The only difference is she can't say that to TLC because there is no "tboz and the girls" or "chili and the girls", ect there was always just TLC. The cameras went equally on all three of them, they all genuinely loved each other, and when one got kicked out of the group the other two were not okay with it and fought for her to stay. On top of that they didn't go to school with each other or know each other before the group, or anything they just became close. I'm sorry I like Beyonce's music and I loved destiny's child but anybody who can't see that destiny's child is a made-up thing for Beyonce to become a super star, is crazy. En Vogue got no lead because all of them sang lead, and that made it a special, classic band. TLC got no lead because the each of them had a role. The fact is that Destiny's Child was built around Beyoncé, they followed the example of The Supremes.
Um yes they typically do. U may not be able to tell all the time but every group zone in on one persons vocals. Using them more for backgrounds, adlibs..even if 5 members like the backstreet boys. Even though 3 sang, Brians tone and vocals were the main sound of them. Same for beyonce!

It took Kelly longer to find her sound individually and to discover herself. Plus in the interim between Survivor and Destiny Fulfilled she was in an abusive relationship. So that effected her ability to come into her own as an artist as well.
Michelle was always on the path of being a gospel artist. That's where her heart was and still is. She's very successful in that genre but you don't hear about gospel artists in the mainstream unless it's an award show, drama, or an appearance in a show or movie.
