If wrestlers had unionized, I imagine 80% of those we lost too young would be alive right now. First off because their finances and medical expenses would be taken care of. They’d all have pensions, wouldn’t have to drive on their own dime to do 300 shows a year. Wouldn’t have to turn to medicating themselves to stay awake and work through the pain. The audience would still be there because where there is demand, there is an audience.
He tried to union the wrestlers as well and they wouldn't listen and follow, and because of Jessie doing what he did for himself Vince blocked that but someone else sued him and won rights for royalties as well. Graham Bensinger has been a fantastic interviewer for several years. Even back when he was15 or 16 doing local radio, he was better than a lot of guys who had 20 years experience.

I think this guy is underrated. He's an intelligent, hardworking man with plenty of experiences. And also he always discuss substantial matters and not just come up with conspiracy theories, even though his show was called "conspiracy theories"

If wrestlers had unionized, I imagine 80% of those we lost too young would be alive right now. First off because their finances and medical expenses would be taken care of. They’d all have pensions, wouldn’t have to drive on their own dime to do 300 shows a year. Wouldn’t have to turn to medicating themselves to stay awake and work through the pain. The audience would still be there because where there is demand, there is an audience.

He tried to union the wrestlers as well and they wouldn't listen and follow, and because of Jessie doing what he did for himself Vince blocked that but someone else sued him and won rights for royalties as well. And I think they all will do it

@@GrahamCStrouse Andre made the WWF a big deal, it took a lot of begging on the part of Vince to get Andre to accept that fight, so that the show could get an American hero. Andre should have been paid more than Hogan, but he felt loyal to the show so he said yes. Andre was a professional, Vince a hustler. But it's like so much out there, getting people to think that 20th century shows were built on honest market principles. They weren't. Today a guy like Andre would tell Vince to go eff himself, unless like when Dana White coughed up huge money to McGregor, paying him right, Vince nice and cornered paid up. Before Andre the show (a backcountry spectacle) had fifty Hogans.

I hate it when my childhood heroes hate each other. Wish they were all good buddies. But that's not how life works. I can relate as I have experienced bad relationships and toxic friendships myself. Ventura is so articulate and such a pleasure to listen to.
You have to understand that it is work and a business. No different than when you go to work somewhere. You got to work for Walmart or the Post office or McDonlads or wherever... Its ppl there from all walks of life and chances are, most likely... You are not going to be best friends with them. Because its all about making money and making ends meet. That is the adult world.
