When a team competes at the highest levels of endurance racing for over 20 years, they experience great success, such as back-to-back championships. Corvette Racing has dominated GT endurance racing for so long that the only way to go is forward and repeat. The father of the Corvette, Zora Arkus-Duntov, believed that a sports car had to prove itself on the track before hitting the road. This heritage lives on in the 8th-generation Corvette. For 25 years, Corvette owners and fans have supported the Corvette Racing team, which has won 9 LeMans 24-hour class titles, 10 American LeMans Series titles, and 5 IMSA championships. They are the most successful American team, renowned for their dedication to excellence, teamwork, innovation, and all the above, dependability.

The C6.R was an absolute monster. The Nascar at Le Mans this year reminded me of it in terms of sound.
Now that sound is back with the new Mustang GTD.
Man, do those "Speedvision" logos bring back some great memories. I wish that channel still existed.
I love my z52 c6 it still feels like it out classes so much for the price
It's been a huge year for Corvette Racing. Dominant season in 2023 for the Corvette C8.R, biggest margin of points in WEC history and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Also on October 18, 2023, the Corvette C5-R was entered into the IMSA Hall of Fame💛💛🥇🥇
Man!! You're on it!! Awesome!! 🙌 🙌
Cant wait to see the C8 GT3.R in next years 6 hours of Sao Paulo. Awesome vid Chris, keep em coming
This new one is definitely better than the original. And love the Forza Motorsport 6 Music🥇🥇🥇
The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans Champion, and I'm planning on getting a C5 Z06 in 2024.💛💛🥇🥇
I really liked this man thank you
The sound of the C6.R is vicious!!!!
A real shame that Corvette's stopped being made in 2019 with the C7. I wonder what they would be like if they had remained in production.
Not trying to be that entitled subscriber but can't we get a fly lizard doc. love the videos
Better than original
Good job! I have a C5Z and love it!
Fun fact, to build the new Mid engined Vet the team took apart a Ferrari 458 car and Engine
I got the Diecast version of the C5.R
Can you do one for Ferrari GT/GTE History
Such a silly flat-plane goober, the C8. R. Boy imagine the 9th gen. of the Corvette in the later times, heck, imagine the 10th gen even
The saddest thing is, the FIA and regulators continually knocking off their engine capacity and I suspect from political powers above for perceived EPA reasons. A 2 valve V8 engine in a Vette must be pretty embarrassing for the like of Ferrari, BMW, Porsche etc to swallow when the are running the latest tech everything, turbos etc and that NA V8 Vette just walks on by.
I have a friend who is modern tech everything, he hates 2 valve V8 engines, but I always say, it is lightweight, small packaging, fits better than an inline 6 and is reliable, what else do you need?
Meanwhile he will criticise an LS3 even though it is 183kgs, but he is in love with Nissan RB Skylines, but the average RB engine inline 6 is 270kgs, why the hell would you want that ?
The new Vette should not have kept the Corvette name IMO, but I can why they did what they did. The new engine is not really any better than the old, it has more power by around 30%, but it has lost 30% of the torque, the best difference is the mid engine layout in terms of performance. C7R was my favourite and the LT4 Z06 C7 road car, what a beast.
