FutureCanoe has genuinely become one of my favorites content creators and I've known him for like 3 weeks
same!
Lol me too I recently found him thru yt shorts about 2-3 weeks ago and I love him
Same tho
Same lol
Same 😂
This man has me in a chokehold with his videos. Does everyone remember when Bon Appetite came out and everyone loved watching all of the chefs, this man gives me that energy and that joy. I hope he succeeds in everything.
how does this guy give the energy of Bon apetit? have you watched sorted?
Man i missed bon appetit before the whole drama thing
@@MahsinurRahmanLava when it first began it had the excitement, that newness. Everyone who watched was like “yo this is it! This is the thing, the channel, to watch”
@@MahsinurRahmanLavasorted do so many shady ads and aligned with a propagandist of communist China😂😂 can't watch them anymore tbh

FutureCanoe discovering the joys of a true nonstick pan is adorable
my favourite thing about these videos is the almost perfect balance between great technical knowledge and goofy radioactivity (although there was none in this video!) it feels like when i'm in the kitchen with my brother or something haha
all those dumplings look so good, keep it up futurecanoe!
I am lazy but like good food, futurecanoe has so many recipes I use every day
That bacon was green and yellow in places lol
I'm a legume
You're thinking of the Nepali / Indian dish, it's called a momo, literally just dumplings in indian sauces / spices. Pretty damn tasty!
Edit: You guys are correct, it's primarily Tibetan and it's branched out from there! :D
ya many 'creative" north indjans often make curries with them. pretty common to. find in delhi
Yea I agree as an Indian.
I also agree due to them sounding knowledgeable but I’m not Indian. 😊 👍
momos are a Tibetan dish. they became popular in India and Nepal due to Tibetan restaurants there.
👍 about to comment this
I think the Indian gravy-dumpling dish you talked about is called jhol momo. It's a Nepali delicacy. Love from India.
The voice makes me feel better about myself. People always tell me I drone so I learned to modulate my voice a lot so I'm not too boring to listen to.
Him being successful makes me feel better
Okay but hear me out; boiled dumplings in the potato ramen from the ramen video is pretty solid. Trust me, I ate it last night and it was pretty solid. Peak food to prep my soul for finals week.
Also man that kimchi bacon one looks good.
Source: trust me bro
i’ve been eating boiled dumplings with ramen for three days straight
good luck with finals my friend 🙏 u got this
The food equivalent of the hug you need in those times. Good luck with your exams!

Quick tip, if you add a splash of vinegar to the water flour mixture for the "snowflake" it gives it a salt and vinegar chip like taste!
omg, that sounds amazing.
I love watching you succeed. Your channel hits the perfect note of that goofy, sometimes disappointing but with very high highs feeling of cooking for yourself as an adult for the first time.
"look at this beauty, kinda look like the sun"
I haven’t really commented much on UA-cam since 2009 but I just want to say these videos are giving me such a newfound hope for cooking. In 2019 I started a journey of cooking one new meal a day and this channel is giving me the strength to continue!

This is the video I needed. That water trick for the boiled dumplings is awesome. Please start all three, podcast if we can only have one.
By the way you got me buying frozen dumplings. I've never done that, but your recipes always seem so easy to try it's too tempting.
My favourite way to use frozen dumplings is while cooking any soup-based ramen (usually Shin Ramyun) I just throw 3-4 of them in during the last minute or two of cooking.
Really elevates the experience by making you feel fuller (with the same cooking duration) and great dumpling soup at the end. 10/10 would recommend
Ohh didnt think of that. Sounds delicious.
I could not help but rewind at 12:24 to hear that little "hee" again xD that was so cute!
Great video I don't eat dumplings usually but this is definitely helpful if I ever decide to fry them or boil someday.
My dude, im becoming more and more impressed with your cooking knowledge and the balancing of flavors
About 9:55, we have a dish called momos here in India, which is basically dumplings but smaller and usually different fillings, and we go crazy with the combinations for it, so I'm sure butter chicken momos exist somewhere, but it's not common, usual combos go chicken/ paneer (cottage cheese) varients of boiled/steamed/fried/deep fried ones, we have other sauces to pair with it too :)
I thought it resemble kofta a bit coz the stuffing of dumplings are pretty similar to kofta balls that's why
4:16 For the curry dumplings, I suggest reducing the liquid down to same consistency as the actual Japanese curry. Then add hot dumplings to it. It might taste better that way. 😅
12:28 Heard that little 'hehe' chuckle at the end. 😂
Great video. My go-to dipping sauce is 1TB soy sauce, 1TB rice wine vinegar, 1 tspn brown sugar, 1/2 tspn minced ginger with optional chilli and/or a few drops sesame oil.
my dumbass read that and thought 1 terabyte
@@bootymanjesus672 You mean you dont store sauce components in terabytes?

I like these types of videos of yours.. you are so relatable and your judgment of the recipes you try are honest and that is so useful especially when you put your own input to suit your palate.. also I appreciate you giving thanks to the original videos that inspires you and linking them 👏
Thank you honestly for showing how to wrap a back once it is open!
I love how you can stir humor and knowledge with great presence without even showing your face 💚
Literally bought my first pack of frozen dumplings for the first time in a decade about 5 hours before this video posted. Must have been fate.
12:27 "I guess this dumpling episode, is a... wrap? *giggle*" LMAOOO nice pun
The little happy dance after eating the cheese dumplings made all those years of radioactive chicken exposure worth it
despite all the jokes about the radioactive food
You're probably one of my favourite cooking channel because you dont show recipes that looks like a 5 star gourmet meals.
When i make you're recipes, I'm happy with the result because the result looks like what you did...Radioactive
Yup watching him is a good reminder of how carefully staged, styled and fake "normal" cooking content is, it's the food equivalent of seeing those candid-vs-photoshopped Instagram accounts that call out influencers
i cant believe it, i actually learned something. thanks FutureCanoe, this is genuinely helpful
If you are cooking them on a skillet, fry the bottom pour in around half a cup of water and then close the lid, works great for me
I have been watching you for proabably over a year at this point, and I just love your channel man. Congrats on 1.2 million!
the day, youtube recommended your channel to me and i started watching your content, and then subscribed to your channel eventually, and then actually enjoying it, and then even getting to look forward to new videos of your channel.and the way that i genuinely enjoy your videos and how you made me laugh out loud... for real. laugh out... thats a talent, my boy. use your talent for your advantage. you are exactly in the universe and timeline you need to exist. thank you for your service, comrade!
I have noticed there are more emotions in his voice lately, have to appreciate the development 👍🏻
10:13 I wasn't looking at the screen and when I heard Amberlynn's voice, I spun my head so fast I got whiplash LMFAO
9:25 you should start a cooking channel! I think you'll be pretty good at it
As a swiss person I love you and always get excited when you bring out the never ending raclette
Fun fact: Brussel Sprouts are in fact cabbage! So is broccoli and cauliflower.
11:22 sir...
Ive been a sub since like 15k subs and suddenly you have 1.2 millions, it has been great watching this channel grow
Bro you have to stop being so cute
Hey Future Canoe . Yes there is a dish similar to this .
It's quite recent and not traditionally Indian but Its known as Tandoori Momo
Instead of Pork Filling the Filling is of Chicken or Paneer and its goes like
You Deep Fry the dumpling till cooked
Then you cover it with Tandoori Marinade
Then you Grill it off until marinade /batter gets firm( 😅) and sticks to the Dumpling
For More Info you can check the Tandoori Momo Recipie of Chef Ranveer Singh Brar for getting a more clear Idea of How its done(knitty gritties like time or temperatures and all)
You should make a vegetable video where you try to make vegetable dishes you actually enjoy eating 10 times
idk if ill ever try any of these but the videos have such a crazy calming effect on me.
Never has his videos made my mouth water more.
Thanks for being a light in this crappy dark world we love futurecanoe
FutureCanoe never fails to cook up the most diabolical, radioactive, taste-bud-demolishing looking food on earth. 10/10 creator
the kimchi one is just perfect, i have an opened pack of bacon, half a jar of kimchi and some frozen gyoza that ive made like a month ago. thank you
hey calm down mate you almost showed cooking skills in 10:37
Currently cooking the cheese one. Super inspirational.
I like these style of videos. Much like the ramen video, it just elaborates on something easy to cook and makes it more enjoyable. I’m tired
i'd love a podcast, gonna be the most relaxing thing to listen to
I have a physics final tommorow, but FutureCanoe is FutureCanoe. Good job team.
9:50 yeah, hre we have our own twist on dumplings, called tandoori gravy momos
the giggle at the end was adorable
FutureCanoe is just too good for the past week all i am watching is his videos he is goofy and genuine person keep up the content ❤❤
“My favorite nut butter… tahini” I’m amazed there were no other jokes in there
Butter chicken momos (momos are Tibetan dumplings) is quite a popular blasphemy that exists too but there are tons of recipes with a similar style of gravy and the main component, one could be Dum Aaloo from the state of Jammu & Kashmir and made with potatoes! :)
Great video man!
i love this format :> glad to see more from you
I found your channel one night while I couldn't sleep and it was hilarious so I patiently waited for my 13 year old son to wake up so we could rewatch it together. He already knew who you were and now we watch your videos together. We already cooked together but somehow it's even more fun now. Thank you!
The Italian take on pan fried dumplings that took you to India is actually a dish in Nepal. It is Jhol Momo.
These are such great ideas. I can't wait to try it, especially the cheese one! Thanks!
Nice job team🤓
Def need a video where he recreates food from movies/shows like ratatouille or that sandwich from adventure time
prolly the one channel that gives me the most motivation to cook, and I have no idea why
Every futurecanoe video is a blessing
HELPPPP IVE NEVER HEARD HIM LAUGH 💀💀💀
Glad to see Mark again! It always pops up in my head when I accomplish a mediocre task 😂
That breakfast dumpling looks fire!!! Gotta try that out for sure!
This video came right on time for me! Thank you
The new bowl is actually pretty dope!

Is it just me or are his videos leveling up recently? Like the new main character glass pot he got, new non stick pan?? Also: emotion!
The channel Future Proof did a video called "The TRUTH about ceramic cookware". Guess what? They aren't really ceramic and the non-stick is achieved by the heated pan excreting material that I assume you ultimately ingest. I think it said so but I don't recall clearly, but based on how it works and the fact that it is consumed by use it has to be getting into your system. America's Test Kitchen has their recommended non-stick pan which should be safe under 500°, if I recall correctly. Long term I will probably switch to a carbon steel. Someone had a video explaining that between a cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel pans, you are covered for all skillet needs.
Great looking dumplings, I followed your ways of radioactive food but made rice and fried chicken with it, if I don't suffer it is a good result
for curious people what I did is this :
Rice: 2 bullion(chicken and meat), 2 cups of water, 1 cup of rice, some spices(use your preferred), let them simmer for 20min
Chicken : Take a pan and add 2 to 3 tbsp of butter, after it is bubbly yeet the frozen fried chicken in and move them around time to time until some parts are black(just to make sure it is cooked well) add some spices during this, like garlic powder etc. and dont throw the butter away, it will be a sauce
Final part, cut the chicken to bite sized pieces and throw it into the rice, add the spiced up butter, add some lemon juice for fresh taste, barbecue sauce if you are weird like me and mix them together. Then eat
yo this is useful af. My dumps always look massacred
I love frozen dumplings. I'm going to try at least 3 of these recipes. Thanks for sharing!
"Mixing colors kinda fun" ikr😭😭❤
First things first, I'm the realist, the rac dumpling looks fire ❤🔥
4:26 Was that a moan-
A new upload just when I needed it, thank u ❤
I found your channel a week ago and am addicted. You're a cool guy
Deep fry dumplings
I can eat an entire 2lbs package of frozen mandu in one sitting, it is worth the food coma. Will be trying the cheese method.
🧡🤗 I am always delighted when I get a notification about your videos
Another great video my guy 😊
you should bring back something like but lazier
If that non stick pan is teflon, you might not want to use it for sauces with tomatoes or anything acidic like the ketchup or soy sauce you just used in the video, as it will damage it and things will start to stick. I noticed that this was the case with my pans, and since then, I keep a non-stick strictly for eggs and other stuff that requires a good non stick surface and it's still brand new after almost a year of almost daily usage.
High heat wrecks the coating quickly as well! And makes it carcinogenic 😬
It's crazy that these pans don't even come with a label admitting its very limited usage to be safe and last more than a few months.
I grew up with non stick, I just assumed pans are only good for a little while and then they suck for 2ish years until they start flaking, then you get a new one 🤡 getting a carbon steel pan as an adult blew my mind lol, it's so reliably amazing. It can take scalding heat, it's just as nonstick as Teflon when seasoned, it'll last a lifetime and won't make you sick. You can wreck its seasoning and then restore it infinitely, and it's good as new - someone put mine in the dishwasher, it looked like it was fished out of a lake all rusted and sad, I fixed it in 30 minutes.
The only downside is it just takes a few minutes extra care when you're done cooking. It's crazy how a whole generation gave up all the functionality of traditional cookware for a few minutes of convenience.
@@MildExplosion That I did not know. I keep using the old non-stick for other stuff that often involves high heat. Guess I will have to switch to my stainless steel from now on. Thank you!
@@kobralazer for stainless steel pans, try the mercury ball test! i use it for eggs and it never sticks
@@MildExplosion It's fine as long as your pan is below 450F and you don't heat it dry. Adding meat also lowers the temperature quite a bit.
I don’t care what anyone says. This guy is better than half the professional cooks I’ve seen on the internet.
cannot get enough of this guy videos
i’d love to see you follow a bob ross painting tutorial
Protip. Smack the bag against a hard surface to separate anything frozen.

I love and appreciate your humor congrats on 1 million subscribers I’ve been watching you since you were at one 80k
I thought it was a one way ticket to Italy but I guess the spices kind of took us to India 😂
I’ve been binging this channel for over a week. I’ve watched multiple of his videos at least 10 times and I’m not even exaggerating 😭
Every single time I hear, "First things first," all I can think is "I'm the realist". I cannot explain how satisfying it was for you to say that out loud. Thank you.
