Trecho do DVD The Best of Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band So Far... Norwegian Wood - Interpretada por Peter Frampton. Compositor original - The Beatles.
I met this wonderful musician at a trade show in LA and he is incredibly humble and approachable. THis is a real cool version of this tune and I am glad I found it. If you ever get a chance to meet Peter in a non-threatening way (no groupie) you will be amazed at how easy he is to be around and non assuming. He was hanging with Ted Nugent who has all the same qualities. Both are great people and much more "normal" than you would imagine, considering their success. Don't hate, appreciate!
I agree. I met him and at first had no idea who he was so I asked him what his role was and he said 'the guitar player'. I was a bit star-struck after I worked out who he was but as you say he is an incredibly nice man, a true gentleman and completely humble.
Have you ever seen sgt peppers lonely hearts club? It's him and the beegees and he does a bad ass cover of the long and winding road and it was when they all had hair! Haha
Love the song. Thankfully, it is played by an icon... I love playing it myself. Obe of my favorites. And yes, the li, li li lie stuff is a bit out, but hey!. it is his style!
Nice but slowed down cool! We used open tuning on my 12 string and capo 1 for Eb out of standard D chord for verses. Beatles I believe was capo 2 for E. Only difference is on chorus--Dm to G, Dm to Em7 to an A. Can be found at Norwegian Wood cover by ERB at Bishop Hill. Great song no matter how it's done!
Like Todd Rundgren, Peter Frampton is one of the greatest musicians alive today. A great songwriter and an ever greater guitar player. I'm so glad he got past his pretty-boy image to show just how talented he really is.
+JBBROWN: Rundgren is a fukkng genius. "We're An American Band," Grand Funk? Yeah, that's Rundgren. Anything Meat Loaf? Yeah, Rundgren played guitar on all of his songs. All of them. Patti Smith? Psychedelic Furs? XTC's "Dear God" -- yeah, him again. The guy cut an album in 1985 -- A Cappella -- with no instruments, only synthesized vocals. His 1993 "No World Order" CD allows the listener to fade in and out whatever vocals, or instruments they want to adapt the song as their own. His "Faithful" album has the best cover versions ever of "Good Vibrations," "Rain" and "If Six Was Nine." He can play more than 20 instruments and was the first musician to put more than 50 minutes of music onto a single album. In 1973, he put a self-addressed stamped postcard in first issues of his A Wizard A True Star album. His next Album, Todd, featured a wall-sized poster of the cover, made out entirely of the 10,000 names that came back on the postcards. His single "Time Heals" was the 8th video ever played on MTV on its first day of broadcast, Aug. 1, 1981, and was the only animated video shown on the network's first day. The Metropole concert is amazing. As is Rundgren.
+austin teutsch You must be young cause time will take everyone's pretty boy or girl image away and take away your hair and give you wrinkles ! After the Beatles the Gibb Brothers are the most successful song writers in British popular music !
whenever i see peter frampton it reminds me of that groovy novel written by Mark Shipper titled "Paperback Writer". Read it (Grossett and Duynlap Inc 1978 USA - NEL paperback edition septrember 1978 UK) it's a novel about a Beatles reunion that took place in 1978 .... hilarious and moving ... to tears, for a true beatlefan
"Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style. Peace, Vinnie Zummo, former Joe Jackson guitarist
I was at that concert at Pine Knob, Clarkson, Michigan with Ringo and his All Starr Band. Great concert.

Todd Rundgren, really?
JBBROWN yes. watch the 2012 metropole amsterdam concert. see him live. count the work he's done and produced and those he's spurred and inspired.

FRAMPTON, ótima interpretação de um ícone da musica mundial
Humility
Norwegian Wood, played by an actual good artist.
you not know? uneducated! He is one of the best guitarists ever and he has the record of the live album with more copies, "FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE!
The captions are in Portuguese! Interesting how it’s so similar to Spanish yet so different.
Covering the Beatles is usually a bad idea but Frampton pulls it off--No sitar though and that's what makes the song in the 1st place.
12 stings gives a similar sound not quite as profound
I like how he could make his guitar sound like a sitar.
🎧🎧🎧
Yeah, even in a bad mood - Mr. Frampton brings me up - phantastisches Stückchen und er bringts eher wie ein Schuljunge rüber - yeah, lustig -

Uh, you mean "The Face of the Seventies'" don't you?

Who else was there, why didn't someone do harmony vocals with him?
@bravesman1983 I'll have you know that I'm not an idiot.
We're all used to hearing the original version, however I could have done without all the lie lie lie's.....
It's like you are reading my mind.
Yup, it was a nice cover but all the lies were offputting
yes he could have done some guitar picking instead
Fuck, Frampton, you are still good. Try to see it my way, humtidum. Or show me the way.
@sohappysinger for 61 he sings fine he's on key not like Jagger who sings flat almost all the time..
