    In Vietnam, if you get honk 50 times or more in the streets, just remember it's a daily life there

    Well, I'll just say this, I didn't lose anything in Viet Nam, I was also in Ho Chi Minh city (called Saigon when I was there), I think I'll just stay here in Austria, love it here! 😉 Thanks again guys, for a nice video as always.

    Hanoi; a long taxi ride in from the airport. Unless you can score the airport bus.
    Good to have a picture of your hotel as the taxi driver MAY accidentally take you to the wrong hotel as a way of inflating the fare.
    Hanoi is but freezing in winter.

    Great video guys! We give you SO MUCH credit for doing travel day videos - they aren't easy! We always have great intentions and then start the day and say "do you really want to do a video today?" 😂 Nice work!!

      We honestly love them because we can just film as we go without having to structure things. The story almost writes itself 99% of the time🤣 Hope you guys are enjoying all that Pad Thai in Chiang Mai & see y'all next week!!!!🍻

    What an amazing travel day. Very interesting to note, that they have cities just like the United States! They are big and modern! The world truly is a small place when you think about it we are so much in common. 🥂

      Which cities are like ones in the US? Planning a trip would like to know

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому

      I couldn't agree more!!! That's the biggest thing we want to get across in our videos. Places are so different from each other culturally, but people everywhere are more or less the same. As far as cities, Ho Chi Minh City has the skyscrapers/modern look that would feel somewhat familiar to a western city, but it's still very different. Hanoi feels much older/traditional so if you're looking for a city with an abundance of culture then that's the place for you! Either way you can't go wrong!

      @HelloOnepiece Рік тому

      @@MarlinAmada in terms of infrastructure I would say Da Nang, however thats a resort city, so there is nothing else to do besides beaches

    That's was a smooth travel, try AirAsia from Tokyo to Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh next time lol
    I travel a lot from Tokyo to Da Nang, the best way is a direct flight using Vietnam Airlines. Also use Grab as Taxi.

      We were so glad we chose to fly with you guys!! I know we said it in the video, but we’d seen bad reviews so maybe that set our expectations low initially. But to be completely honest with you, we LOVED our experience with Vietnam Airlines! It’s literally our favorite airline now😂 we definitely don’t LOVE the HCM City airport but that’s okay! The key is to just book directly to the final destination if it’s HCM City or Hanoi since you guys have direct service to both. Either way your airline is fabulous & we loved it!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!☺️

    Just found your channel. You guys have really fun personalities, and I look forward to watching more of your blogs. BTW, do you use standard Away carry on luggage? Have you found it easy for international airplanes. I think total dimensions for international carriers is 45 inches. I’m looking to downsize to carry on only for next trip.

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому

      We're so pumped you found our channel!!!! As far as our luggage, we use the Away Bigger Carry-on. From a strict size perspective, it's definitely over the size limit for carry-ons on just about every airline we've flown since we started full-time travel last year, but honestly we've only ever had one time where it was an issue (we flew Ryanair once from BGY & they checked the size so we had to pay extra). Granted, we've flown around 40 times with these & only ever had trouble once so it's worked out for us so far LOL. Most airlines honestly don't care that much (or at least the gate attendants don't). We have loved these bags & were so worth the investment!! Let us know if you have any other questions & thank you so much for watching our video!!!😊

    May I ask why you chose Hanoi over Ho Chi Minh city to visit firstly in Vietnam, though you reached to HCM as an intermedia stop. And Vietnam Airlines has direct flights from Tokyo to Hanoi, then why did book a transit flight as it took you more time to travel?

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому +1

      Hi!! Great question! So when we booked, we booked with Delta airlines miles. Delta is apart of the same airline alliance as Vietnam Airlines so they're able to sell tickets through their program. We were looking for the cheapest flights we could find to SE Asia from Tokyo, & the cheapest one was the flight to Hanoi via HCM. It would've made more sense to fly directly (and would have ABSOLUTELY been our preference), but that flight was 10,000 miles more expensive than the one we went with (which was 20,000 miles each). I wish I could give you an explanation as to why they're priced & offered that way, but I don't really know & honestly it doesn't really make a lot of sense to us. We just booked the cheapest flight to SE Asia that we possibly could. I hope this provides a bit more clarity, & thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!

    Why you didn't fly directly from Tokyo to Hanoi , instead of doing a stopover in HCMC then Hanoi . It was a waste of time and more tiring for you . BTW Vietnam Airlines is not too bad at all . The company you should avoid in VN is Vietjet Air .

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому +1

      The reason we booked this was because it was much cheaper than the direct flight. It wasn't the easiest travel day, but we will say Vietnam Airlines is EXTREMELY good. We really loved that airline & can't wait to fly with them again!! Thank you so much for watching!!

    Do you need a transit visa to transfer from terminal 2 to 1?

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому

      I’m not 100% sure but I would assume so since one terminal is for international flights and the other is domestic. You shouldn’t have too much issue with the change as long as there’s a bit of time between the two flights. Best of luck!

    • @ProbablyLost

    Ground operations are HORRIDNESS ! I’m looking at a flight from Sydney to Paris business class with VA, so much cheaper than other airlines, but I don’t think I can do the ground operations to tell you the truth 😱 It will save me around $3,000 Australian dollars through 🤔

    The moment I heard you got 2,5 hour transit at SGN I clenched my assholes XD
    But hey, it could have been worse, you could have transited the other way around (HAN to SGN ) which I would say is even worse (highly depends on the mood of the terminal transit bus driver)

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому +1

      That's hilarious!!🤣 It was certainly a learning moment. We've learned that anytime we fly somewhere down here, we need to do EVERYTHING we can to avoid a short layover lol. Won't be making that same mistake again!!!😅 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!!

  • @michaelfitzgerald8731

    Travel can be difficult, especially international flights with connections. Way too much complaining, constant complaining in this video! If you continue to travel, roll with the punches and accept that challenges will be many and often. Best of luck!

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Рік тому

      We definitely didn't mean to sound like we were complaining at all! It certainly wasn't the EASIEST travel day ever but it was honestly a great experience flying with Vietnam Airlines. I think the biggest issue we had was just not setting ourselves up for success by booking the tight turnaround on the layover, which is why we titled this video the way we did. We want to make sure other people don't make the same boneheaded mistake we did🤣 We try to never complain in our videos and roll with the punches as they come, so it's disappointing that we came off that way to you. Hopefully you're able to give a couple of our other videos a chance to change your mind. In any case, we really do appreciate you taking the time to watch our video & thank you very much for you well wishes!!
