China southern are way ahead of the game when you compare the service ,seating space,and overall quilty for a very competetive price.i choose them over singapore airlines and british airways everytime
5:29 there are lots of movies on China Southern but sometimes the IFE is glitched or has no internet??? And only shows 10% of the selection. It happened to me but was fixed halfway through the flight
Thank you for clarifying! We thought it was a bit odd that there was a very small selection of Western/Hollywood-type films. But on hindsight, there was also something appropriate or refreshing about about the airline not having Western/Hollywood films dominate their playlist. 😉
Ours was aproximately three hours, but most of the time was spent at border patrol, quarentine station, etc. I'm sure by now you shouldn't have to worry about the quarantine aspect. Whatever the case, good luck with your transfer and enjoy your time in Vietnam!
It's a little tricky during the transfer. You just have to fill out a form they offer on-line via QR code with your name, country you flew from, passport number and a statement saying that you are, basically, COVID free. It was strange because they didn't need to see a QR code or any other proof. The only issue was that we didn't have internet coming through. So, when we used the airport internet, the form only showed up in Chinese on our phones! Eventually, as you saw in the video, an airport agent assisted us (and basically all the foreigners!) each time. Good luck, my friend! You'll have a blast!
hi how was the customer service on china southern. Was it good? Did you check in a bag? Last time I went through guanzghou in 2018, I got lost and the secuirty guards made me miss my flight. They changed a lot in GZ.
Hello! Customer service was outstanding! Not as good as China Airlines, but still pretty wonderful. And no, we did not check in any bags in fear of losing them during the transfer. To be honest, when traveling to a destination that we plan to stay at for a long duration, we never check bags. It's just a general rule of thumb for us. It keeps us stress free. a good call not getting the 13 dollar taxi that would only cover his cut the taxi driver would be in on the scam and the fare would be around 3 times what he quoted
Thanks! But to be quite frank, it was just a feeling we got. Because no matter what countries we've visited (including the USA), taxi drivers are always the shadiest characters. You just can't trust them! 😌
The man at 15:06 is a liar, there is always bus to get to Bến Thành market with bus number 152 (6000 vnd per ticket) or 109 (15k per one). He just wanted you to go by taxi with him, such a dodgy man. I'm a local in Saigon and I don't like it at all

Im doing london to vietnam soon but transfer in guangzhou, how long was your transfer time please? Im wondering if mine is long enough!
