CRIKEY remind NEVER EVER go out into a Farmers Paddock for a Piss. Especially when your out and about 🤣🤣🤣 keep those videos coming they are FLOCKING BRILLIANT 👍👍
Foxes are an introduced pest in Australia and cause irrecoverable damage to our native wildlife, nit to mention livestock such as poultry, lambs and goats
Rod, Mate, what a great way to start a sunny Sunday here in Sydney! A new RJM video! The new client must have been happy to see a nice pile of redcoats the next morning. Cheers, PS, that Spag Bol looked yum too.
Man, these videos go too quick! That overall setup you have is pretty slick. Seems like you've taken all the resistance out of the process and can focus on dispatching your targets... and enjoying spaghetti. 😁 Really nice.
As always 👍🏼 And RJM is one of the few hunting, I call it pest control channels I don't get in trouble for watching if I forget to clear watched video history.
-3 C. Man, I wish we had -3 right now. 36 C and humid like a jungle. Ug. Can't wait for autumn. Nice work on those foxes, wonder how many lambs that will save.
America? Would that be North, Central or South America? Just playing with you! I would assume you mean the America which is full of Mericans? The US of Merica. Cheers from Oz,
I've got a Casio Mudmaster watch with a thermometer in it. I got home at 7 the other morning and the water in the cat's bowl was frozen solid, which is saying something because it's a big stainless kitchen mixing bowl and it was nearly full - so about 4 litres was in it. I hang the watch on the line, go have a shower and come out at 8am and it's -6.7 on the watch. Not bad. The shower head was frozen solid too - I had to take it off, boil the kettle and warm it up before I could wash the stench of death off me before going to bed. That was in central Vic in the Castlemaine area. last time we had so many frosts like this was 2018 and drought followed. Dunno if that's a predictor this time though.
Great shooting Rod. That is some seriously good bit of kit you have. Sure beats the old 17 and shotgun I had in my day out on the Nullarbor. Keep it up cobber definitely making a difference.
Im still night vision scope but thermal spotter. I didn't want to shoot a blob but with a bit of experience they certainly stand out in a lambing paddock. Have got 40 now over 300 ewes all on foot. I have said it before but I have learnt a lot from your videos. I wonder if you could shoot as well if they were your lambs. My heart rate gets up still if I have a known kiler come back for the rest or seconds.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia bet the one that was lame ( looked like a little vixen in the video) was one causing most trouble, it's usually the case here. Mind you it had plenty of back up.!! Was chasing a cub the other night here, took 45 mins to get it close enough for a clear shot, (deep grass) wasn't paying attention to any calls so just a waiting game. Keep up the good work mate🦊, bet the farmer was over the moon👍
Same happens here mate. Seems to be the foxes that aren't 100% that cause most of the issues. Mange, injury, illness or old age and they hammer the livestock. Weird but I've seen it time and time again
@@RJMHuntingAustralia yes, same thing happens here. If they're not 100% fit, they go for the easiest feed they can. I've been a gamekeeper for nearly 40yrs and i've seen it many times too..!!
Love what you do man, as someone who has worked outdoor lambing I can say I am happy to see these foxes go. Just wondering why the moon is a problem for your hunts? does it mess with the lighting on your camera or does it mess with the foxes? Keep it up 💪
Hey Rod, short and sweet with everything covered. Great stuff. Mate can I ask you - do you use rechargeable batteries in the HIKMICRO or a power bank? And were you using the silva fox whistle? I'm living on farm now and foxes are very brazen here too.
I run a power bank to whatever device is on the roof. Rechargeable 18650's that come with the devices for the scope stuff. With reference to the whistles, a combination of squeakers, silva fox and T2 mate
Foxes are intelligent. One time at work we saw a fox on the road while we were on the lunch 20m away from us. We were shocked how bold the fox was. Meanwhile the electricity went out so we had to use a petrol generator and while the generator was working the fox went behind the house and ki11ed all the chickens. Later that day landlady came to feed the chickens and saw the carnage. We had no idea what happened. Smart animals the foxes are.
Great job Rod. Love your videos mate. What brand of waterproof boots do you run? I saw you give em a plug but can’t find the vid now. Keep up the great work mate
Thanks Damian. Bogs boots mate, pretty sure they are the Bozeman Mid. Light, warm, waterproof and super comfortable. They don't like barbed wire though 🤣
I've got no idea about guns, but love your Thermal footage. Looking at getting a couple of scopes but absolutely love that ThermTec Wild 650L on top of the SpyDabot Venom remote control roof mount would work wonders for my Thylacine / Thylacoleo searching here in Victoria. I'll do some research into it. However, what scope gives the best definition and battery life in your opinion (For under $15k) - I was looking at the ATN THOR 5XD 2-20X which I could leave running all night in area I think Thylas live. Your thoughts mate would be welcomed.
I had nothing but issues with the ATN gear. With reference to the best image available on a scope right this moment. Be hard to go past the Infiray TS60 with its 1280 sensor.

Another great video RJM.
Glad you enjoyed it mate 👊
I'm kind of wondering but at the same time I'm coward ing I could never do this I'm sure there was a great reason for what you are doing

You say foxes are intelligent but they aren’t so much that they respond to oi & good day! Lol
I reckon they would respond to almost any foreign noise made in the dark Dave.
It doesn't mean they're stupid
