The music industry has been established long enough for us to know how this story usually plays out. Tamar Davis (from the Tyler Perry plays) was originally the lead, she left, Matthew brought Beyonce to the group, Andretta got sick and passed and Matthew swooped in and took over the group placing Beyonce as lead. So it was all set up to uplift Beyonce. And I hate when they say the other girls didn't have drive or tenacity. They all learned the same choreography, did the same training boot camps traveled to different cities at the same time and were present for the same interviews and performances. You can tell Beyoncé was genuinely excited about their solo projects, and you can tell Kelly and Michelle don’t speak out of respect, not fear. These girls set an amazing example. The group did not start from Beyonce and her parents the group was formed years ago by Andretta Tillman and Beyonce wasnt even apart of it let alone the lead singer. Tamar Davis (from the Tyler Perry plays) was originally the lead, she left, Matthew brought Beyonce to the group, Andretta got sick and passed and Matthew swooped in and took over the group placing Beyonce as lead. So it was all set up to uplift Beyonce. And I hate when they say the other girls didn't have drive or tenacity. They all learned the same choreography, did the same training boot camps traveled to different cities at the same time and were present for the same interviews and performances. If everyone was so lazy in comparison to Bey then she would have been a straight up solo singer out the gate
