i wonder if a rod modded intake or ported FAST intake and powerbond or ATI UD pulley would get it past the 500rwhp mark??? i know HP per dollar doesnt add up but still would it?
I always enjoy watching kyle work. I think it's cause i can relate mostly with him and his style of working on cars. Not to take anything away from the others. Everyone there does clean, excellent work.
Are you living under a rock? The EPA is hunting down tuners that turn off emission related codes. They aren’t going to put their business in jeopardy over a CEL
They have their place. Realistically no one 1/4 miles anymore and when you track you typically don’t go over 100mph. So these ratios are not bad at all. My Cammed ls3 vette with clutch and 390s ran mid 10s in the 1/4 even with that shitty 3-4 shift.
@@Motorsportsgeek 1-3 is too short especially when you start making big power. The rpm drop on 3-4 is too much and the 4-5 is even worse. The c5 z06 while having the same ratios 1-4, has a short 5th gear unlike the gs gear ratios which again is just too long . If I were to rank them it would go zr1>c6z>c5z>gs
@@PEGCITYBOMBER I'm not saying it's unusable, just an unusual choice imo. I understand the reasoning behind the short 1-3 I just think they would have done better leaving the gear ratios alone and making it more track friendly with shorter final drive. The reason for the ultra long 5th gear I can't understand tho
@@raebirch540 I don't know, shorter gears seem to make it more usable on the street at least. going 72MPH in 1st gear in a ZR1 must be fun on a big track but you might as well be a single gear cvt because you are doing the speed limit in 1st. With the shorter gearing, you can have more fun imo and theres still guys that go 3.90-4.10 gears with the c6z and standard gearing for more acceleration making them similarly geared to the GS/Z51
@@RaceProvenMotorsports well considering an agp twin turbo kit is 6500$ and i can install it myself yah id say 200 hp gain for 6k vs 60hp for 8 k is solid math .also what turbo kit do you know of that cost 40 thousand ?

RPM cams increase power like crazy... Mine pulls like a freight train
Freight trains are notoriously slow and slow to accelerate.
Anybody's cam can increase power like crazy, especially cams made by cam company's versus a shops brand.
Did you just install the cam? Or did the get the whole package to go with it?
@@MegaWhiteBeaner lol maybe we should start saying pulls like a Tesla Plaid with a big ass energizer battery lol

That grand sport looks good 👍
Exactly what I wanted. Just about to do headers so a cam isn’t that far away
I love the c6 z06 and zr1. That is a clean good looking grand sport though.
Any hints on the tuner you are speaking of, Would be nice to no who to stay away from/Get tune checked if already done by the hack.
id also like to know lol
@@statman4ever me too
500 rwhp on this C6 would be Perfection.
All you need in a solid streetcar!
Is that Nardi behind the camera?
What's on the bottom of that mirror?! Why does Stage 1 on LS3 include a cam, but Stage 2 on a ZL1 is intake/exhaust/tune?
Nice horsepower adder and beautiful car!
Sinister looking GS. Great power out of a Cam Only car.
Fran, looking at picking up a C6 Z06, what year(s) would you suggest I stay away from and which are more desirable?
They are all the same as far as engine really. 08+ had a 6060 trans. Then some interior changes etc in later years
What shop that is in a state close to RPM turns off all the codes?
i needs to know.....
What stage was this, and was this on e85 or 93?
Did you guys ever film the lifter failure in my buddy Chris's C6 Z06?
Very cool , good upgrade
Grand sports have 6060? Any vette after 2009 I thought came with a 6060
Yes
The Ngk tr6 plug in c6z package, what is the gap or are you using set .040?
30 is fine.
Thx
Did you guys just do a cam swap? Without the added stuff such as springs, pushrods, and etc
Of course we changed the other stuff needed.
@@RaceProvenMotorsports Okok thanks for the feedback
Fran. c6 grand sport or c7 z51? what's your choice.
Always go with the widebody cars
Do you guys upgrade the trunnions on the cam swap or is it not needed?
Not typically but we inspect the stock rockers and will if it’s needed
I sent BTR rockers with upgraded trunions with my car to just have them replaced with my stage III just because
Dam good pickup
Sounds like a CSP tune
Why do you say that?
Who’s recording? 😅
Another FAST car from NY
Hows he have so much oil pressure. My ls3 is waaaay less same mileage. Must have some heavy oil in it😂
Maybe aftermarket oil pump ?
Turns off the codes 🤦♂️ crazy people that calibrate cars improperly are still in business.
The average person wouldn’t know that everything is disabled unless it blows up with no lights on realistically.

Fuck
Grand sport gear ratios are wack I don't know what gm was thinking there
What is wack about them exactly? That's what the C5 Z06 had and my current Z51. Accelerates much faster than the long geared base

man idk if 60 hp is worth the price to do a cam id rather just twin turbo my ls3
Hahahaha. So 60 isn’t worth a cam so let’s spend 5X of that for a twin turbo kit? Thats some solid girl math there

I was wondering the same thing. I have the same mods on my 14 Camaro with a Texas Speed stage 2 kit and I only got 457 hp so it must be a 3 or 4 stage
