Hi Tammy, I absolutely love your show it inspires me to let loose in the kitchen. For instance I added iced coffee syrup to this icing, delish. Another experiment was mint flavouring, hubby loves that one. We’re adding the pounds here girl and it’s all your fault 😂❤
Definitely going to try this! Just fyi, adding an extra yolk adds moisture and “softness” . I do it with pretty much every baked good I make. And, any time you remove an ingredient, such as the cocoa powder in the cake recipe, you need to compensate for it. I would add a little extra flour in this case. Love your creativity & passion for cooking!!!❤❤❤

I'm confused - whenever I mess up & use self rising flour with baking powder & baking soda, I have a disaster. The cake explodes in my oven. Does the sour cream make that much of a difference? Also, your mixer looks like it mixes very well without having to constantly scrap down the sides . . . Is that correct?

Cannot wait to try this one! Haven't made anything yet from your videos that wasn't awesome. In fact, MawMaw's Tea Cakes are my husband's favorite. I've probably made them 4 or 5 times already. I've never been a pie maker until I tried your chocolate pie recipe. It's beyond simple and the best ever. I actually use that recipe as chocolate gravy and it is delicious with pie crust pieces as dippers. I do not put my chocolate gravy on biscuits as my husband does (with crunchy peanut butter added).

You really shouldn't use the baking soda and powder with self rising and if you take a look at the recipe I omit it
