    I'm 70 in a few days. These kettlebell moves are really helping me recover function and training my core for backpacking.

    I am a 67 year old woman, who had a health scare about a year and a half ago. Shortly after that I joined a gym and have lost 90 lbs. While I have improved my body composition significantly doing cardio and using weight machines. But I have recently gotten a little bored with my routine.
    There is a row of kettlebells sitting in my gym, so your videos have inspired me to try something new. I can tell that it uses functional movements and uses multiple muscle groups at once. With your instructions, it is less intimidating than using a barbell and uses 0:37 different muscle.
    Thank you for your help.

    There's now a constant force projection of Mark following me around saying, "stand all the way up." - Great video!

    I've avoided free weights for years after back, shoulder and knee injuries yet I have been able to swing kettlebells without a problem. Following your advice I'm making great progress. Well done!

      Don't be disappointed; it took me 50 years to start KB training.

      Mark is the GOAT -- simple as that. He's the only trainer I know of who explains things so clearly and has programs for everyone from the seriously deconditioned to people who are already very fit.

    This is a great movement that doesn't need a lot of weight. I add the clean to each rep to be part of a flow clean-press-circle-press-clean repeat

    TOI Question - Is the club track an addition to the base track or an alternative ? Asking since the club track has videos for all 5 days of the week. Or are the kb + club days considered part of the base track and the club only days are added on ?

    • @MarkWildman
      @MarkWildman  Місяць тому +1

      It is designed with a series of optional things. Usually people start the bass track the dumbbell kettlebell track first because it is the easiest to acquire equipment for after they have run that a few times then they may invest in a club to start running the club and then the bass track and the club track are too alternate in order to get the best resolved in the least amount amount of time.
      Every program is designed with equipment, considerations in mind easiest to slightly more difficult to get a hold of

    Hello man, i know my question is not related to this video. But do you have a strenght routine that is kettlebell based for swimmers? I need to swim 800m under 14min in 3 months and my time is 16min for now. I feel like traditional strenght training is not suitable for me. That is why i am slowly transitioning into kettlebell training.

      If you aren’t a kettlebell guy. Running a 20 min version of the swing program would definitely be the place to start
      20 min version of the swing program. Twice a week
      And deck squats. Twice a week.

    Is it possible to use a kettlebell like a dumbbell, targeting biceps, triceps, chest etc?
    If yes, can you make a tutorial dedicated to that? Thanks!

      Kettlebell training is different, most kettlebell exercises are designed to be full body exercise. As a result you are training biceps, triceps, core,legs ect all at the same time. The training style is unique to KBells. Try it, you won't be disappointed with the results you see.

      @@philipmarshall6662 I've been doing kettlebell swings, halo, pullover (also a bit of turkish getups and lunges) for few months.
      I'm trying to do the kettlebell clean and press (I think it engages the upper arm and shoulder), but during the Snatch part my kettlebell hits my wrist causing pain. I think as Mr. Wildman said "If the weight touches your kettlebell, get a new one".
      So till I get a new one, I was thinking about some different exercises for my arm and shoulder. But I do have my faith in the regular kettlebell excersizes (helped me stand straight, keeping the shield on for longer and better breathing and endurance).

      The best bicep curl I've ever done is with kettlebells. Look up kettlebell horn curl.

      There's a video on incline 'bench' ( bale of hay ) using kettlebells for chest, for ideas on kb horizontal pressing.
      Not what you asked but heavy double kettlebell clean & press work would look after the guns !

    • @MarkWildman
      @MarkWildman  Місяць тому +1

      You certainly can use kettle bells like dumbbells, but the same way that dumbbells are less effective than kettle bells for endurance weightlifting kettlebell seem to be minorly less effective when used as dumbbells. If you really wanted to create some type of bodybuilding strategy, then you would focus on your heavy kettle bell clean press and your heavy club single alarm program, that would be tons of arms, tons of abs and overall general Herc and physique if you wanted to add something on top of that, then you could add a classic Arnold curl with standing preacher support and to get really peaky but kettle bells don’t do that rotation at the top of the peak very well at all
      Single line biceps I’ve ever seen the amount of volume in the load is incredible so for armed development, single arm heavy club is paralleled
      One exercise the classic curls for the girls preacher with dumbbell doesn’t even need to be heavy at that point because your arms are already pre-exhausted
