Wow, you really inspired me, Bre. Sitting here in my kitchen getting ready to go to bed, (cup of tea). I thought, o.k., ....I need to put those eggs in the bin I purchased for them, a week ago. (smile). It's hot as heck fire, in Indiana and now that my hubby, is in a nursing home, I'll find things to keep busy. Thank the Good Lord, I am an artist, I paint every day. Thanks so very much, for that lovely voice and these, "cool" ideas, Hugs. Val
WAit a minute. I literally hit pause after you opened this up Girl I love you! I'm getting my life watching these videos ! I gotta get it together, honey!
+Roxanne Palmer Thank you. I love those mats but, I'm changing my kitchen decor. Need to find another design...oh well, I guess I'll be going to Dollar Tree looking at mats for inspiration :)))) Happy Holidays.
I have been watching a lot of your videos and I have a question how do you find time to do all of the things you show like your binders and meal plans etc... I am in awe of the organization and I think I am pretty organized.
+GreenCrystalRose Thank you sooo much for your comments GreenCrystalRose. My friends and family ask me the same question. I love organization and decorating and being a little OCD, adds to it. I don't think of it as something I must find time for, it just comes naturally. Like any hobby, I enjoy doing it. My husband says I'm allergic to chaos :) I think he is correct. Thank you for watching.
What a BEAUTIFUL fridge. I am in the process of getting my fridge organized. I love the eat me first section. Those metal meal bins for the week are fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
+PumpkinNikk Those place mats are adorable. I have changed my kitchen decor from the grape theme but I still have those placemats in my fridge. Thanks for watching.
You and Nikki (AthomewithNikki) have the most organized refrigerators and management systems! I just bought a new one today and have decided to start with a fresh perspective. I will be investing in those clear bins (I've always had my eyes on them) and milk/juice containers.
For the past day or so! I have been 'creeping' all of your videos!! I am truly inspired and love all of your organizational ideas! Your style reminds me of a lot of the wonderful ladies on YT that I follow! I love any and everything home organization and beautification!! Thank you for sharing! Your style is truly beautiful...btw...I am a new subie! :-)
Stephanie Durham Thank you sooo much! Your comments really inspire me to produce even better videos. I'm so happy you joined my channel. Welcome aboard and stay tuned for some great organization, functional and beautiful spaces to come. Thanks for watching, Bre.
Damaris Turner Hello Damaris and thank you for watching. I purchased the containers at the Container Store online. Here is the link:www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10007345&N=&Ntt=space+saver+pitchers
Very impressive. I think I need to declutter my fridge! I have bins with pints and 1/2 pints of nuts, olives, dressings, dips, condiments, jams, etc. Have you always been so streamlined/minimal? I love variety but maybe I have too much of a good thing going. I live on salads so would need to triple your set up there...but with the right fridge containers I think I can do this set up even in my apartment fridge...Thanks for the creative ideas. Always neat to see someone else's take on how to do things.
+CMS Sultana Thank you very much for your comments and yes ma'am, always been a minimalist. Not to the extreme but, close enough. This can work in a smaller fridge for an apartment just as well. I've lived overseas for several years and their fridge are extremely shallow and narrow and I applied a similar set-up. Thanks again for watching
Hello Silvia, thank you and Welcome. The fruit keeps for a week, maybe more depending on the fruit. Salads keeps the longest about a week and a half. Tfw, Bre
+Bre's Project Book I loooooove this video! Your refrigerator is so beautiful, spacious and the organizational ideas are on point. Thanks so much for sharing your space with us. :-)
+nzinga zindua Thank you. I purchased the juice containers at the Container Store and the condiment bottles at Amazon. I have no clue how I missed this! Your fridge is gorgeous Bre! I agree with Keri those mesh bins is such a fantastic idea. I'm going to try this. Although the boys in my house don't read anything lol.... Kisses :) Great job my friend.
Denise, you are too funny! The good thing about the bins are there is no set rule that you must eat what's in the designated bins on that day. My husband loves the choices.
+IchNaturally Hello IchNaturally. Sorry about that, If you look in the description you'll find a small list where I purchased the containers. Thanks for watching.
Hello Michele, I found those baskets at Bed, Bath and Beyond during college week three years ago. Since then, I still use them for my weekly meals. Thanks for watching.
The milk and juice jars were purchased at the Container Store. You can find it in the link below. www.containerstore.com/s/glass-refrigerator-pitchers/d?q=space%20saver%20pitchers&productId=10007345
alovinglifewith7 Hello alovinglifewith7, I purchased my bins at Bed, Bath and Beyond. You can also get them at Target and Amazon. Happy Organizing, Bre.
Hi Bre, shared this video over at Bea Johnson's forum for zero waste (here's my comment: Here is the YTer that I thought of when Trish mentioned organization by meal...she has a higher end refrigerator compared to what I have to work with but this is probably doable by most. Her pantry has similar streamlined organization with corresponding bin for each meal so cooking would be a breeze. She isn't ZW but this is a starting point for folks working their way to an organized, ZW and minimalist kitchen, imho.) I am still working my way towards an efficient, functional, ZW fridge (yay, no food waste!) and have begun to incorporate your zones concept (why wasn't that covered in our home ec classes, I will never know). Thanks!
You are a blast! Love it! Thank you soo much for sharing and visiting my channel. I consider myself some what of a minimalist. Love to work my way toward that lifestyle in the future. Thank you again. Must visit Bea Johnson's forum soon. Smooches!
Girl, I lucked up on those bins at Bed, Bath, & Beyond around the time they were stocking the college seasonal items. It was only three left. You can find them online at (www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/mesh-bins?ta=typeahead). The cost range was $7.99 - 12.99 and they are metal. They are the perfect fit. Thanks for watching. Bre
Great ideas Bre! I love cooking with fresh herbs, but never considered chopping and storing them the way you do in little jars. How long do they stay fresh in the jars?
That's great! I'm glad some of the tips were helpful. I purchased the glass beverage pitchers from the Container Store. Here is the link; www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/refrigeratorFreezer?productId=10007345. They were $7.99 and 9.99. A very good price and product. Keeps my milk and juice fresh.
Here is a tip. Each time I cook a meal, I cook enough to freeze. My freezer always have at the least nine frozen dinners for those times I just don't feel like cooking or I am unable to cook due to commitments. Thank you for watching and for your question.
+Agr8fullife Welcome aboard Agr8fullife and thanks for watching. The binz with lids came from Bed Bath and Beyond, www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/cabinet-binz-with-lids?ta=typeahead. Hope this helps and thanks for commenting.
+swaggalicious3609 Hello and thanks for watching. Here is the recipe; 1cup ammonia; 1/2cup vinegar; 1/4cup baking soda. Mix with hot water and put in a spray bottle. That's it, very simple. Good Luck!
+Donna Robinson Hello Donna and welcome to my channel. I can't remember where I purchased the glass containers. Try Walmart, Target or Dollar Tree. That's where I normally shop for items like that. Good Luck and thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any luck and I will look around in my neighborhood. Maybe something will jog my memory. Take care.
QY L Hello QY L. I purchased my containers at several places. Amazon, Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond. They are the binz cabinet and refrigerator storage. Here is a link where you can purchase online: www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/fridge-binz?mcid=PS_bing_nonbrand_storage_&creative=4110455262&device=c&matchtype=b. Thanks for watching. Bre
Any suggestions? Lady, please. That would be like telling The Pope how to pray. Your videos are sensational! I have added you to my Master List of ladies to watch: Veri Keri, At Home With Nikki, Be My Guest With Denise, Living Luxuriously For Less, and Juani's House. +Shawntele Lewis I purchased the containers from the container store. You can find them here; www.containerstore.com/s/glass-refrigerator-pitchers/d?productId=10007345&q=glass%20pitchers
Bre, Did you purchase those containers you put your food in or was they all parts of the frige??? If you purchases them where? ? I am planning on organizing the refrigerator asap...lol...& Love the Video!!!
+swaggalicious3609 Thanks for watching. The plastic containers and glass pitchers prices are listed in the description box above. I found them at the container store and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
+Norma Corella Yumol (Brown Eyes) Hello and thank you for watching. The acrylic bins can be purchased from Target, Amazon, Bed, Bath and Beyond and finally the Container Store. The metal bins were purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond during the Back to School sale last year.
+Evelyn Swille Thanks for watching. Everything you see in the fridge that is perishable is consumed in a two-week period according to my meal plans. So, any fruits and salads you see in the mason jars are consumed in the first week of the meal planning, If that makes sense. This ensure my fruits and vegetables are at it's peak when I serve it to my family and most importantly, I don't worry about the fruits or salads going bad. This cuts down on food waste and expiration. I hopes this helps, take care.
I hate my fridge, it's like playing Jinga, mainly because of the design of the fridge. I put my husband food on one shelf, I hate having him ask me where is ? I do the same for my kid, I use masking take to put my kids names, so my husband knows what he will eat for the day. This has help a lot. I use masking tape on the containers every food I cook. It has Monday or Tuesday etc. so everyone knows how old the food is. I hate been bothered. Fridge look great, now that's the style of fridge I want.
This sounds like it's working for you. These new refrigerators are small. For some reason it's believe these small compartments here and there with flip shelving was a good idea. I guess it has it's uses but, I prefer the old refrigerator configuration. I have an older style in my multi-purpose room for entertaining and I prefer it over this one. Thanks for watching.
Hi...great organizing & love the glass milk & juice bottles! BUT one thing I noticed & I also verified this recently...why do u eat margarine instead of REAL butter which is actually much better for your health? U have all these other healthy foods; then u see the margarine....believe it or not, but margarine is actually no better than eating plastic! It's also just a step away from being actual plastic...the ingredients...please check this out yourself...I would post link here; but this was a random video & I don't have the link handy...it's true; really!
Fabulous! Fridge looks great!
Thank you Nikki. That means a lot coming from you. Bre
Wow, you really inspired me, Bre. Sitting here in my kitchen getting ready to go to bed, (cup of tea). I thought, o.k., ....I need to put those eggs in the bin I purchased for them, a week ago. Hi Bre, shared this video over at Bea Johnson's forum for zero waste (here's my comment: Here is the YTer that I thought of when Trish mentioned organization by meal...she has a higher end refrigerator compared to what I have to work with but this is probably doable by most.
