Just a quick note to say thank you. You actually replied to an earlier comment I left on another video and your encouragement was inspiring. I'm the guy who had lost 400 pounds; I've lost 20 more since that earlier post. I'm also much stronger thanks to your videos and my (usually incompetent) attempts to ape their content. I'm still an old, weak, fat man...but that's changing for the better. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I’m and 81 year old woman and I’ve been training with kettlebells for almost 20 years now. I’m still training 3 x weekly, and wont stop doing so. I’m definitely not superwoman, but just following the discipline and even if it’s just swinging a 10kg bell 100 times there is a sense of achievement and knowing that I am doing the best for myself as I age. Mark Wildman is my preferred “guru” (for want of a better word) as his is a no nonsense explanation and practice. Congratulations for achieving the weight loss you have and maintaining this lifestyle. Greetings from Australia.🇦🇺

I discovered your channel during the COVID crisis. I recently completed a 40', 10 signle-hand swings EMOM (hand change at each minute) with a 28kg KB. Some days later I did 20', 10 cleans EMOM with the same bell. I weigh just over 75kg. Before discovering your channel I'd consider this kind of accomplishment superhuman. Not anymore, despite knee surgery which set me back for 6 months or so (the accident has nothing to do with my KB training). Thanks to you, sir.

Ever since your Jack Black videos, I have half jokingly to thought of you as an avatar for Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda, and now when you give out such good info, I am even imagining you with Dustin Hoffman’s voice. Intelligent thoughtful instruction is so entertaining and useful. When are you gonna collab again with Gambatte? I would love you guys to coauthor a program.

I was in year three, rounding out the 24 kg kettlebell volume cycles, and just popped my elbow at BJJ. Looks like it’s time to roll back to the recovery/rehab videos. I really appreciate that MW’s system covers the whole spectrum of rehab/TOI through athletic training.

About 14 years ago I got into KB's and got into amazing shape doing a 24 min workout 3X/week. No one including myself believed I could stay so slim and fit only working out under 30 min, 3X/week. I've gotten way out of shape since then and instead of losing 25 pounds that I did back then, I now have to lose about 50. But with just that 24 min workout a few times/week I know I will get there again. Also diet. Yeah. KB's are THE BEST workout I've ever done AND they are fun. Gonna take a min to build back up to that level of fitness, but I'll get there. Thanks Mark. 😊

After various types barbell, dumbbell, and machine lifting for decades, I began kettlebells some months ago. I have 16, 24, and 32 kg kettlebells. Aside from farmer's walks, this is all I am doing. I am learning the basics and when I achieve some competency with those, I will move on. I am doing almost exclusively one arm/one kettlebell movements. Maybe next year I will move on to more advanced movements, but I am taking the long term view and I believe it is necessary to learn the basics. Your words on a multi-year approach have been taken to heart and could not be more correct.

Thanks, Mark. Appreciate the standards. I am still largely swinging, squatting, and doing split squats. I find no other KB move naturally activates the glutes like the swing. Looking forward to commencing to other parts of the journey. Thanks for the standards. I will probably hit Pavel’s Simple and Sinister before doing long cycle.

After a year of sciatica following a L5 disc bulge (previous club and kb fairly regular practice), I'm really enjoying your basic program for deconditioned and overweight!
I'm 57, 3.5 years cancer free (tongue/tonsil) and start week 4 tomorrow (1st time round).
Love the slow buildup to the Indian Clubs as I've often been guilty of rushing trying to learn with a loss of form...
Plan is to do month 2 going from kb and single arm club to kb and double arm club (2kg increase in weight for both).
My thinking is for either Month 3 and or 4 - to change out with the Club Integration track. Any thoughts appreciated!
Plan to move on to your kb essentials (program 2) at start of month 5, as i purchased a $99 subscription for this deconditioned program.
But.... if i need to stay here a bit longer, i'm cool with that.
    Thank you Mark!

Question though, when would it be appropriate to introduce a 5 lb mace bell?
and what could i do on rest days to feel as good as i do during the week doing TOI

Hey Mark, appreciate the content. Would you say it's okay to get started with kettlebells after bilateral inguinal hernia surgery (laproscopic mesh)? I am now 2 months post surgery and am feeling good but have been cautioned by doctors that I shouldn't be doing much exercise, other than walking etc for quite a while after surgery.
Also are your adjustable kettlebells available for purchase internationally (New Zealand), could only see availability in the US and Canada?
    Cheers, Paul

    • @MarkWildman
      @MarkWildman  10 днів тому

An adjustable kb makes this possible. The Wildman bell with its half kg jumps makes this very possible.
The plastic bottom half from adjustable starts the kettle bell at AK, but this allows you to work with injuries such as yours so that you’re not starting to heavy so that you do not re-injure yourself. This is something that is possible, but it does require you to get the proper year to do it but once you have the proper year, then this is something that you can solve.
