got my pro for 399.99 from amazon well worth it for pssr double ray tracing power 2tb storage faster download & install games but 8k is not needed why not add a different feature instead the 8k should of bin for ps6 gaming tech
Been enjoying mine since launch. Like the PS4 Pro, I enjoy the added features when available and enjoy boost any time a dev decides to take advantage of the hardware. I will say that unless you have a proper tv that can truly show off the visual bumps, id say hold off on it. I bought a S90D in October specifically for the PS5 Pro and it has been amazing.
PS5 PRO WAS A SCAM I WENT PC AND THERE IS NO COMPARISON AS MY BROTHER WENT PRO AND REGRETS IT 1800P SUB 60🤔IN ALOT OF GAMES MEANWHILE I GET 120+ ON OLED🙂
If one owns a large screen TV, I own a 77” OLED the Pro is worth it if you’re a fan of Sonys games. I have no regrets upgrading to the Pro. Helldivers 2 was just updated, going from 1080p to 1440p makes a big difference in clarity. Disagree on your opinion on HFW, there’s a massive difference in high frequency texture sharpness, it’s a huge improvement on the Pro. Lightning and post processing runs at a higher resolution.
@@cun7us all his TVs are 65 inch. He is not going to notice resolution upgrades like the people that own a 77 inch 83 inch or higher TV. People do not understand TV size to resolution ratio.
initially, I felt ripped off but it has grown on me over time. I'm liking the pro alot more now since I can actually notice significant differences in some games that I've already played and having the ability to disable pssr can actually get some of these titles to run @ 120fps which is pretty cool. However, you really do need a gaming tv/monitor otherwise forget about it and after having sold my base ps5, it would have been pretty stupid of me not to upgrade. The only thing left now is to try some new games
I bought one. Its for someone that wants the best quality. Its for the hardcore gamer. Most won't care or notice the difference, I game on a 85inch and see the improments. Games like Crew Motorfest, it makes a huge difference, RE4 will run above 100fps and GT7 will run nearly locked to 120fps. Is it worth the price? no. Wait for the price to drop another 100bux. for 700, it should've came with a disk drive. Hoping pssr updates will allow GTA6 to run at 60fps.
oh ok so old gamesss so you paid that for low quality remasters like who are you trying to convince we seen every game broken down it's a pathetic result
I also bought one because 1 want the best possible performance. Tbh i cant see really the difference, but i have only played the last of us part 1 so far. Maybe other games i will be able to tell the difference
@@overheatedeskim054 your comment is a pathetic result of you not doing your homework properly. There are plenty of games that take advantage of the pro power. (FF REBIRTH)
Thank you for the video, I've had my Pro for 1.5 months now, can't wait to see DS2 & Yōtei since they were developed with this version, they should look awesome
I wasn't going to get the PS5 Pro right away but then i started thinking, I could sell my slim. I got the PS5 at launch, then took advantage of the gamestop trade in deal when the PS5 Slim launched so i got that. Then in December, there was a deal for the PS5 Pro at $649. I started thinking so i said f it. I got the PS5 Pro for $50 less. I took the disc drive and stand out of my PS5 Slim and installed them on the Pro. I sold my PS5 Slim as a digital version for $340. I probably couldve sold it for more but Sony dropped the price of the PS5 Slim digital for the holidays. Also, I took advantage of 10% cash back on the PS5 Pro purchase via Paypal and my credit card. I ended up selling my launch Gray Switch (switch 2 is coming out) for $180 and a "new" 2ds xl I had unused for $200. The PS5 Pro ended up being paid for and then some. I have a 55S90D so I wanted to play PS5 at the best and highest level available, and thats with the Pro. Id recommend if you have a PS5 Slim Disc version, you could offset the price of the PS5 Pro by taking out the disc drive and selling it as a digital PS5 Slim.
It's bad just because Cerny promised we "don't have to choose between fidelity and performance mode anymore", instead we now have tons of graphical settings, and many of those are just bad. If I wanted that I would get PC. I do own Pro.
well its not mark cerny who makes these games and hes not gonna restrict developers so thats a stupid fucking point. No matter the power available you could always push it to have a 'quality' mode. The idea was base ps5's quality mode but 60 fps and for the most part it's there.
I had stripped the SSD Screw on my PS5 and I got tired of trying to manage HD Space and 4TB SSDs were so cheap (I picked up one for $175), for the extra storage it was worth the Upgrade. Especially since I had so much Store and Credit Card Points. So it's good for my ridiculously large Backlog that I plan on finally playing someday. But honestly most of my gaming this year and probably multiplat purchases (because of play anywhere) will be on my Xbox. I wanted to return it, but its such a hassle I just kept it. I've wasted money on dumber things in my life. Buying this thing isn't going to bankrupt me. Considering I'm keeping it for 5 yrs, eh.
What's always funny to me is how there are people reviewing the PS5 Pro on UA-cam will say it may not be worth it yet, but still own it themselves😅. Like, if you don't think it's worth it, then return it and just keep playing your old system. Clearly, nearly you feel there's an advantage to having it or you'd return it or sell it. Regardless, it's all personal preference. People should just determine if it's worth it to them ultimately, and not rely on other people to tell them
To me it's a big no. This thing is VERY expensive where i live, 7K reais (which is equivalent to a bit more than 1K US dollars), not including the detachable disc drive, in Brazil. I don't see any advantage in buying a console that will be replaced by a new one in 3 years. Might as well save the money for a PS6
That's way too expensive for you there! I got mine for $ 800 in Dubai, still expensive but cheaper than in your country, if you have the patience to wait, go for the playstation 6 in a few more years.
I bought the Pro for $499 without a controller. I say I ended up winning. Also this has been the best video I’ve found on UA-cam showing comparisons of the Pro.
@@ToxModyes it’s a win. Pro hasn’t been out that long. A used one is barely used. Plus for $500? That’s a steal. Even buying a new controller would still be cheaper than a ps5 pro new.
They never used it. Long story short customer ended up with 2 pros during shipment. When he asked if they wanted it back Sony said no. I also was in misbelief . Also you act like the Pro has been out for 5 years. I bought it 1 month after launch. But to answer your question , yes used is still worth it.
For Horizon games, even though the standing still render is similar, in motion - like when spinning the camera at speed, the Pro version retains detail, where the base console can get more 'blurred' in motion. I wish they left the option of the old unlocked mode too! Naughty Dog retain the old modes as well and new Pro modes.
They may look better, that doesn't make it worth the price for most consumers. Some consumers that have the best tvs and need the best tech yes it's worth it. Anyone with a 1080p tv not worth it Anyone with a tv that doesn't have 120 hz not worth it. Anyone where the $300+ it would cost to trade in your PS5 base and upgrade is a lot of money to them, it isn't worth it.
Uh the enhanced ray tracing and some 60 fps modes look great on normal TVs, you don’t need a 120fps TV at all. That being said, most third party games don’t support Ray tracing + 60fps even on the Pro
"Wu Kong, Alan Wake 2, Space Marine 2, Silent Hill 2, FFVII Rebirth, GT7, Lies of P all look WAY better on PRO. Yes, it is worth it. 100%"-@KalinhoPL 😂😂😂Rebirth yes. Alan wake 2 and silent hill 2 definitely not. They even had to downgrade silent hill 2 in the pro patch update because the pssr made the game look terrible. Ps5 pro is not worth the price of 2 standard ps5 consoles😂. You can pretty much buy 2 normal ps5 consoles for the price of one ps5 pro. Definitely not double the value or quality. It's not even as much of an upgrade as the ps4 pro was to the base ps4 and even the ps4 pro wasn't twice the price of the ps4, nor was the Xbox one x double the price of the Xbox one s or xbox one at the time of its release. The one x made sense. The ps4 pro made sense. Ps5 pro is definitely not worth the money. It's Sony doing an apple and taking advantage of fan loyalty with upgrades so small they are hard to detect in most side by side comparisons. Sorry to be that guy. The main thing is that you enjoy your purchase. We're not all built the same. Personally on principle if I bought something and it wasn't a big enough upgrade I'd take it back. When I bought the ps5 remastered version of uncharted 4 and lost legacy even though it only cost me £15 brand new I still took it back because it didn't look a big enough upgrade over the original version I have for my ps4 pro. Also when I've downloaded patch updates for games on my xbox one x that came in at whopping patch update sizes whenever I didn't see what changes the upgrades made I deleted the games and reinstalled running the basic version to get back the wasted space. See where I'm going with this? On principle I don't like the idea of being robbed be it money or hardrive space if there are no visible differences to my games with those upgrades to justify the sacrifice.
I think you will be fine with PS5 even after the (probably stressful) release of PS6. Look at PS4. It gets new games in 2025+. And it got exclusives in the first 2 years of PS5 as well. So PS5 should be easily capable to play games in long run. The SSD and fast CPU (compared to PS4) is a solid and good base.
It was worth every penny to me. The PS5 pro breathed new life into my PS5 library not to mention PS4 games that benefit from the image quality enhancement. Haters can kick rocks.
I’m struggling to justify mine , the ps4 upgrades are absolutely tiny sharper txt hmm or zoom in x5 and u may see less jaggies, some ps5 upgrades are nice sure but not enough and not good enough to justify £800 if u want a disc drive like I did.
Honestly not to pretend like I'm a "baller", but if you are that concerned about the cost of the PRO and keep asking people if you should buy it or not, then that is your answer, don't buy it. Buying a gaming console or TV isn't something that should require such heart burn, mental gymnastics and "fear". Either you want it and can afford it or you don't. If you are happy with your PS5 then keep it, if you aren't a Pro isn't going to change your opinion. If you don't have a PS5 and a Pro is only a couple of hundred more, get the Pro for the Extra Storage. I would say get an Xbox Series X and Gamepass over a PS any day of the week. But I've been on both Platforms for 20 years so it's too late for me to change.
The pro is a very grey area. Those who like it will enjoy a handful of ps5/ps4 games with a slightly better sheen to them. Those who dislike find the system a complete rip off for a marginal upgrade and its flagship selling point was the PSSR which has given devs a lot of issues. Now they are giving us the option to turn it off. That’s like buying a performance car and having a sport mode that’s useless compared to the basic drive mode. I own a ps5 pro and currently on the fence about it. I don’t like or dislike the system. I only hope and prey by December this year they somehow get that PSSR running like it’s advertised.
In my opinion, I’m happy with my ps5 slim. Games look great to me, and I’m not really a hardcore gamer. I’m more of a casual gamer that likes to play games for the story. I also don’t own a high end tv. It is a 4k 120fps vrr tv, but it’s only ips. I rather use the money to upgrade to a oled tv than a ps5 pro. I usually sit about 8 feet away from my tv, so I wouldn’t care about image quality. I would just wait for the ps6, because that would be a much bigger upgrade for me. And it will include all the features that the ps5 pro currently has (like pssr) plus, new features as well. Great video Markus! 👍
Honestly, I think save your money and upgrade your TV if you can. I was debating getting a PS5 Pro or replacing my LG C1 with the Sony A95L. After seeing some comparisons on UA-cam and Digital Foundry all I can say is I’m glad I decided to replace my TV instead. The difference is almost like a new console, the picture just looks so good now and no comparisons have changed my mind. Base PS5 will be fine until PS6.
if u have the money get it. your more future proof then ps5 and all games have that little extra added to make it look more smooth and crispy, its one step closet togames looking like cgi
Value is subjective. Some individuals might perceive it as a lucrative investment opportunity, while others might not. That’s perfectly acceptable. The more significant aspect to focus on is the evolving landscape of AI-driven hardware and software trends in the gaming industry and their potential impact on the industry’s trajectory in the future.
It's subjective to a certain point. If it was a thousand USD then obviously no one would think it was worth the money, and I happen to think it's overpriced for what you're getting now. I agree with your second point though; if PSSR gets better over time like DLSS did then yeah, it has the potential to be a game changer.
The Pro is 670 in the UK. At that price it's worth it considering the specs. It would have been better with a 1tb drive and optical blu ray drive instead imo. My 2tb nvme drives are approximately 140 pounds alone for my PC.
I agree, i have the pro and now i just need to get a decent display, my current one doesn't even have VRR nor HDR.. At the moment im only going through my backlogs of playstation 4 games and saving the pro enhanced titles until i can get a good display. Found an LG nanocell Tv not sure if it would be good with the pro tho
Think it will be worth it over the time but it’s something for enthusiasts. The average gamer that’s not so heavily into specs won’t and doesn’t need to care so much about. I’m still a bit disappointed regarding Jedi survivor and outlaws. Thought it would be possible to play these games without issues on the pro. Hoping for further updates. Other pro patches like The Crew Motorfest, GT7, Callist Protocoll and Space Marine 2 are absolutely solid!
Yeah, if I lived in Australia ain't no way I'm paying $1400 for the PS5 Pro. Fortunately I live in the US and it cost $700 here. I sold my OG disc PS5 for $300, so it worked out good in the end.
I'd struggle going back to my base ps5 🤷 the improvements to games that aren't even patched makes it a no brainier, to expensive but it's the best PS5 to own hands down 👌
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the start of showing why the PS5 Pro is the console to use for every new release this year. As of now, there are a lot more positives than negatives on the improvements of games being enhanced. The main culprit now is Ubisoft and at this point, Ubisoft is a disgrace to the gaming industry. Overall, I don't regret selling my PS5 to get the Pro.
A friend brought over the PS5 Pro to my media room. At the regular 8 foot seating distance, except for extra confetti in Ratchet and Clank and shinier buildings in Spider Man 2, I could not see a difference. It's not worth $700 USD. Also the base PS5 has not been maximized. Most gen 9 games are released with gen 8 ports which proves developers are still using last gen tech.
@tangiblemammal5273 how would I know, I got it from a stranger on offer up it was brand new but box was open everything originally wrapped like it haven't been touched he was selling it for $600 originally and someone was suppose to meet up with him to buy it before me but they flaked and he msg me if u wanted it but I didn't see the msg because I was bust and they he msg me again saying if I come get it now he would take $500 because the other person flaked I guess because he thought I wasn't interested after missing his msg he was tryna give me a deal to come which I would've went for $600 but I was happy I missed his initial msg because I saved $100 🤣😂🤣

I bought one and I'm happy with it. Most first party games looks even better n runs even better. 😊too bad third party games still not knowledgeable to code for pro
To be fair, with most pc games, you really have to sit close or stand still and compare footage to see differences between certain things...only a handful of stuff will stand out that you trained yourself to notice at the end like blurry water with dlss for example....but does it really matter? no. Framerate will matter a lot if you go from 30 to 60fps....but even then your eyes can get used to all of that if you play more than an hour. But at this point, even with pc, we have diminishing returns....unless we have a huge breakthrough with graphics, i don't think we gonna see much change in the next 10+ years....just like we hardly see differences in past 10 years. Gameplay is still the same in most AAA games the last 15+ years anyway, you basically upgrading to making it look a little bit better every gen.
The prices are rising in a sick manner. So comparing to my new PC builts the PS5 Pro is in relation very cheap. The problem is this mssive inflation provoqued by the politics.
Great video as always. I agree, look, I bought my PS5 pro. Yeah it was more expensive and completely lame that doesn’t have a disk and a stand. Should I recommended someone to get it, well it depends only if you have a good tv / monitor else we’ll probably not
I will never go back to regular ps5. If you want the best perfect and graphics on console, you will not be disappointed. If you can sell your ps5 even better. You do need a nice display so I would suggest getting that first for sure then the pro.
I had full intent of buying one, and a listed my base PS5 on marketplace a few weeks before Christmas. Because of the holiday deals on new base PS5s, I was having a hard time getting my unit move at the price point I wanted to get. Because of that, it took longer than I expected and I didn't want to buy the pro until I had the money from the base sale. In the interim, I started watching more videos about the pro. Man, I feel like that couple weeks allowed me to completely dodge a bullet and not wasting my money. I already knew that it was a high price tag, and I knew that it didn't come with a disk drive, etc. I had made my peace with that it was still going to purchase. But when I started seeing videos about certain games actually looking WORSE than the base version, That's when I finally realized how much of a rip this thing is, at least at this point while developers still haven't figured out how to completely utilize PSSR and optimize the games. Maybe in a couple years that will have changed, or the price will have come down. But by that point, the PS6 will probably be out. Hard pass on the pro.
Yeah just like with PS4 Pro getting checkerboarding upscaler that was the best thing since sliced bread yet it was immediately forgotten after that gen🙈
He forgets this console is for the next 4 years. 700$ is a low price if you game a lot. The upcoming kingdom come deliverance 2 is already showing amazing results for pssr. Is pretty much proven at this point all new games for the next 4 years will be much better on the pro. And they say 700$ is expensive over 500$ 😂😂.
We have to wait for firmware updates to increase quality of PSSR and delete all bugs. It’s to early to make an opinion. And of course we need to buy also the disc player
I use a 42' C2 and I game at a desk. So distance is the same as PC gaming. So I assume Pro would work for me. Price is only thing holding me back still.
no idea how can anyone say it was a waste of money. Some games went from 30 to 60fps. Much better anti aliasing, stellar blade looks way better than original 30fps mode and runs 80fps... It's night and day difference. 800euro is not that much. Cheaper than most graphics cards, smartphones, vacuums. And it even got 2tb drive. How can you say it is too expensive? It's 250 euro more than original ps5. Adding up inflation to original ps5 ... and you got roughly ps5 pro price.
The days of Sony releasing those big budget AAA games that would make owning a PS5 Pro worthwhile are gone. They have repeatedly said they will only do 1 or 2 of those a year now. And that's pretty much been the case this entire gen. But people just want to stick their head in the sand and ignore that. Future of PS is Live Service Games and one Banger a year. That's not worth all the money for the Pro.
@@MichelleAlexandria-EM those days are coming brother, they are coming this year. Ghost of YOTAI, death stranding 2, metal gear solid three Delta. GTA6
@@ToxMod Those are MULTIPLATS! Ghost of Yotai and depending on how you look at it DS2 are the only First party AAA games. You are coping. That's not enough reason to buy a PS5 Pro over any other console. I would still prefer a Series X and Gamepass. The Pro isn't night and day better the SX. And I have both Consoles so I'm not trying to console war here as I hate the stupid console wars. I'm just looking at it "logically."
@@MichelleAlexandria-EM 🤣 multi platform? After Xbox going third-party and they stop selling consoles, what consoles are gonna be left? I’ll wait. Oh, and before you include Nintendo as a platform or the incoming switch 2. Ask yourself if Nintendo hardware will even play one game listed above. You are future proofing yourself when buying a pro. To go even further you’re almost like a test subject to the pro machine.
I really like the ps5 pro I think the price is not bad for what you get . I don’t think it’s for casual person it’s for more of hardcore / enthusiast gamer that doesn’t want fork of over big bucks for pc . Like what can you get for $700 on pc a keyboard and mouse now a days lol
PS5 Pro price is OK in Australia. US price is US$700+tax, that's ~AUS$1,123+tax or A$1,235 inc tax, so A$1,200 MSRP is spot on. We can see from all the crazed people making pretty scummy $700 PCs, that yeah, the PS5 Pro price, while high for a console, is a fair deal for the h/w. And people often overlook the 2TB gen 4 SSD included in the price. With the special trade-in deal and EB member bonuses, the upgrade was modest cost. An since I traded in my XSX too, it was actually a really cheap upgrade!
When base ps5 launched i couldnt buy it ( ive tried a few loterys). Then i decided i would just wait for the ps5 pro. Now its here, ive decided its not rly worth it for me. If it was 600/700 (including disc drive) i probably would have bought it, but 1000 is too much for it imo. I rather just upgrade my pc videocard (from 3060 ti to 5070 ti). And about all ps exclusives come to pc anyway. I got plenty of games to play, so waiting on a few is not bad.
The ps5 pro is absolutely worth it. I sold my base ps5 and put the money towards it. This is the way of the future. Pcs have been doing it at a high level for over 6 years now. A. I upscaling native resolution is dead. Software upscaling is outdated. All the base consoles can only do software upscaling fsr2 or checkerboarding. That's it. With the much improved Gpu the ps5 pro. Can use pssr. Well be able to utilise the new amd a. I upscaling and as we have seen with horizon zero dawn. They just simply used the extra Gpu power to create one of the best looking games ever. In my opinion sell you ps5 use the extra money to get a pro. And if you can update your display to oled 120hz vrr. The difference is significant and the gap will only get wider. Thanks
AI upscaling is absolutely not dead. DLSS4 is right around the corner and it's a GIGANTIC leap in quality and performance over DLSS3. Many games are unplayable at native resolution even on the most powerful GPU/CPU/Memory configurations (I'm running a 4090 with a 7950X3D and 64GB of DDR5 at 6800mhz). Well, unplayable might be different for everyone, but 30fps as a target is not comfortable for my eyes as I get motion sickness if I play anything that has massive frame dips from 30 to 20 fps - which is why I could not play FF16 on console. 60fps is the bare minimum framerate target in my opinion in 2025+. When the next generation of consoles releases they should definitely be targeting 60fps as the min. framerate for all games. (Edit: After re-reading your message - are you interchanging AI Upscaling with Software Upscaling? These are one in the same and the hardware and software work together to achieve the upscaling you see onscreen. These aren't separate processes. Drivers control the hardware which renders the upscaling process. That's why you need to download new drivers at times so that new features can be enabled. Software alone can't do anything - it needs to communicate with the hardware. The processing is done at the hardware level though and it's not like emulation of hardware on other hardware platforms. It's native to the device itself.)
Ps5 pro wifi if you have wifi 6e router is significantly faster also , then orginal ps5 which only supported wifi 6 . So just to clarify you do not need a wifi 7 router to see big difference in wifi performance..
i think LG Fooled people for getting that MATTE looking screen ON G4. glossy screens are far better colors better sharpness and blacks that's what g5 is.
PS5 Pro is what the base PS5 should have been in the first place. There is almost no reason to go for a PS5 Pro instead of a budget PC for almost the same price.
No built-in disc drive and external drives are still sold out with no restock in sight. I'm giving Sony one more chance with the PS6. If it's the same shit show, I'm done.
Due to your accent, I always thought you were European based! I'm also from Australia 🇦🇺 and had to fork out the $1200 price tag for the PS5 Pro. I agree, most people don't need to upgrade to the pro. It's a waste of money. Only if you want the absolute best performance and quality available for games on the console (Like I do) Then that's the only reason you should consider the upgrade.
You contradict yourself a little bit when you say it’s a waste of money and in the same second you say only if you want absolute best performance and quality available on the console 🤦🏻♂️. So which one is it?
@ToxMod Not necessarily. It's like he stated in the video. Certain factors play into the decision. If you got a high-end TV to match with the Pro. Then you'll get benefits from the upgrade. But if you're somebody that doesn't pay attention to image quality and frame rates. Then there's no benefit to upgrading, hence a waste of money for them.
Its expensive but thats not the only problem, price wise ... it wont get a discount or price drop anytime soon, atleast a reasonable one. It might go down $50'ish or so now and then ... maybe in 2 years the price will drop a bit more. Sony are like Apple. The Pro Is 800 euro's here in Europe, its quiet baffling to be hounest. You are looking at 1000 euro's including disc drive, a stand and a game.
This is a hipotetic question but what about if someone plays everything at 30 fps because dont really care about 60 fps do you think in that case is worth it ?
30fps modes are usually not improved much. The best modes for us 30 guys are the 40fps modes if you have a tv that allows it. And then yes 40fps is great in the games using it on the pro.
@@joeydirt420 that is simply not true, some games on the base console at 30fps have higher resolutions than the pro at 60fps. If you don’t mind playing games at 30 FPS, you’re already getting the best resolution out of your console in most cases.
@@ToxMod yes slightly unnoticeable better resolution while standing still. The second your playing the game pssr handles movement so much better everything is much more detailed and clearer.

initially, I felt ripped off but it has grown on me over time.

Fellow Aussie here. The disk drive is still difficult to obtain here.
For your US viewers, keep in mind that the retail prices have tax included.
I get your point with Cerny, but can you just set your preferred game preset on the system level so your issue is basically resolved?
Depends on the game. Some have the same amount of options, some have less, some have more. Devs are free to do it how they want to.
Never ask a stranger such a question.
Bad way of going about purchases.
That's way too expensive for you
there! I got mine for $ 800 in Dubai, still expensive but cheaper than in your country, if you have the patience to wait, go for the playstation 6 in a few more years.
I play on projector projecting a 120 inch image. Pro is a night and day difference because of the image size. Glad I purchased. Size matters.

😂😂😂Rebirth yes.
It is not only about the graphics. Smooth gameplay is key.
Well this definitely solidified my decision not to buy the Pro. I'll be waiting for the PS6!

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM bro, I wish everybody would read your comment. Well said.
Very true
@@simonuk1213 correct if you don’t have a 77 inch OLED or bigger you shouldn’t upgrade your console and instead upgrade your TV.

What kills me is those on a Pro and they have a terrible TV or monitor. HDMI 2.1 is a must. Even for the base PS5.
If the price doesn't bother you and you always game, just buy it. You gonna need that extra power for upcoming games anyway.

Gameplay is still the same in most AAA games the last 15+ years anyway, you basically upgrading to making it look a little bit better every gen.

nope😂 65inch or better..
Not really. For the best immersion and to fully appreciate 4k detail you should be sitting 1.68m away from the 55 inch screen.
77 inch or bigger. Not even a 65 inch TV can show the difference. On the other hand if you’re talking about in motion, the pro is far superior.

Hard pass on the pro.
you made the right choice, by ps6 we will really appreciate the upgrade ^^
Way to early to make a judgement, PSSR will continue to be improved via updates and new games will be made with PSSR in mind.
Why? Right now it's too expensive....in 6 month it can be different.

Totally not worth if you own the base version.
i think LG Fooled people for getting that MATTE looking screen ON G4. glossy screens are far better colors better sharpness and blacks that's what g5 is.
Im a Console Game only, i want the best Quality so i bought the Pro at Launch. Period!
@@valiantthor5238 well said
PS5 Pro is what the base PS5 should have been in the first place. There is almost no reason to go for a PS5 Pro instead of a budget PC for almost the same price.
😂😅😂😅
I got a Xbox instead of that “Pro” scam now I can actually play NEW games
If you have a 120 hz/VRR OLED TV then I think it's worth it.
You spent way much more time showing the few PS5 Pro enhanced games that were bad, than all the many games that greatly benefit from Pro.
If you playing on 1080p or 2k u dont need if u play on 4k tv monıtor u need simple.
It's been worth it for me and making me wanna ditch PC, but I still need to get some life out of my ultra wide monitor hahaha
But the ps5 pro games or updates are not developing anymore. In last time no updates
Not worth it for me. The base model is just fine for me. I'll wait and save the money for the PS6 which will release probably in the end of 2027.
This is a hipotetic question but what about if someone plays everything at 30 fps because dont really care about 60 fps do you think in that case is worth it ?
Yes.
30fps modes are usually not improved much. The best modes for us 30 guys are the 40fps modes if you have a tv that allows it. And then yes 40fps is great in the games using it on the pro.
If you play everything at 30, you don’t need a pro.
Definitely not a waste of money . The smaller console , slight upgrades and massive storage are worth it . Especially if you traded in your older console . Very happy with mine. It is overpriced though.
perfect review
I have one and it’s definitely not worth the upgrade, even if there are differences, you will barely notice any.
@@markbotfield3694 you don’t have one. And I’ll tell you what else you don’t have, a high-end 77 inch OLED. That is all.
50% more expensive 2tb 45% faster thats a good deal!!
Pro is 160% more expensive in my region!
$300 for digital ps5 slim
US $800 pro, disc is $150 stand is $30 us
Its not worth buying for me 1.6 more money and only 45% faster! If it was 2x or 3x faster i would have bought it without hesitation!
