@@RJMHuntingAustralia interesting thanks for your reply. I’ve never tried to reload for Sub sonic velocities. It’s a great solution for the night shooting
Great shooting! I'm convinced 308 is the most effective easily obtainable caliber for wild hogs. Those hits with 223 were insane. Our eradicators are having to hit 3 and 4 times with smaller calibers to bring down bigger hogs. That was impressive.
Nothing wrong with bigger calibers for hogs. The combination of very dense musculature, heavy bones and thick hides make big pigs a tough animal. Combine that with being just plain mean bastards, a bit more than .223 makes a lot of sense. Texas hog hunters have really taken a liking to 6.8 SPC. It still fits in AR15 rifles and offers a serious step up in terminal performance. Hard to argure with the .308 though. Does just about everything really well.
@@DriveCarToBar 6.8SPC is awesome!! Many of the guys I know use 7.62x39 because you still have 30 cal and the ammo is/was the most affordable. Only downside: it lacks the effective range of 5.56, 6.8SPC and 308.

Running a HikMicro Panther PQ50L which is actually a scope with LRF. We just turn the reticle off. Works a treat 👌
Sweet. Do you recommend a particular mounting system/bracket to attach it to the roof?
I run a SpydaBot VENOM now mate. It's a remote controlled gimbal with magnetic mount.
