it fucking SENDS ME that every single interview with troye, zach brings up that phone interview from the past and every single time, troye has forgotten and acts super shocked haha
troye has made my whole past two weeks. thank you for a little bit of fun, its been a minute since i've been really excited for new music- thank you guys for the interview.
JUSTICE FOR EASE !!!!!!!!! I would LIVE for Troye to sing that song more, don’t feel like it got enough recognition back in the day. My favorite song he’s ever put out (even got it tattooed) what a song. What a legend. So proud of him
Yes! I've loved it since the first time i heard the little teaser he posted for the Wild EP and every time I hear it, it brings me back to that time...
I know right?! Every time I kept thinking that it had gotten as unhinged as it would get, it got more unhinged - like omg I was sitting here just dying laughing at some parts ahaha🤣
This was not an interview- it was like two great friends that are just talking about some of their deepest feelings and life stories!! Well done Zach and thanks Troye for giving us so much! ❤️
Great friends? Just b/c the dude kept saying "We've known each other for 16 years" doesn't mean they're friends. Troye doesn't have his number or even follow him on social or remember being interviewed by him before lol, but OK.
I must say that, while this is the first time I've viewed your show; you interviewed an individual I'm becoming extremely fascinated by, Troye Sivan. I'm a 'Senior Member' of the LGBTQ+ community (71yo, 27+ yrs together with my Husband, [Married 6+ yrs]); the way you present questions, and keep the flow of the conversation is simply Amazing! Far beyond your years! I look forward to viewing more of your broadcasts and I which you (and your team) Well!
Your interview style makes me smile so much. You really just let the conversations happen and it's clear you have directions you want to go. You never force a change in topic. It really let's those who you interview show a bit of genuine personality. Amazing amazing amazing
I can't remember the last time I actually watched an interview, without putting it in the background, uninterrupted, in one sitting. Bravo and thank you!
Respect for Troye and his open heart and sex positive approach to human connections. I resonated so deeply with my approach to dating since the end of a long term relationship. Every connection I've had has helped me learn more about myself. I've also processed it through my own music and writing little poems in my journal. Not sure if I will be able to share my room with another person again either 🤣 But this interview was very insightful to the narrative of the album and also how Troye has evolved through the past few years ! Thank you! xxx
This is such a delightful conversation. Thanks Zach and Troye for making me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends and providing important discourse on queer dating and relationship dynamics. ❤❤
The lyrics to "Still Got It" resonated with me SO HARD as I had also recently bumped into my ex after about a year of not seeing him. When Troye talks about it at around the 42 minute mark, it really just tied everything together for me. Incredible album, Troye!
he’s such a genius at writing what he is feeling. i’m so confused listening to his songs stiLL. like we’re still in that confusing period after the breakup like we were in IN A DREAM. in “can’t go back” he wants to go back but can’t wait to live without him in the same breath- and isn’t that the human experience. phenomenal
I've been a fan of Troye since TRXYE and TBH were released and it was one of the first lgbt people I got to listen to in my adolescence. He's always been so open about how he felt that it made me feel safe about my own identity. I'm digging into this new era, it's like it's always been so freeing, listening to you, but now it feels like you're going further and kind of blooming again and Zach really got to portray that during the conversation💘 Amazing interview!
after the release of the "got me started" mv i went back in to my obsession with troye so ty for this interview, feeding me more troye content. also i think we could live without youth performed on tour lol but hearing ease live would be so good!
i've never been this excited for any album as much as this album has made me happy, this is so amazing. and i absolutely love troye and his talent and fun that comes with his songs. on a side note, ALL the songs are amazing literally ALL are incredible.
Troye looks SO good and I’ve had this album on straight repeeeeaaat the last week, constantly discovering new favs as the songs all grow on me! I’m a minute in and he’s already so fkn deadpan and sincere and funny lol I love
I love him so much. It’s been so exciting to watch him grow from TRXYE to Something to give each other. One of your girls is definitely my favourite song of all time, a masterpiece.
I'll be honest. I was about to switch this off when Troye said he was waiting for that ease. When I met my wife, it was so easy. I wasn't freaking out or trying to impress or be different with her. It just was that ease that made it obvious that I was with a person that I had been looking for.
I have no idea what you're talking about, still got it and can't go back baby hit so deep for me the first time I heard them, left me breathless, they're his most honest ballads yet and yet the most hopeful and bittersweet
Great interview/conversation! So happy he still wants to do "Ease" live- one of my favorites! Even though he didn't include on album, I hope he performs "You Know What I Need" live :) Looking forward to the tour with this album- Troye doing choreo! 💖💖💖
Wey love youth, but we love more Troye, so if he does not want to it's totally fine, because we can stream the song if we want it to. Also the album it's like therapy, it's a gift he always does for the world ando it's SO HEALING... I'm so proud ando thankful with him
I’ve been going through a hard time in life and got me started really helped the days feel better. Thank u sm for your music troye, super proud of all you’ve done!
I didn't truly know there was love at first sight until I saw my husband. Little did I know he was coming over to meet my best friend. Been inseparable ever since. Almost 11 years ago
Youth is iconic. Truly. It’s groundbreaking for being a big hit by an openly queer artist. It resonated with a lot of young LGBT people. It was the soundtrack to OUR youth. I believe it launched his career to new heights. It is defining of the time it’s from, yet the message is still true today. If Troye does not perform youth that is like if Gaga does not perform bad romance, Katy does not perform firework, Nicki does not perform super bass, Lana does not perform summertime sadness, etc. It is a must!
There’s so much to talk about when it comes to a straight guy wanting to sleep with you. They’re on the down low and want to hide you as their secret. Honestly I’ve had to pretend a few times to be one of his girls and it’s so shameful. I’m surprised to hear Troye have such a refreshing response to this situation. I’m super happy about this album and love that it gives a lot more than just finding love. It’s about connection and being happy with something everyone gives us in our life ❤️
One of your girls is absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time! It made my heart flutter when he said it was his favorite too❤ I knew I had good music taste😂
My all time faves from Troye Sivan: YOUTH, Seventeen, SUBURBIA, Plum, Fun, Swimming pools and Happy little pill. I would cry if he performed any of them on tour, I'm so excited to finally see him live!
I love Troy. When I was his age, 40 years ago, I wanted to be like him mentally/sexually. I didn't quite make it. I am so glad he is doing this, everything.
Recently been getting into Troye's music (no idea why it took me so long) and being able to hear his thought-processes behind the song is just so fascinating. He really seems like such a kind, articulate guy and I hope that he continues to grow in popularity! (Love that he's so open about being Jewish as well, my Jewish brother fr 💖)
31:00 Hearing him explain this song really sells it for me. Because my biggest reservation about the song is that it feels somewhat demeaning ("give me a call if you ever feel desperate"), and so many gay men are talking about it as if the feeling of being readily available for men who will not see you as someone worthy to be loved due to their own inability to accept themselves is in any way a positive experience. It's a song about men who won't compromise their status as 'straight' to be seen enjoying you regardless of how you make them (or how they make you) feel. Like the song is not a bop: it's tragic.
I agree. But some 'straight' men aren't trying to abuse their hookups if they disclose its casual sex. Communication is important. Some men have told me they are sexually attracted to men but cannot see themselves dating one so sex is purely casual. Making that clear isnt really abusive if it is talked about openly prior, which i think is another side of the song, being vulnerable to explore! And that's a great thing in any light if you are open to that.
@@Implosion-Gaming Hmm I will say that I don't see where my comment implies abuse or at least that wasn't my intention. From the way you're describing the men you're speaking about, it seems to they're comfortable with their attraction to men (the men I'm referring to in my original comment, and the guys Troye 'dedicated' this song to, do not seem accept their attraction), but do not want to be seen as not straight. Quite explicitly the song is about desperation. Healthy communication is a good bit beyond the scope of the song lol. I feel like a lot of gays are romanticizing the song. The song is definitely about unrequited love, but in a self-loathing way. I agree with your sentiment, but I don't see where the song communicates that. I don't think this is a good case of death of the author either because the song is just so direct.

troye saying he rarely crushes and then describing what he’s looking for in a partner was the most gemini thing ever bahaha
For once we have a famous gemini that is not a complete mess!
Troye doesnt like star signs very much so dont ket him catch you say that 😂
it fucking SENDS ME that every single interview with troye, zach brings up that phone interview from the past and every single time, troye has forgotten and acts super shocked haha
I KNOW RIGHTT!!? Lmao I remembered this exact moment from the last interview lmaoo
I just watched every interview with him because of this comment and it was so worth it, it's hilarious lmao
troye has made my whole past two weeks. thank you for a little bit of fun, its been a minute since i've been really excited for new music- thank you guys for the interview.
Literally!!
Agreed!!
me too...i havent listened to true pop for ages and actually liked it. Troye rocks!
Its soooooo good❤❤❤❤ we need it on tour AND you dont have to perform youth tbh…
SAAAAAAMEEEEEEEEE
that song is a vibe
Omg same and I also got it tattooed, on my wrist specifically
This interview was unhinged from start to finish 10/10
I know right?! Every time I kept thinking that it had gotten as unhinged as it would get, it got more unhinged - like omg I was sitting here just dying laughing at some parts ahaha🤣

33:06 Zach asking, “Is everybody okay?” after dropping the most insane story ever is taking me out 😂
the double gasp when Troye said he isn't going to perform Youth ever again made me crack up but honestly i'm shocked too i love Youth 😭
same!! a part of my heart kinda broke, it was the first song I ever heard of him, and the song that made me obsessed with all his songs
I must say that, while this is the first time I've viewed your show; you interviewed an individual I'm becoming extremely fascinated by, Troye Sivan.

Zach really is one of the best 💜
troye was so sassy this ep LMAO

truly my favorite album this year. unreal

Ugh this interview is sooo good! I’ve been obsessed with this album and this interview is now taking it to whole other level.
appreciate you!
34:47 troye's face when zach asked "how fat's your deck" LMAO i'm crying laughing he was like surprised but also not opposed to answering
This is such a delightful conversation. Thanks Zach and Troye for making me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends and providing important discourse on queer dating and relationship dynamics. ❤❤

No wonder Troye writes amazing songs he expresses himself beautifully and he is so eloquent. Class act.🤩
One of Your Girls is such a relatable song for me as a Queer person. Straight guys have done this to me my entire life.
besides being an absolute legend & talanted icon, he's just so undeniably beautiful
“Date efficiently” - perfect quote 😎
This was such an unhinged yet relaxing interview from start to finish. I loved every moment of it ahaha! 🤣
he’s such a genius at writing what he is feeling. i’m so confused listening to his songs stiLL. like we’re still in that confusing period after the breakup like we were in IN A DREAM. in “can’t go back” he wants to go back but can’t wait to live without him in the same breath- and isn’t that the human experience. phenomenal
Another conehead in the comment section
His album has been on repeat all week for me, I love his perspective and it's so dancey I love it.
I've been a fan of Troye since TRXYE and TBH were released and it was one of the first lgbt people I got to listen to in my adolescence. Love this interview, i liked the zane lowe interview troye did recently but you can tell he's a lot more vulnerable and open in this setting
I love how every time you interview troye, you need to remind him that you interviewed him for that wolverine role. 😆
It's amazing how much I feel the same way Troy does
"How fat is your DECK" PLSSSSS THAT GAVE ME WHIPLASH
what does deck mean?
like a deck of cards
He’s such an icon

I'll be honest. I was about to switch this off when Troye said he was waiting for that ease.
When I met my wife, it was so easy. I wasn't freaking out or trying to impress or be different with her.
It just was that ease that made it obvious that I was with a person that I had been looking for.
I met him in person in Milan and froze. I wanted to tell him how much I love him.
Him talking about the good side made my heartbeat race 🥹🥹🥹
EASE is my favorite song from Blue Neighbourhood along with Suburbia I would loveeee to hear it again
Just loved this enterview! Troye is so open and fun. I felt a little sad when he said he's probably not perfoming Youth, one of my favorites for sure
I have no idea what you're talking about, still got it and can't go back baby hit so deep for me the first time I heard them, left me breathless, they're his most honest ballads yet and yet the most hopeful and bittersweet

Love me some Troye Sivan. He is so angelic looking.
"how fat's your deck" took me OUTTTT

I didnt quite make it either lol. He is living the fantasy fully.
Love the album Troye, we have the same favorite song off the album✨

I love Troye!
I love it when Troye is on the Zach Sang Show!
