Thanks for the great video. Ive recently done this with my 1999 CT110 and the headlight works a treat. Would you have any ideas on why my indicators stopped working. Been trying to work it out for a few hours now and cant seem to find anything obvious
The easiest way to get DC for your light, is to run a wire from the black wire at the turn signal relay up to the yellow wire to the turn switch. You get 12v regulated dc when you turn on the ignition switch.
How would you wire this to the existing headlight? I've changed to an led globe with 12v model and its flickers. Looking to connect the existing headlight wires to regulated dc
G’day, I’m looking at doing this to my bike and all the lights I’ve found, including one that looks identical to the one installed in the video, all say they are 60W, given that the stock bulb is 35W will this be an issue?
@@postietv7438 yeh perfect mate! cheers. so you still got the 3 wiring earth/low/high that goes to the light/plug plus the power for parker and the earth?
Nice work. Will be trying this one out on mine. I live in an area with heaps of Roos and I can’t ride at night cos I just can’t see anything with the stock light
@@SeriousSchitt 12v. Made a huge difference at night. Feel somewhat safe on it now. Only issue I had was the high and low beam wires were coloured wrong and I soldered it all up and put it back together before testing. Haven’t bothered fixing that cos I don’t use it much at night anyway.
Hey mate! Trying to fit my new light to the existing mount - yours seemed to drop in nicely, but mine doesn’t quite fit right.. is there a trick? Did yours sit nice and flush in the old mount?
Hey awesome video, I had a look and couldn't find your old video of doing this on a 6v bike is there much difference with the install being a light intended to be used with 12v. Thanks keep up the good work.

does this work with the 6v one??
@@Carter_gear yeah it does

You can also tap into the black wire going to the horn switch. Get some blue Terminals Code KTSL2S form SuperCheap. All too easy.

Do you have a video of that upgrade on an NBC110?
No sorry
Thanks for the video just upgraded mine in 1/2 an hour, and works great.

Hey mate that’s not a issue being LED it runs a wider range of voltage I’m running one on a 6v bike without issue 👍
whats the go to make this work with a 6v setup?
It will work with 6v wires are slightly different because 6v have park lights but led headlight will run with low voltage

G’day mate, reckon this’ll link up to a 1999 ct110c
Yeah should work

Just wired mine the same and bought the one you linked but the high and low beam are wrong

My bike’s 6 volt. I haven’t bought one yet but looking for feedback.

Hi mate can this be done on c90 12v?
Yes should be fine LED has a wider range in voltage
@@postietv7438 thank you mate im thinking to try it hopefully is not going ti mess with my lighting or electrics, the bike is 12v stoke 90cc 1999
Love ya work , always look forward to your posts 📫
Keep up the good work
Repost the 6v vid. Can't find it
Hey mate what did you do about the light being DC and current setup running on Ac?
I didn’t change anything mate light will flicker at idle but haven’t had any issues
On my 1980 Honda XR 500A, I put in a 6v rectifier, when I ran my LED tail light.
Can this be done on as 6 volt ?
Yeah it can be done wiring is a little different
Will the 6v run it since it’s a 10-30v rated light?
Anyone work out how to wire the halo up or is it just a fake one ?
Awesome work mate, just a thought, could you add the remaining wires for the halo ring into the feed for the low beam?
$200 was the cheapest led light i could find. should i just replace the bulb or $16 then just buy an led light bar and mount it for cheaper ?
Could I have the light sideways? Or would low and high beam be out of direction
Yeah think hi lo would be out
@@postietv7438 yeah, ah well looks good either way. Still better than the original, sick of the bulbs that blow every month
@@danshady09 yeah think holding a candle in the wind would be better than the original 😂
@@postietv7438 definitely haha
I had same issue. Reverse blue and white wires to fix high / low beam issue.
Is this a 5.75” light or the 7” ? I have a 2000 model
It’s the 5.75 should be a link further down in comments
@@postietv7438 I just saw it 🤦🏼♂️ thanks so much mate!!
Hey mate, I hooked this same light up to my 6v 110, keeps blowing the tail light with this connected any idea as to why that would be?

Link please. When you do things like that , tie a piece of string to it in case it will fly away. Is it running on AC or DC.
they are DC.
