Put some moly slip gearbox treatment in the up with fresh oil, or some stp, I had a noisy box on a ka, only a cheapie, I put 2 stp, s in with fresh oil and it quietened it down, bit of a bodge but car was only a grand and customer was happy.
You are trustworthy, honest and fair , never lose those qualities. I had somebody come back to me recently after six months with a re con laptop, I stated batteries are not guaranteed on refurbes, turns out battery was issue! The client was very nice over it, I decided to supply a battery as a good will gesture, I guess you might be the same, would rather have a good reputation. Keep going.
Sort that miss fire out first bud on that A1, if it's that TSFI engine, oil burning, could be oiling a plug up, sort it before you chuck a load of dosh at the box, scan it, check coil pac on that cylinder, check plug for oil.
@ChopsGarage battery won't make any difference bud, just quickly scan it, swop coil pacs round and re scan, oil burning engines those bud, like that audi convertable the other day bud, rev the bolocks off it and smell for oil burning, probably is just the coil pac but best to check
If someone had been funny about a job I'd done like that water leak after mths I'd have been kicking off tbh, sort of thing customer should be sorting, picking it up, fuel in, lending him a car, bloody hell mate.

Jeez James you do a great quick turnaround for the customer and he thinks its too quick and not a proper job.No pleasing some people.I put Molislip gearbox additive in my Citigo gearbox and its quiet it down on cold start now so the gears aren,t all rattling around until warm.It comes in a small syringe you just squirt in with the oil.

It is very rare to find anyone who would pay more because of warranty jobs and bills often come in for $2,500. Auction cars are about a quarter of retail because of the unknown.
If a dealer claims they have done the work before selling, is it unreasonable to ask to see receipts for the work ? and how would you feel James if this was asked of you? I would personally like it for peace of mind, but i also think it shows a little distrust towards the dealer.
If it was something i couldnt see like a clutch or a cam belt i would def want receipts for peace of mind. Things that are visible i.e new tyre, exhaust etc not so mich as seeing is believing.
hyundai are known bad as polo to fail on chains same as seat aswell even if they got full service history friend at work had one that failed after 60k with history they sold it after getting replaced
Over how many simulated years should they test it for? The rubbers should last several years but how long can't be guaranteed as they can't truly test the parts longevity exposed to all sorts of environments and temperature over years of real use. That's why most parts only have a 5 or 7 year warranty. Their main concern should be testing the engine, gearbox and suspension components that would blow up or cause accidents... Oh wait obvs didn't work with EcoBoost testing 😅

It did not do it when I got it, think battery was just completely flat
