Burford Fireworks Light Up the Sky

- The Fifth of November: One of the grandest of traditions each year is to set the sky ablaze. Occasionally, however, the fireworks can be a little diminutive. Not the case with the annual Burford firework display, run as it is by the fire brigade. A splendid time was had by all. Mulled wine on its first outing of the winter, live music, kids with dazzling toys that glowed in the dark and sparklers that enabled them to write their name in the air. Air a little less frosty than I remember it being. A milder than usual Autumn perhaps. Anyway, if you like to see sparkles and pops, here are sparkles and pops.
Those of us standing beneath this were liberally covered with ash. The brushing of ash out of the eyes is simply a part of the watching fireworks business. If you aren't brushing ash out of your eyes, the fireworks probably aren't up to much.

I am so happy to hear you enjoyed them. Everyone has their fireworks at different times. Some in Summer, some for new year, but in the UK, the fifth of November is the big firework night (although next Sunday there's the Hindu Diwali festival but that's a more recent import). I am so happy that you enjoyed the fireworks. It is a wonderful thing to share because everyone in the crowd was so happy. I know you have huge fireworks festivals in Korea, it is quite famous, but for us 5th November is the biggest night of the year for fireworks (much more so than New Year's Eve). I am glad you joined me for this.

Yes. The eyes are fine. True, I am still brushing them out of my coat but otherwise all fine and dandy. I filmed the bonfire as well but, sadly, bonfires, despite having myriad hues to the naked eye always come out looking white with an orange fringe on my camera. I'm sure there are cameras that can give flames their true colours but I suspect that, at present, they are out of my price range.

I don't know what type of cell phone you have, but "Samsung" has an expert raw application that will allow you to alter all of photographic settings. If you have an iPhone, it too would be allow you to adjust the photographic settings. It is something to play with. One of the keys, with night photography, is the use of a tripod. Unfortunately, we just weren't made to be that still. Have a great day.😊
@@purelysounds1 I use a go pro 11 which is an action camera not really made for night-time shooting. By messing about with the settings and using a gimbal, it comes close. as you can see here, but I will only shoot at night if there's something where the interest outweighs the limitations. All editing is done on computer.
@@jagoturner I think that this video turned out great. I always wondered what equipment you used for your videos. A gimbal is very helpful. Your videos are always stable, so I figured that you used one for your walking videos. Night photography is always fun. Have a great day.
