Thought the same thing
It's pretty cool
It's luma key if you want to try
@@Thai.H Sooo cool
Meh, saw that transition a lot of times on Top gear
No one at the airport: " i can make my backpack do beeping sounds"😂
oh no
This was my first thought. I remember abandoned bags were an alert raiser a while ago due to events. May have been more UK though.
@@sernikpl2010 They're in Canada. If it exploded, people would just get covered in maple syrup.
Cause real bombs beeps to give people a chance to escape
noo
At first I didn't like Jonathan, but now I'm convinced he's the perfect guy to host this channel. It's really nice seeing LMG grow this much as a media production company.
Absolutely. It’s easy not to like something new or different but I am glad the community has given him a chance. He’s easily proved himself
Yeah, it certainly does not feel like the usual LMG type of production. I was unsure of the host at first, but he has quickly gained my acceptance.
Yes, he is a good host.
Gives the LMG vibe, but is a complete Apple guy. Must have been hard to find, tbh.
lesson learned: stop judging other people
He confused me at first but I like the polar opposite of him vs LTT. He’s so calm and it forts the channel so well
Thanks for the Video! So I recently received an AirTag 4-pack as a gift and immediately put one on my Keyring and one on my backpack. I thought of putting one in my wallet but thought to myself, "I never lose my wallet!" A few days later, I had tempted fate far too much and, sure enough, couldn't find my wallet. I finally found it on the cushion of my chair but thought to myself. An AirTag would have made that a lot easier to find. After testing some wallets, I found the best quality from one of the webs that I tried. The wallet is made of good material and is durable. It fits my four cards in the middle with two additional cards on the side and any spare case. It isn't too bulky.
Thats so true, where did you get the airtag wallet from?
@@meirzula they called vionentus
@@Vionentus thanks found them!
You sound like you're losing your mind no offence, keep track of yo ahit man
i feel like most mac channels will have to improve the production quality to stay relevant
I hope they will improve, but often it's also "whoever comes first wins". By now there are a plenty of reviews and videos, however, this is definitely a more "real life situation" video which I appreciate.
Yeah this a way more polished video style like the Verge unlike LTT’s other videos which is great.
And the review quality as well.
Imho Snazzy labs is pretty close on this regard.
Linus is a literal god. He reinvent the tech journalism industry.
And in todays video we see if an air tag can survive a controlled detonation by the bomb squad by leaving a unattended bag secured with an electronic device
Thats exactly what they'd do if this was in the UK lol.
@@TalesOfWar or US.
I was thinking that myself. Canada must be a chiller place. In more ways than just temperature, mind you. LOL
Can you imagine if it started beeping after the explosion?
I think Australia too
This also proves how nice and honest Canadians are. Makes me want to move there.
I can imagine airtags being used in countries with high theft rates.
they'll just remove it when they steal it.
some companies will have to get creative over how to attach and hide the airtags inside the backpack.
@@TheHammerGuy94 You can just hide the Airtag within the backpack by cutting a opening inside the pack and slipping it in there.
@@de_stroyed Right? Like why isn't that the obvious thing to do XD?
ua-cam.com/video/jnL7sJYblGY/v-deo.html Some US cities are pretty honest too.
@@TheHammerGuy94 yes they will raid the Back for everything with value and trow away the back incl. Airtag
Sometimes I forget that this channel is based in Vancouver. Love supporting local creators!
Last time I forgot my backpack in a train station the German version of the FBI (Train stations are national territory for some reason) rolled in and wanted to take a look at my backpack. They needed to call the Bombdogs to make sure there is only a laptop inside. Was one week after all the terror in Paris. They were on high alert.
I spotted you and Andy last thursday filming at marine skytrain station!
EDIT: I actually see my car at 6:05
You got a Tesla? :O

I feel like this might be the best airtag video that won’t get as much views as it should.
This is my new favorite. I'm so glad you were hired. This channel feels slick yet intimate.
I would love to see your coverage of the new iPads.
The production value of this new channel is INSANE! Keep it up!
this production value needs to be applied to channel supper fun
@@jonathanp720 probably not cause channel super fun is something that is meant to feel casual and not like super thought
It helps when you aren’t really starting from scratch, he’s starting with a production company that has 15-20 M subs and 50+ employees. Not bashing the channel! But he’s not a guy in his moms basement with a camcorder like linus at the beginning of LTT.
@@ryanhamstra49 Linus is a warrior!
I feel like leaving an unattended backpack on a train maybe isn't the best idea for several reasons...
That’s what I thought 😬
Yeah, they shouldn't have done it, there are other ways to test AirTags out
They're Canadian, this definitely wouldn't go well in the US 😂
This was my immediate thought too, the hide/find (where someone keeps track of the location of the item) is far safer IMO
This action would have triggered some massive police action here in Northern Europe 😂
leave a backpack in Polish metro, at least 3 station will get closed due to bomb scare and if you come back for it, you'll be in serious trouble.
This is what brandon and andy has been dreaming of making for the past several years working on LMG: making cinematic contents
The concept and production are so well thought out!
...Except for the fact that they decided to leave an unattended backpack on public transport in the middle of a population zone, sure.
@@Oliver_Saer and?
@@39zack You must be young if you don't remember why that's a bad idea. Look up the 7/7 bombings.
@@Oliver_Saer I know, but I think Canada is not that much on their toes. Beside a camera person seems to keep an watch on it.
Great video
0:31 You do that in Paris, it goes on bomb threat throughout the city and the guy is in custody for attempted homicide
Tu fais ça à Paris ça part en alerte à la bombe dans toute la ville et le mec est en garde à vue pour tentative d'homicide
Lol, same here in London. Same would happen even if you put your bag on the seat next to you.
You do that in Brazil and you would find that Airtag alone in the bin, if the battery wasn't stollen.
@@MuitoDaora Yeah the battery would definitely be stolen xD
Yeah this brings really bad memories. Unattended bags in the metro is a bit no-no
@@MuitoDaora
That’s what I’ve been thinking since the announcement of AirTags. Those things are going to be some of the most stolen items of all time with how easy it is to remove the battery.
The Horst Power seat belt cushion is hilarious.
I get the joke, just wasn't expecting you to lay into it more than just your twitter handle 😂
They were a great gift from a friend!
@@macaddress Fair enough, love little personal gifts like that.
Keep up the great work with the channel, love the content so far :)
oh yes canada... the only place where you can leave a backpack in a train without arousing suspicion
Canadians are just to nice
Or not been taken and have it’s content or the bag itself went missing.
Or it just road the train - all day - until it got to the maintenance yard at night - no one took it!
Wow. If you leave a bag unattended like that in a train in Europe the EOD has immobilized the entire line for hours.
As a public transportation driver, I am surprised that no one checked this. I agree shit would have been shut down.
I am pretty sure they kept a person to actually keep an eye on it and inform the authorities what was going on
Do that at an airport and it makes the EOD look like they ignore all safety precautions.

I wonder how many people at LMG looked at this idea and said 'Yeah go ahead.'
In my city of Chicago, any backpack left behind on Chicago Transport Authority vehicles (bus, assistance vehicles, trains) is flagged and authorities are on site for bomb threats. We have posters saying to report anything of the sort immediately...maybe not the best idea
My local airport has a whole spiel about unattended luggage that goes off every 15 minutes or so.
Linus, probably: so does anyone want to explain why the Bomb Squad found an unattended backpack of prototype merch on a train?
Jonathan: it was for a video.
Madison (in the background): it's because your merch is da bomb (tssssssssss)
Damnit, this got me good. I adore Madison... She's added just the right amount of dumbfuckery LMG was missing. She's fantastic.
I didn't catch the joke ._.

So on the latest WAN Show Linus talked about some product they were making for LTTstore, which has a custom design and had to be molded.
And now Jonathan has a keyboard in his merch backpack. 🤔
You leaving the studio was so refreshing! I really liked the format. Also that you tested the AirTag in a practical way rather than just spew off its specs and testing in a very controlled environment. Kudos !
0:09 I live in the greater Vancouver area too and I haven't heard the SkyTrain sound in FOREVER! For me that was a nice callback to the pre-pandemic days
Wow! This seems like a great product for people who leave their house! You know, people that aren't me.
Well. He does suggest it might be good to put in his wallet. Since he’s always misplacing it.
I’ve done that. Something like that would be nice. Clearly it would be in my house by would help me k ow if it’s under the couch or in the hamper or whatever
@@ck5071 That was one of the advertised uses for Tile in one of their ads.
This was an unusually good review that covered several topics without you really noticing it.
Great job guys!
Wow big props to the team for this wonderful video. A mix of review and real life test with those smooth transitions and a very good script. Couldn't ask for more! Congrats !
this guy is a natural. it's like he was crated for this channel.
This channel is really underated, loved the intro
it's a new channel so it's understandable
It has almost 200k subs and it has only been around for three weeks.
Israeli eww
Jonathan over here making full real-world demos for products while Linus is still just dropping stuff... all the time. This is more like actual storytelling than just product reviews. Really well done.
2:55 Perfect number =D
LOVED the outdoor shots in the city, wish the main channel would do this as well once in a while!!
Now this is high quality production. 👌
From a longtime LTT viewer, seing such a drastic change in content is refreshing and gives a new perspective on Tech. Love it. I look forward to more.
Another great one, Jonathan! Just loving your sense of aesthetics for this channel!
Also, waiting for the video on the Mac-iPad hybrid!
You didn't explain if the air tag can be inside the bag or does it have to be on the outside? That's useful information because a thief can see it and just take it off the bag making it useless.
ya you can just just put it in a pocket, but i hink having it exposed also helps with people noticing that an airtag is there and will contact you directly.
I keep my tag inside my bag - no issues with locating from my phone or sending a signal to the tag to tell it to beep. I'd guess your only concern is if the bag somehow blocks Bluetooth/UWB signals.
you can chose where to put it. but it can be a hit or miss. putting it on the outside a thief could just remove it but a friendly finder could scan the nfc tag, on the inside no one will notice, but then also no one can scan the tag. id definitely put it on the inside
it’s not really an anti-theft device.
@@BLEKSIDE have two lol, one outside for people to scan or thieves to throw out, but have a secret one inside the bag as well lol
I genuinely love this more than expected
This is the most professional apple channel I know
Haven't used Apple products for 2 years and I don't know why I watched every single video of this channel
Extremely quality production. Love this channel so much already
It's because it's part of lmg
This channel has better production quality than the main haha
Watching this video makes me realize one more time how beautiful Vancouver is. Andy did an amazing job again!
I really appreciate how different this channel is from all of the other LMG channels. It's a wholly unique thing, and has a super bright future.
I'm not even a fan of Apple products, and have still enjoyed every single video so far. Keep it up!
Wow, the production value is incredible. I can’t wait for the next video.
This was actually really helpful, thank you! I‘ve been looking for some real world experience with losing stuff with airtags on them, but wasn‘t about to intentionally lose something i spent money on 😁
This is a great video. Love the fact that’s it’s a bit more active and outdoor instead of just in a studio. And interesting to see the aspects of the Airtags at work like this
Well done 👍
This is probably THE best review one could make of an airtag
Damn there was this calmness throughout the video. Ugh i love this guy
This has the feel of something like a vice documentary. Loving it
Really glad you guys started putting chapters into the videos so you can find the bits you're looking for a lot easier
This is so insanely well done and helpful why doesn't it have millions of views? Amazing content
'Let's leave a backpack unattended on a train to do a video!'
" I can make my backpack do beeping sounds"😂
In New York, that’s a good way to get the entire subway shutdown
Great video! AirTags seem great so far. Just really hope they add extra features like family wide sharing of tracking (so you can find your car easier in a car park or for pet tracking) and the ability to temporarily share a tag with someone else if you want to lend someone something. If they add family shared tracking, I'll order another 4 pack or more straight away.
Loving what this channel is turning out to be. Good job to all the team working on it!
Nice to see a video shot out of the studio! This was really nicely edited, I think maybe you're putting a little more effort into these than the main channel is, tbh.
Will you do your own review of the M1 iMac separate from LTT's review?
ltt will still do the full review, this channel is gonna be for more focused type stuff
That beeping is probably the killer feature for the airtag XD
I am coming into this already an LMG fan, but this is something else. it feels familiar like LMG, but also so different and the calm voice and style suit the apple products so well. I really hope this channel keeps up this great work. as it can be hard to find a decent "apple" channel without too much fanboy hype crap
The edit on this is fire!! The content too, the music too, everything!!!
My only issue with the AirTag is the inability to share locations with family members. It seems like an unnecessary restriction since we can share locations of our phones easily. I share a car with my wife, so tracking the keys we have would be really inconvenient if one of us wasn't home to help.
Oh boy do I have news for you!
Was waiting for this. Damn good production 👏
I love the cinematography of this channel. Such a departure from LTT single camera shots. Love it!
I love it’s the first Canadian thing he said 8:54. “ it’s so handy ey” ❤️❤️
Dude. Best production quality in LTT Media Group
You surely missed tons of LTT videos..
if it doesn't notify you until you reach your home and it's just giving away your home address to your stalker or someone. by the time you got notified it's already late
That’s better than Tile and others though lol
It’s because it still relatively new. The more airtags are bought and into the network. The better the system will work
What’s the alternative? Let the thief disable it before even reaching home?
Yeah, I don't like this concept too 😅
How much are you guys stalked in USA? It seems americans are fixed on the idea that they are being stalked.
I have two AirTags myself: one on my shoulder bag and one attached to my keys. I love that I can see where these items are located, track them, and get a notification on my iPhone when I leave them somewhere.
Honestly gave me a top gear/grand tour feel and I greatly appreciate this type of video!
Major stepup from previous videos.
Remarkable.
5:15 It just dawned on me that if someone was trying to track an android user, the person tracked wouldn't be notified since they don't have an apple product
Well that’s true for any tracking device, I don’t think there’s a way around that. At least it will start chiming after a few days .
Instead the tag will start to make a sound.
I really love the way you guys tested the product. I guess that's the most accurate way to test if a gadget like this works or not!
Love how you guys are showing off Vancouver, my hood!
In Europe this would trigger a bomb warning 😂
Same thing in most of the US. If law enforcement saw him leaving it they would have riffed him up immediately.
I wanna know which city this is, it looks so nice
LMG is based in Surrey, British Columbia. Not sure if that's where Jonathan was in the video though.
I think it’s Vancouver
5:40 says Marine Drive Station, so it's in Vancouver
from wikipedia: Marine Drive is an elevated station on the Canada Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system
Vancouver
I dont have any apple products, but this guy is perfect for the channel. Really informative and not annoying. Nice!
One of the best LTT videos I’ve seen in a long time. Great work Jonathan and the LTT team.
It’s good to see an actual real-world test of AirTags.
ooooh the editing job is just sooo delicious. not every feature film does it this well
I truly adore your production value, not only the ideas you are coming up with 😍
Keep up with those videos!
I always appriciate it, when a new video gets uploaded!
Vancouver's Bomb Squad detonated my backpack
Seems like you guys exposed a major security flaw in Vancouver's metro system.
So precise I can see it helpful when waiting for checked luggage at the airport - now you can wait comfortably at the end of the chain
Great cinematography Andy and awesome editing Hoffman.
Kind of sus to leave a backpack on a train...
Surely someone was sitting with it and then turned it in to lost and found.
How are you going to make such a high production video but not even explain if the tag can be tracked hidden inside of a bag or needs to be clipped on the outside?
Because there's no need to explain that. It will work inside. Bluetooth works through walls. This should be common sense by now.
Pretty clever airtag video. Showing the practical real world use and product explanations. Nicely done 👍
I don't like or even care about Apple products but I watch those videos just for the cinematic value, so good.
Err, you really didn’t leave the bag just like that in the subway right?
I really hope not
What were they thinking 🤔
@@filemot25 not really a major problem here, people just take it and give it to one of the skytrain workers and they'll take it to teh lost and found.
