I really like these old school apartments because they were designed to actually have people living in them long-term, not like a lot of the carved-up shoeboxes we see so often. These apartments have foyers, large closets, functional kitchens, fireplaces, and pleasing layouts. I would gladly live in any of them even if the rent is a bit higher. If you like where you live, you'll spend less in restaurants and bars and on those expensive "I'm feeling sorry for myself" spontaneous purchases. It's a better deal in the long run.
I couldn't agree more! I love the delightfully old classic charm with modern appeal. So much room and tastefully updated. They go so well with each other!
Hands down, the third apartment with the in unit washer and dryer was worth the price of admission for me. All the apartments were pretty awesome though. The one negative (besides the prices) is that none of them seemed to get much natural light. I guess that’s because of where they’re situated. These apartments would be ideal for a vampire.
Totally agree the building has not so good light. It makes a difference. I live in a small 2BR 1.5 BA with floor to ceiling North East facing windows and it really adds a lot of value to the apartment and changes my mood. Also my plants are happy.
Vampire? Or, a curmudgeon like me! Perfect except people who love NYC deserve first choice; and, I'm loving the place I have with my daughter and her family in the South.
Yey love collabs! All the apartments in this building are really nice, gives old school vibes with a clean look, I don't mind the interior views either as the bedrooms are huge. Great location for Brett.
My favorite was the 3rd apartment, with the laundry. It was massive. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of bathrooms with jack and Jill doors. Brett, Cash, and Charles all sharing an apartment, the wackiness that would ensue. I'd watch that show.
The Jack and Jill doors are nice - because guests won’t have to go through your bedroom to get to the bathroom and you don’t have to go through the living room to get to the bathroom 😊
@@wendyg3869 Yes, I know this, but you would have to remember lock your bathroom door every time they come over or a nosy person will try to peek in your room. Also, if you are the roommate with the jack and Jill bathroom, your roommate with the master bath will send strangers to your room for this very reason, they don't want their own guests going through THEIR bedroom to get to the bathroom. Speaking from experience, unfortunately.
Finally a place after my own heart. I would line that hallway with bookshelves for my books. That has always been first priority Ina new place. Don't care about the kitchen or having a gym or view. I need miles of wall space. And thank you for always being informative and so cheerful. You brighten my day😊
Tuned in ☕️ NYC is amazing with residential dwellings in the midst of commercial property. The balcony of second apartment makes the apartment well worth every penny 💞
What a lovely building! I absolutely loved the last apartment the best! I don’t necessarily need multiple bedrooms... My Grandkids love camping out in their sleeping-bags! Besides, there a washer & dryer! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
Ooooo, I love these apartments but the one with the outside place, for me, wins hands down. You just cannot underestimate how lovely it is to have outdoor space when living in NYC.
That's hilarious you get excited about Maytag! My dad used to be a Maytag service guy - he had the hat and the blue uniform just like the commercials...well they actually had baseball caps, but with the Maytag logo on front.
Wow Cash, multiple choice! My fav is the 'mystery apartment'. It has big kitchen and home laundry plus the rooms are a really good size. Have a great weekend.
Cash, okay just curious, if you have a balcony and want to clear the snow off where do you put the snow? I would imagine you can throw it over the balcony into the street. Strange question yes but some like to use a balcony even in the winter. P.S. Keep your videos coming, I'm sort of addicted, thank you.
You build two gigantic snowman one at each end or an igloo which you could sublet out or send your child for time out with their snowsuit on of course….
OH! An all-star cast! This feels like one of those old Sylvester Stallone movies that feature all of the elderly action heroes! Nice buildings! You can't really beat the location. While I liked the $3800/month one bedroom it seems a bit expensive for one person but a great price and space for a partnered couple sharing the rent. The $7600/month PH was a "no" because of the expense-- even though I liked it, until... the BIG reveal that each bedroom had its own bathroom. In midtown Manhattan proper? Sign me up! The unpriced unit was nice but that monthly rent.... Which makes me adverse to paying $4100/month for that 1 bedroom even though it is very spacious.
Now that's my kind of building Cash. The first apartment was a good value but of course I liked the PH with the balcony. Only negative are the open kitchens. I lived with it before and now again in my townhome and doesn't work for me. You went big time...shout out to Brett!
All the apartments were really nice and pretty big. Surprised to see so many bathrooms that actually has space inside to move around in! Now I'm not from New York infact I'm Canadian ( I'm from a little suburb called Caledon East it's located about an hour from Toronto, Ontario) so I've been watching videos showing apartments around NYC that never had spacious bathrooms let alone spacious living areas & bedrooms! Wow these were amazing!
Absolutely love these videos. It's just so interesting to see how people in the biggest city live. Very nice apartments too. It's just the prices are so crazy to me I have a literal house, brand new, built in 2020 and we pay 1200 a month. And we have a garage! But I guess NY is different for some reason, I am so grateful I dont live there or pay that much for an apartment with no light or views
A few nice pictures for hallway & maybe a coat hanger & small end table where you could place flowers.. keep it simple by leaving it as bare as possible.. it will make this space seem bigger
In addition to the rents, NYC is kick ass expensive. I drove to the City last week to get my hair cut and it cost $50 to park my car for under two hours. I will not say how much the hair cut cost, I think I need electric shock therapy..lol. Thanks for the video Cash....you are the brightest light in NYC!! xoxo
The dual door bathroom is also called a semi en suite. It opens directly into a bedroom but also the hall way. You can go into the bathroom from your bedroom, lock the hall door, and take a shower, then go back directly to your bedroom without having to go into the hall.
Good morning Cash. I must be watching and paying attention to too many of your tours because the rents on these don't sound too bad for NYC. I just love the amount of light the apartment gets on the windows in the bedrooms are wonderful.
I liked the one with the working fireplace. You don’t see those very often in apartment buildings since most of them are bricked up. But I think having a working fireplace would be good for when a day comes where the power goes out in the winter. Can you imagine that happening and you have no way to keep yourself warm but with like hundreds of blankets. That makes me cold just thinking about it. P.S. I love your videos Cash.👍
The one with the long hallway was my fav, however, I LOVE the kitchen from the last apt. I could do awesome things with that long hallway. Put a nice long entry table to drop your keys on when you come in. Have a lamp there as well. Then further down the hall, a sitting area with a couple chairs and a round table between the chairs. So many things to do with it!
All very nice, luv... old school with modern touches... liked the one bed... very tight kitchen in one of them, and a strange... but no doubt essential!.... column in a bedroom. BUT as soon as l saw Charles l knew they would be pricey! Great building.. love the letterbox! Rather save up to buy than pay those huge rents... cheers mate!
We had a Maytag washer and dryer for 25 years the only repair was the dryer. I was so sad when they stopped working. Unfortunately they don’t make them the same anymore cheaper made not meant to last a long time
My fav is the Penthouse… that patio alone is worth $$$$$$$6? I imagine holiday lights shining thru each of the many Clean windows and you can actually clean the outside glass! from the longest terrace in NYC ! I would love to see you and your lovely wife and sweet daughter Valerie living in that exact space… keep up the good work I watched this one twice… why? your personality ***shines***in this one !
Wow Cash I actually love them all. 6000.00 is not bad at all considering were I live apts are 3000.00 and up. And the job opportunities are definitely not here. You would have more opportunities in NYC. Thank yoy for showing us these wonderful aots. Try to stay warm Cash.
first one hands down best basic apart huge private deck, all to self huge views great location light/airy -big deep low-to-the-ground windows the rest doesnt matter
An amazing building! I love love love the penthouse! That terrace is worth all the money! And 3 bedrooms as well! So much room for books and cats! And with all those window sills and floor space, think how many plants I could fit! Excellent video 😘
These were all really nice apartments. I liked the finishes and the fireplaces add charm. Even though I'd prefer in unit washer/dryer, the building has a good laundry room. If you got the funds this looks like a nice building.
I have no intention on moving to NYC but dang those are tempting and I would love to live in all the action!! Great video, looking forward to the next!
The lights in the last apartment really help. I like seeing everyone's reaction to entering the apartment. Keep warm. Since it's below 20° in Cincinnati now, I'm going to head over to REI for some of those special mitten gloves you wore recently. Now if I could only thaw out my car. Not making this up.
The foyer i would put in a storage closet and one of the wooden beaches that has the coat hooks and cubies above it strain the bench seat and a little table to hold he mail and your keys!
I know this building!!! My old acting coach Eve Collyer lived there until she died in the early 2000's. She told me Tennessee Williams once lived on the top floor
The penthouse is affordable… if you bring roommates to split the costs. Worth it because those killa views are stunning! A definite upgrade from the downstairs apartment which costs the same when you divide the one upstairs. I’d take the penthouse any day,
Great location. I work around that neighborhood. For the first apartment, I would put a long thin dining table in the hallway. The second penthouse apartment is perfect for a family with a big terrace. The last two apartments are good too. I would pick the terrace over the washer & dryer on any day.
The first or the third apartment. Probably the third apartment. Could make any of them work if I had a reason to live in that part of town. My question is how close is the nearest grocery store as people might not want to eat out 3 meals a day.
What an awesome apartment in a phenomenal location! Who wouldn't want to live in the beautiful, beating heart of Manhattan's Midtown? I love all the skyscrapers in the area! Thanks for showing it!!!
Violets' mommy is adorable. Glad your marriage is good. I keep wondering how many homeless people from Bethlehem, PA with their retirement funds are living in one of NY's apartments.
When 3800 starts to sound cheap, I know I've watched too many of these.
Right😀
😂
LOL I thought the exact same thing
Well, comparted to 7600...
I heard that! I thought that in galley kitchens there’s suppose to be 30” in between the counters to be able to open …???
Charles is killing it with these listings! He came. He saw. He conquered.
Yep!!! Go Charles!!! 🎉😉🎉
Thank you for the tours Cash! These places were awesome
EXPENSIVE, TOO ! 💀 😬 😝
@@paulsuprono7225 Not in NY. You don't think so if you live there.
It's his job why wouldn't he be doing tours?

Those shoeboxes are old downtown tenement homes. Once you get more uptown the proportions are more livable.
I'm with you!
I agree completely!

Charles has the best listings and I am sure he is a great real estate hustler. He is so chill!
I cracked up when someone yelled out when you were in the kitchen….”Does it have a sink sprayer? “
Yey love collabs! All the apartments in this building are really nice, gives old school vibes with a clean look, I don't mind the interior views either as the bedrooms are huge. Great location for Brett.
