Im a senior and have had a clothesline forever. My Mom also, she had a clothesline only. Never owned a dryer. I think a clothesline is the most calming thing i own.

If I could hang clothes outside to dry I would. But where I live I can not. My clothes would get dirty again. My back yard is nothing but dirt. I rent so I cant change anything about the back yard. When we live back in PA I would hang my clothes out to dry.
