*Note: Grabagun, from whom I purchased this lists a 3.86" barrel model, but the model I received, and manufacturer spec is 4". Full review with specs, pricing, sources: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/rock-island-derya-arms-dy9
I've heard several times that when times are good for firearm dealers, Grabagun treats customers like crap. Of course when they are hurting for sales, they sing a different tune. I also heard from a very trustworthy person that he made an order for magazines that was accepted, confirmed and set for shipping. a day later he was told the item was out of stock. When the person called and respectfully questioned how this happened, the agent was nice but didn't have an answer. No big deal. A month later, he attempted to place another order and was informed that Grabagun would not deal with "a person like you." I was shown the entire email chain. Seems like Grabagun is like Cheaper than Dirt...totally lacking in integrity.
It’s awesome to see a manufacturer actually care about their product enough to take the time and watch the reviews and feedback from the customers and firearms community.
Evet ülkemizde üretilen silaha bizler de görece kolay ve ulaşılabilir fiyata ulaşıp çeşitli tip mühimmatlar ile denemesini yapıp içerik üretmek isterdik. Amerikan toplumu bu açıdan çok şanslı.
For a second or two, I thought you were the guy from the youtube channel "Military Arms Channel", I realised that wasn't the case. You weren't whining.
Thank you for the review, much appreciated. There arent many reviews in English on the Derya DY9 and you took the time to fully review it. Happy shooting take care. From SA
The Diarrhea is a pretty gun. I like the color combination a lot. Too bad we can’t get them in California. Maybe in the near future. Thank you for the review.
Thank you for this. A local gunstore has one of these I been considering. By showing me what this firearm can do. So far ir seems impressive and the price point makes is appealing as I am on a budget.
Got this from grabagun for $228 shipped $30FFL fee , and I have no complaints took it to the range put 200 rounds of Tula135gr HP no issues . And they have a rebate that is valid till December 31 for a free 33 round mag … God Bless America!!!
Great stuff. I would run out and get one tomorrow if California gave me the privilege to buy one. It reminds me of the FMK. I appreciate the tip on the gripping with the pinky when using extensions. I never heard that before.
I got it $199 from grab a gun. It looks really good feels pretty good in hand. With the sights, I noticed I have to aim a little bit higher and with this video you guys made I can confirm that! Ahh and trigger is heavy. Feels like 10 pounds 😂. It doesn’t like steel ammo. Tried 4 different mags they all fail go extract with steel.
Graham, looks like you tried all Glock 19/Glock 19 pattern mags? Rock Island told me the gun could also use 17 round Glock 17 mags, which would fit flush with the magwell rather than being recessed inside. I do wonder though how they will work out because of the shape of the magwell. As an aside, I just watched a fellow review the G Force RPX-9 Exodus, another Glock 19 clone from Turkey. It would not run 124 grain ammo in Glock branded mags, but worked fine with KCI and Magpul mags, which is a surprising result. In any event, with a 6.3 lbs trigger, I'm interested in the DY9's trigger quality. Sounds like it's similar to a standard Glock 19 trigger and is thus just "OK," but not particularly refined? I'm not knocking the gun at all given its price, just wondering if the DY9 is more appropriate for new shooters rather than those who already have a collection and are looking for both refinement and value. Certainly the Tisas PX-9 among others would be a pistol which offers both. From what I've learned, Derya is "on the ball" and I expect them to continue to improve their product. Thank you for the review!
I noticed in your 124 gr test that you changed guns to a Q100 Mk23. In the 115 gr test you used your K100 Mk12. Have you tested some of the 115 gr rounds in the Mk23 to see if they get the same velocity as they had in the Mk12?
Most pistols are mechanically more accurate that most humans can take advantage of. My struggle with this gun comes down mostly to the sights being a bit large for shooting groups.
I found this video very refreshing by having a female point of view on testing a firearm, better than some of these sidewalk commandos that post videos and they have to wear gloves, some are really hilarious !!!!!!!
They've been around a bit, and I believe their shotguns have been in the US before, but this is the first of their handguns I've seen on the US market.
Im requesting a performance review with just factory OEM and Glock OEM mags with 500rds. Pleeease. I'm coming home from across the pond soon and if this good. I'm buying.
The 17rd mag is pretty much flush with the lowest part of the flared mag well. And part of the mag is exposed in back where if curves up. I actually like the way it looks but I can see it bothering some folks.
yes glock holster will work or any adjustable holster. You might need to trim or modify certain holster but for the most part a G19X is the exact dimension . 1st time I shot one, I thought it was a glock FWIW. Also glock magazines are better and more reliable, if you shoot 147gr ammo you might have jams with JHP, YMMV
IDNK if it's related for +P but not sure why you think it would exploded. The gun is glock like even down to being melonite. How they can put this together and for 218usd is just shocking.
GB....you have one of the 2-3 channels that are completely trustworthy. You should be wary of supporting whining, thin-skinned hypocrites like David at Humble Marksman. A couple months ago, while at Shotshow, Humble (on his own video) was seen flagging someone in the head several times. When this was pointed out, he lied about it over and over. When he finally realized it was crystal clear on his own video, Davey then made excuses for it....I'm serious, When several comments pointed out there were no excuses for flagging someone because "people are not permitted to have a loaded gun at the show," Davey resorted to attacking those commenters. He should grow up and admit his mistakes.

I think all of of them are 4" bbl length. A friend of mine wife has this gun and it shoots okay. She bought it for 218 USD FWIW
That's a cool video. Appreciated!
Definitely cool pistol

Turkey is manufacturing excellent handguns. Starting with Canik, Sarsilmaz SAR, Tisas, Girsan, Stoeger, among others. A now this Derya Arms.
Every turkish gun I've ran into is phenomenal!
Another beautiful firearm from Türkiye ✊
Turkey is killing it that’s a nice looking pistol
For a second or two, I thought you were the guy from the youtube channel "Military Arms Channel", I realised that wasn't the case. You weren't whining.
Turkish Firearms are coming good. No any issue in operation, build looks good, number of things in the box. Affordable. 10/10 for a new shooter

Good video man! Enough to make me go check out the pistol online!
Details and some deeper thoughts are in the pinned comment.
Hello from the Helderberg mountains of New York State, thank you for all the great reviews

I think I’m about to order it and go pick up at grab a gun. Thanks for the comment I’ll be picking up some of the same ammo you ran as well.
Where did you see that rebate offer?
@@ryanpereira8133 I found mine on GrabAGuns website
Sportsman warehouse sent me an email saying if I bought the melik then I would’ve got this one for free ! I regret not getting it now
That's about the same
Price as a Hi point But butter in every way nice
Great video. Gotta love a good deal!
Love the videos you guys do. Very much appreciated & enjoyed!
Thank you
Sounds like a winner to me.
Thanks for the video.
Hey found your range report awesome thx again for the review!!
Gonna buy today!!

You mean if California recognized your right to buy one.
@@GBGuns yep, we’ll get there someday, hopefully I won’t be too old and decrepit to shoot by then though

The Extar magazine was a 17rd
My next new gun. Also if you can I would like to see how the GForce Rapture does, thank you

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!!
I’d be interested if the shooting accuracy. Good luck 👍 improves

a new Turkish company
They've been around a bit, and I believe their shotguns have been in the US before, but this is the first of their handguns I've seen on the US market.
That is an 80PercentArms clone frame with an altered trigger guard. You won't convince me otherwise.

I would like to see this gun with a glock 17 mag. With magwell do you get 17 rounds flush?
The Extar magazine is 17rd
@@GBGuns how far does it stick? I can't see it with the hand over. Lol

@@jndriggs nice! I just got one. Seems like a steal
So how difficult is it to get spare factory mags? Maybe that's answered somewhere in the comments and I missed it.
I don't know for sure, but since it accepts Glock-pattern magazines you can find magazines anywhere.
Thanks for bringing us the firearms that you don't see in every gun shop. Very interesting and informative. 🫡👍👍
GBGuns You got a like Thumbs up from me no. 666😈🔱 Satan came to visit your channel today 😆 Greetings from Stockholm Sweden 🇸🇪

Slide bite?
Anyone get a holster for this? Will a Glock 19 holster fit?

I saw where a blackhawk holster works well with this gun. They have nice holsters.
turks are mading bests clones best of world
So that was a glock 19 mag, right?
Yes, a whole slew of them
aiming dead center but pulling bottom right
$200??? Can you spell '' truck gun"" ?
Does it take Glock mags? 🤓
Mine has worked with Glock, KCI, and Magpul
Kaç bin atım yapacak ?
Not on the MD roster. 😞
Roast beef and chlorine😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Like eating a sandwich poolside?
@GBGuns so I thought about that and you hit the nail on the head! Now I can't smell anything different from that while shooting 9mm
Different ammo smells differently
Kral kr19 another Turkish clone of glock 19 Probably not in the American market yet
It’s a Glock clone. Not for me since I have small hands.
Fortunately the least Glock part of this is the ergonomics aside fromt he flat front strap
I must ask, has anyone tried +P ammo and did it explode 🤣

I agree completely about Humble Crybaby. As for Grabagun, I've heard mixed reviews. Some love them and some not so much.
