Blend - maybe. Hear yourself? No. This thing is VERY quiet when played acoustically. They SAY solid spruce top, but it's either plywood - or so thick it will never vibrate. I was very disappointed in mine. Sold it quickly. He sold it even quicker.
This looks awesome, I play the violin and then learned mandolin and picked it up really quickly but hate how high the instrument still is. I eventually want to pick up the Mandola because I started playing viola but this looks better. I want this, it’s so cool
Gold Tone.... Yes!!.. Salsa and other Latin rithyms like Son, guajiras, etc.. Use versions of the "Laud" that are part of the guitar family... In particular an instrument called CUATRO PUERTO RIQUEÑO and TIPLE COLOMBIANO... The first is a 10 strings guitar, 5 pairs of 2 strings tuned G, D, A, E, B.. And one of the strings is an octave lower than its pair.. And the second instrument is a 12 string guitar but these are 4 pairs of 3 strings.. Tuned E, B, G, D.. This is so freaky!! I play the cello and when I started I always had trouble memorizing songs so I would actually practice them on my mandolin. I've played this song on the mandolin so many times and always wondered if anyone else had ever done that. I'm still waiting for someone to invent a guitar style cello that I can somehow play with a bow. The cello is a very awkward instrument to play, but maybe I think that bc I started on guitar first.
There is a guy builds exactly that and plays the heck out of it with a bow. He says he copied it from someone 200 or so years ago. Roughly it's a small viola da gamba.
I had one of the very first ones in the country. Didn't take me long to sell it. That guy sold it, too - quicker than I did. I don't know if many more made it here....
What was that piece of music he was playing at the beginning? I recognize it but can't place it. Does anybody out there know what it is? It would be appreciated. Thank you, A.S.

With the tuning of a cello, the strings of a mandolin, and the look of a guitar, this really is the platypus of instruments.
Mr worldwide
But you won’t duck when you get the bill....
Is that good or bad?
Yup, you never ever see one and only another platypus thinks it serves a purpose.

Вряд ли этот инструмент украсит fuzz. Он хорош именно с чистым звуком.
someone tell rob scallon about this
He did get a Banjo Bass from them
Gorgeous tone and beautifully played! Thank You !!!
The pickups sound great! The bridge definitely helps to capture the high end, which often gets lost in the sauce with other pickups!
AND it comes in lefty!! I hope to make it my next grab when I'm less poor. Thanks for the demo. Sounds gorgeous
I will have to come check out your shop!! I play mandolin and I want a mandola now.
This is so incredible, restring it and it becomes a kickass octave mandolin. Oval hole would be amazing some day, but I'd still buy this!
Beautiful sound

Yes. It's WAY TOO HIGH from the factory, and is NOT an easy fix.
It has a great sound!
Love it! I admire the young man's talent.
Beautifully crafted and beautiful sounding
This is so cool. I have one on order and ordered custom flatwounds for it.

Love my GT mandolin, now if you just brought back the mandobass.
Mandobass? Is that tuned in fourths or fifths?
Rick C It's tuned in 4ths.
It actually depends, some people tune them in fifths, and some have 4 pairs of strings, while some don't.
An acoustic bass guitar is essentially the same as a mandobass, yes?

That’s beautiful!
can this blend acoustically with an acoustic guitar
Yes, they go together very well!
