Hoping we might get some new content soon with the weather warming up a little. You left us on tenterhooks with your new camp spot. I’m having to keep myself entertained with some old videos 😄

Thanks for sharing, that looked like a really nice relaxing camp. I completely agree with what you were saying about the rain. When you're up on a hill, the rain can get pretty unpleasant. But in the woods, listening to the pitter patter of rain on tarp can be pure joy! 👍

      Thanks for watching Barney.
Yeah was a very pleasant camp and I'll definitely be returning to that spot, although there are a few other good spots in that forest, so spoilt for choice a bit.
      Thanks again my friend,
      Cheers,
      Elliott.

Beautiful forest Elliott and a great little setup too 👌 Ribeye steak and mixed grain rice, washed down with pine needle tea. Perfect. Very nicely done indeed mate. Cheers, J 👍

I surprised myself with how good such a simple meal can be and the pine tea was lovely. Definitely doing all that again.
It really was a beautiful part of the forest and waking up in it, despite the rain, was magical.
Thanks for watching Jason. Really appreciate it mate.
      Cheers,
      Elliott.

Excellent man, the perfect camp 👌 and spoilt with rain on your tarp as well, and plenty of needles too 😄 with owning a Felco saw I reckon you might be a gardener by trade maybe, just a guess. Great video mate nicely done 👍

Thanks for watching AJ, glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah the rain was actually very pleasant and the sound on the tarp is so relaxing.
Good guess with the Felco. Not a gardener by trade but keen amateur. Have a friend who works in horticulture that originally recommended the brand, and its certainly held out well.
I also have a bacho laplander somewhere, but cant find it.
I'm guessing you have some kind of similar experience with gardening?
Anyway, thanks again man, much appreciated.
Looking forward to your next trip 🔥

How did you magically managed to found a perfectly chopped tree to use as sit or table?? You didn't pull out any chainsaw or axe, neither you showed you chopped the tree (as you did later pulling everything out from your backpack).... so my question is if this is all already a spot half arranged not really total random bushcraft?

The log was from a part of the forest where some felling was done a few years ago.
The log was a few years old and left over from that.
In the UK, almost all pine forest is managed by logging companies which fell trees in certain areas every few years and there are always logs and stumps left over from that.
Hope that explains it my friend.

What an absolute chuffing great bit of woodland, Elliot.
    Love it 😉👍🏼
What are your thinking your new Robens sleep mat? I’m interested to know.
Rain on tarp = happy days.
Nice idea on the tarp/groundsheet pack away 😉👍🏼
    Vulcan Cyclops ruck?
    Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Tim, appreciate you watching.
It really was a stunning part of the forest with plenty of low ground cover, holly, young pine, hazel etc which is great for tucking yourself away.
That was the first time using the Robens mat and it was great, much better than my old thermarest which was too thin for me now. The Robens is insulated and rated for 4 season use, so no need to carry anything else and packs to a reasonable size too. So love it so far and got a good nights sleep on it.
I got the name of the rucksack wrong. I've had it for over 20 years so just forgot. It's actually a Talus which is discontinued, but the Cyclops bit refers to the back system I think, which the Vulcan also uses.
      Thanks again for watching mate,
      Cheers,
      Elliott.

@@beaconbushcraftoutdoors5834 I’ll have to have a look at that Robens mattress, Elliot. Thank you!
I Grooogled the pack. You are right on all counts. Cyclops II Talus.
This is getting as bad a thing for me as me buying tools for my business 😂
