@@postietv7438 yeah its a bit of a contorsion when uprating the engine. You could cut a soft drink bottle and make a filter shroud to keep most of the solids and liquids out of direct contact in the meantime...I Think the honda cubs had a front mount airbox but no idea if the fit to CT frames...
Im building one the same where did you mount the oil cooler? I think im going for a custom intake to get my carb facing backwards Tricky tho 32mm im using is tight

all good up untill the airfilter is almost brushing the front tyre caked in sand.
The plan is to turn carby around facing the rear and fit oil cooler at the front help protect air filter
