I once played this song from the bar juke box because that was the only Tool song on there. I didn't know what it was and everyone at the bar was very disturbed and wondered who played it. I did not confess to it.
😅😅🤣😅😅🤣
Why the fuck would this be in a jukebox? Hahaha. Someone has a sense of humor.
It’s so weird that of all of Tools work that this obscure piece would be the only one on there!
Lucky you found a good song in the jukebox
😅
I put this song on for my baby boy in his nursery crib right before bed time, he’s lucky to have such a great dad!
The real question is what happened during the night dad ❓

🤣 lmao awesome parenting
this is easily one of TOOL's songs
No doubt
Great observation Captain obvious! Thank you
What gave it away?
Are you sure? Hang on a moment, let's just check... Yes we've just got word from HQ, this is definitely Tool.
Best comment ever
I remember listening to this album on CD when I in bed and woke up still half asleep during this song...i forgot i still my my headphones in and started completely freaking out thinking I was trapped in a cave with a demon or something! Took me a while to realise what the hell was going on...still gives me goosebumps when I hear it
Creeped me out so much the first time. Not in bed but up alone at the computer in living room while parents and siblings already went to bed and I was dozing a bit and then this...
Oh my God, ME TOO. I thought I done went to hell or something lmao
I had a night terror once.
I was being pulled towards the event horizon of a singularity, I could hear it.. calling my damn name - singingly and knowingly, with soft whispers filled with familiarity from secrets unspoken... Between stories untold and journeys never taken... dreams...forgotten.
But I realized that this singularity was also syphoning my essence away (similar to the idea of traveling "Through the Veil" of our world and the "Fade"- D.A.Inquisition... or into the "Land of the Forgotten" from many indigenous cultures) it was pure intensity of resonance, extreme flux, and phasing of all existences.
It was fucking terrifying. Bodily, astrally, spiritually losing who and what I am as a being (of any kind...just having the beinging-ness at the core of my Self no longer responding to who I am ... My being, my conscious, sentient, singularity of self destroyed subatomically to restore itself... and of undefinable proportion with consciousness all it's own... my energy, my conscious self, my existence in all forms I've ever had or will ever have are all being ... ~syphoned out magnetically, ethereally, internally and externally...with a draining of spirit, soul, substance, existence, awaiting an eternity of alternate realities being ripped away, lifetimes upon lifetimes of memories and experiences are gone in an instant...further out and farther away ...drifting ever so closer to that immense accretion disc but it's isn't filled with dust, matter, heated plasma... It is all encompassing pure primal rage to the N-th°
It's filled with screams and howls of an ancient time lost and unheard of.
The fucked up part is, the deja Vu. While all this is happening, THIS track has all the exact sounds that I hear and feel...and it's still soothing and comforting!? Yet isn't.
Squirming volatile mass of the indescribable, yet experienced by the "chosen"...
When I awake, I wasn't even sure of who, what, or where I was! Disoriented and discombobulated to say the least. I liken the maniacal dream to an out-of-body experience, but in the worst way. It's never that hard to readjust to being back and awake after any messed up vivid experience during dreams, because eventually any terrifying events that take place (If and when they do) and sometimes trigger the slow amnesia effect (where even the memory itself fades unless recall is gained through regression) and then be able to go about one's day and life ... but not. this. time. Existence from time to time seems slightly off .
@@Xerion404 this happens everytime to me, I usually on listen to 10,000 Days when I'm up late so when this comes on I'm usually pretty out of it and start freaking out.
It just Dragons in thier lair .
i remember being 16 and heavily exploring the internet for what this song meant. so like from what i can gather (and this is the answer that made the most sense to me), the song is basically an audial representation of Maynard James Keenan’s mother being incepted into heaven. the voice heard in this song is evidently saying “assisco” (probably not spelling that right) which roughly translates to “enter” or “welcome” in Enochian (the angelic language), so apparently a it’s meant to be God welcoming his mother to the world beyond.
i’ve heard many many others theories about this track (and album in general), but this what always seemed to stick with me in memory years and years later
I mean the song's name is just "23", and the lyrics are apparently a nostradamus quote in latin. I wouldn't speculate too much deeper than that, or you might turn into who Maynard means by:
"Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind"
@@KyleDB150 except it wasn't me that came up with this conclusion but alright
I always took it as transcending into some Lovecraftian plan of existence and coming face to face with some Eldritch God.
doubt thats the case or at least that woul be pretty weird considering maynards views on christianity and religion

This track scared me at first .Wasn’t expecting how loud and weird it got towards the middle out of nowhere.
Lol. Very good haunted way to end this masterpiece of a album!!
I always thought it was Darth Vader from when he says "A sister", refering to Princess Leia.

I like how they put weird cryptic shit at the end of every album.

This is the only tool song available on the touch tunes jukebox at my local bar/grill. The wife played it as a joke one night. It was awkward.
I've listened to this a few times and toyed around with it a bit. I put it on top of Wings Part I. If you line up the endings, when Maynard says "to be worthy..." they match up perfectly. When he stresses the y in "worthy", it lines up with 2:35.
I think there is something hidden in this album
The entire song lines up, it’s called Voltron
Man either read a reddit post or just has too much time on his hands.
Or both. I won't judge. Very cool detail though.

This is it, and then Fear Inoculum 13 years later. It's just weird, this is like an interlude to Fear Inoculum.
I had what felt like a panic attack one night. I have never been the type to experience mental problems like that. It hit me out of nowhere. There came to me a vision of what I interpreted as evil and was calling me to it. Then a huge shaking voice of what I took at the time was God, basically just spoke to me and said I didn't have to fear anything. The voice left and all the animals and wind in the trees sounded just like this. To which they all fell silent...
I've always loved many tracks on this album. But never listened to this one maybe no more than once. I just found it a bunch of noises and a time filler. After further unexplainable sequences of unintelligible bits and pieces of information being sent to me. I stumbled back onto this track. And like I said. The things I felt and heard that night, were almost exactly like this track.
What an incredible album! A true masterpiece! Maynard’s vocals always clean. He’s magical. Danny Carey a beast on drums. The base is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. My two favorite tracks “The Pot” & “Rosetta Stoned”. I need to listen to “ Wings For Marie” & 10,000 Days again. When Maynard said his Mom’s name, I was close to tears. WOW ! What a moment.
I love everything on this 10,000 Days album! TOOL is deep. Never have I heard progressive music with so much emotion. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have listened to this song while standing in my bed with my back on the cold summer wall, water was purring down to my cup ,and then the audio drove me down ,at some point the piece got synchronized with the water drops and then I heard the voice... Wow

Wow I've never listened to this on headphones to experience the trippy "locations" the sounds were coming from. WOW!
[Latin:]
Una Infinitas

Viginti tres gradus ad summam potestatem

You can use this track with others to create a new song. Play "10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2)" which is 11:13 long on one player. Combine "Viginti Tres" and "Wings for Marie" clock in at 5:02 and 6:11 totaling 11:13 on another player. Run the 2 players at the same time to hear the secret song. The synced song has vocals from both songs that alternate to make new lyrics. 🎶 🎵 Wizardry!

I love this!! Maybe I'm the only one but I got seriously interested in outer space several years ago and I watched this video about the sound each planet in our solar system makes.... The sounds have to be enhanced obviously b/c they're octaves below what is audible to us but the crazy thing is I bought this album about the same time and I hear alotta similarities in this song from the sounds of the planets which in my opinion totally fits right in a TOOL song making it mind blowing as this band is specifically known for.
I had this song auto play through my car's speaker system that bled into Nowhere But You by Chris Cornell while driving through fog. Can't say that was an eerie coincidence because I don't believe in coincidences lol.
Always reminded me of "...And the Gods Made Love" from Electric Ladyland
