of these tips!

That's a good idea with bread.
I have the exact same fridge and ours is falling apart lol the bottom shelf you have juices on have almost nothing supporting it up.

Those have made my life so much easier!
Loved the video. Where did you find all the snack containers, like for the fresh fruit and yogurt?
💟YEAH I WANNA KNOW TOO 😃
I think the sm white lid 1's are from $ Tree (Can be used for freezing BabyFood too😊)
Do you find that the potatoes last longer in the fridge? Great organization ideas =)
MomReviews Yes especially in the summer months :)
Love this! I'd love to be in the next collab video
nice organization, but for me need some modification, the most of my fridge products are fresh no packed, those include vegies, meat, fish, prepared food and leftovers (those are in my fridge for two or three days only - then they need a space) I will look for some trays of those
I don't know why you refrigerate bread. How long do you keep bread?
So where do you put leftovers from meals?
I like to make extra so we can re-heat for lunches. I haven't found posts about organizing a fridge that includes space for organized leftovers.
great job
Thank you!
sweety, where did you buy the stickers???
Alarmex Villegas Target :)

onions, potatos and sweet potatos in the fridge? uh.. why?
I've always done it that way but since reading this I won't anymore. thanks
milk freezes very well
Wow really informative thanks for sharing :)
avseasypeasydishes Thanks for watching ;)
You should never refrigerate potatoes of any kind. It changes and increases the sugar content in them and they will not cook as well.
+marinemom70 Your so right!!! I have sense put them in my cabinet.
Also never store them together! The onions will cause the potatoes to rot faster.
Yup. Not onions either. Nice and clean, though.
LOL-I was just about to leave that very same comment< but read thru some other comments first and saw that you already said it! Glad you made that point> I'm always amazed how many people don't know that! Good video though> ;-)

All of these things already come packed in plastic. She's just switching bags.
zip loc bags used for dividing up food can be reused
@@watercolorflower Exactly!!!! Used twice as much plastic!
You have healthy foods sitting in unhealthy plastic. Please look into mesh bags for produce and mason jars let you see through
The ognon and potato in the refrigerator..!!!!! Bad idea. Certain vegetables should never be stored in the refrigerator.
Great job organizing your fridge I think I need to do that I also subscribe too😀😀😀
Thanks you! xoxo
i feel like under different circumstances we would have been friends

Milk should be placed to the back in the fridge and not on the door
Your right but honestly our milk goes so fast.

Potatoes and onion should not be placed in the fridge
OMGoodness girl, you're so right!! I have since moved them. Not much of cook but I guess you knew that. Haha.
Packing the fruits and washed veggies into a plastic bag has such a bad impact on the environment!! Such a waste, incredible. Those zipper bags are pretty expensive, too.
not if the bags are recycled. ..
They have to be produced first and won't last as long as boxes or glass will do.
+GreenCrystalRose I love the ikea Istad bags they're such great quality and can be washed and re-used. I make my own smoothie bags (mixed fruit) to keep in the freezer, all ready to grab and pop into the blender with yoghurt or fruit juice or water.
