- Dawn and John travel down the M1 to the stunning Rother Valley Country Park on a glorious summer's day.
Olympic legend Jo Pavey was the star of the show, representing Running Past 40.
516 runners took part from all across the region.
See Jo enjoy a sprint finish and mingling with fellow parkrunners.
Great to see an Olympian legend indeed! Beautiful running footage! Thanks for sharing! Best wishes!
What a perfect country park for a parkrun. I thoroughly enjoyed watched it. So many people running and it was organised so well. You're lucky for seeing that Olympian.
It's a popular destination for many family away from parkrun as so many walks also around there.
Jo was super friendly and approachable, which was nice. 🙂
Lovely video and glad you enjoyed coming to RV today it was a fantastic event and Jo is a genuinely lovely person
Always enjoy RV and yes it was fantastic. Agreed about Jo! 👍
I met Jo pavey before I ran London marathon. She was super nice. And gave me loads of tips.
She's such a friendly person and yes openly gives advice. 👍
Solid turnout there. Looked like a lovely route around the lake and great to see Jo there as well!
Yes, very attractive route especially in summer. Can be a bit open to the elements in winter...🙂
Looks stunning, and a really good turn out too!!
Well run and documented too of course!👏
Yes we are blessed with good parkruns around here.
Great parkrun footage! It seems like it's a lovely parkrun to do and quite a busy one, really nice scenery by the lake!
Yes it benefits from being one lap on wide paths so even finishing 195th and 197th out of 516, it was never congested.
I must get down there sometime. It's one of the nearest few parkruns to me. It sounds as though it's good for the kids too.
Definitely. There is a children's play area about 200 yards from the finish line. Nice cafe with outdoor seating. Closed roads if they like cycling.
Saw you recording your run as you passed me. It is a great course with good facilities.
Yes a lovely event.
What a huge turn out! Looks a really lovely park :)
Yes, the park is very attractive. 🙂
