Sadly the crossover gets crap from both fandoms. I agree that I wish it was more fleshed out and had a longer story to really accommodate both series, but it's still an amazing and under appreciated game
Fun fact UF was so good, I didn't know LS was even a thing till I walked into a gamestop and saw it on the shelf (bought it that day too lol). The ending was just that perfect for me to not even check in to see if there was any new Layton news.
Unwound future and miracle mask are the pinnacle of the series. They both try and extremely different approach from the rest of the series and it works really well.

I agree that the OST of the first four games is excellent, I really like at least the first four Layton games, to rather an irrational extent. The other two are also fairly good but not as great. Anyway I was only helping, I still understood it.

I just got an electric flyswatter, and as if the fact that it straight up electrocutes the flies doesn't make it fun enough, I've been swinging it at the flies in my kitchen to Diabolical Box's main theme and I'm smiling like an idiot doing it
I can be late, yes, but today, I started for the first time Unwound Future, after the 6 years old me completed the first two games of the saga exactly 10 years ago, his favorite of the two was the Diabolical Box, now it’s time that child will find inner piece for the final game of the original trilogy
The prequels all have this mystical motif to them because they all relate to the azran. Its super cool attention to detail, but hey thats professor layton music for ya
@@aheghaugheggeyahg I'll have to listen back again but I'm not sure if its necessary miracle masks motif because last specter came before MM but still uses a similar motif. The more prominent the azran are in the game, the more you will hear a more fantasy-esque melody (symbolizing the azran). But thats just my take on it :)

Miracle Mask you are supposed to know who the villain is, and you don’t want it to be true, as yo I don’t want to believe someone so good would fake murder hundreds of people. AL and MM have excellent plots though. Last Specter is definetly the least good game in the series, but still not bad.
The stairs broke. Layton and Flora were on the upper section while Luke was on the lower section, and the divide was too big to safely jump, so he had to let Luke escape on his own while he figured something out.
My main memories of these songs is that they play when you’re at the main menu of each game and they were used in the Japanese trailers for the games which ofc got released before the North America trailers so I have fond memories of hearing these songs as like my first taste of each game watching those JAP trailers
The Diabolical Box theme isn't really used in the game all too much - the only time (that I remember) that you can hear it fully is in the scene where Layton and Anton are swordfighting at the end of the game.
