Word of advice on the windscreen install, get a guy who knows what they're doing with older cars and chrome surrounds. The regular dudes will put way too much bonding material in and slap the glass on, the glass will sit out too proud and the chrome wont hold properly or sit correctly, sometimes it even goes inside on that perfect front capping and glues it as well, not a fun thing. Trust me, been there done that. The double you bee is coming along nice mate, thanks for keeping us updated.
100 percent correct I had a windscreen shop fit mine . windscreen sitting way to far out , chrome surrounds sitting far to proud and looks shithouse. but can't go back now.
Yeah find someone online with pictures of jobs they’ve done. Also be realistic with the condition of your car and the chrome/ trim pieces. I love doing glass on older cars cause the end result is super rewarding. Unfortunately I’ve experienced a few unpleasant customers who didn’t like the fact I couldn’t reshape their bent and busted up chrome trims perfectly
Looking good, Aaron. I have placed my order for a set of tail lights. I was going to go down the same path as you have, but maybe with flat panel LEDS, but your price is good enough to make me want to save my efforts for other jobs. Like you, my WB is taking its time, so any shortcuts are worth taking.
@@chriselop9121 thanks Chris, just saw the order, there was only 1 unit added however? I did look into the LED panels but with the click connect adaptor I can make one for any popular LED globes now so you could get to it that way. Just need to know what LED globes would be preferred.
Thanks Aaron, My bad, I need a left and right tail light, I will fix my order when I get home tonight (could you please reserve me one?) I am looking to convert my WB to become an EV, so any globe that puts out enough light and reduces power consumption is good (and not melt the enclosure). What do you suggest? Chris
@ Hey Chris, there is no left and right on the tail light buckets so it’s just the one design for both sides. I can update your order to add another unit if you like?
@ as far as globes are concerned you can use the Narva Bay15d and Bay15s LED globes which will run cooler and use less energy than the old globes. The units are made of ABS GF so they can withstand the temps. www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/narva-narva-automotive-globes---performance-led-bayonet-12v-p21w-ba15s/582912.html
Hi Aaron, I know that there is no difference between left or right, I meant that if I only had one and put it on the left, I would need one for the right. I placed my order for the second tail light (the left one, obviously 😁). Hopefully, you can combine them into the one order (would suck to get them months apart). I will have to do a little research on which LEDS I will use. Thanks again for taking the time to develop this product. Once you are up and running with these, it may be worth approaching Rare Spares to see if they will stock them. They reach a bigger market. Chris
@@steedsy71 yeah absolutely with LED most likely give a more smoked lense look, I haven’t tried it but will have blanks as an option for those that want to either paint themselves or leave blank.
Your headling shouldn't be under the front screen there is a strip that screws onto the roof parallel with the screen that the headling bites into with a pinch that holds it in. Adrian is a gun I remember when he was an apprentice. Ute starting to come together now mate. Just watched more your all over it
you dont glue the material for the head lining to the oter edge of the roof on HQ to WB 's it fixes to the strip inside that edge it will cause issues fitting the windscreen you'll need to fix it before you fit the windscreen
Looking awesome Barnesy. Good save with the front of the head liner.
Cheers mate👍

Great job on the hoodlining. I dont think I could have tackled it. Not long now.
Cheers mate, yeah now that I know it’s not that hard really but it’s just the guess work that’s time consuming
Looks awesome mate well done carnt wait till she’s finished

I like the look of those rear lights without the chrome spray. Darkens the lens nicely, would they work without the chrome spray? maybe with LEDs

Yes - fix this before fitting the front windscreen
Yes I did fix at the end of the video
Does anyone know how to get the headrests off WB Statesman Deville front seats? I can’t get anywhere with mine. Jeff
So why is the roof lining vinyl and not material?
@@AdelaideInvigilation it is material backed vinyl, very strong.
Would you able to film when you put the handbrake assembly back in, I cannot for the life of me figure it out 😆
Ive already had a look at the hand brake and agree it looks fiddley but if I stare at it long enough I will figure it out so will film it.
