  • ~TODAY'S VID:
    In today's video, I am showing you how I make my coconut-soy candles! I am also getting inventory ready for my Winter Collection. After being curious, I purchased some coconut-soy wax and started playing around for while; doing some testing...and I decided to make the switch! I now use this wax for my candle line. Enjoy 😊
    P.S. I do keep a log of video ideas and suggestions, so more videos down the pipe. Thank you so much the support, feedback, recommendations, comments, and encouragement!

    Hi Paris! My favorite 2 new scents for this year are Peppermint and cocoa shavings (Wooden Wick Co.) and Silver Sparkles (Bramble Berry). Both are beautiful! I love Frosted Fraizer Fir and Pralines and Carmel + Sugared Vanilla, a blend I created last year, and Christmas Memories, which is a classic! Those are my favorites this year! I have a total of 8 Holiday scents this year. I'm glad you found a soy/coconut blend to work with. Isn't it so much easier than regular soy! I also use a soy/coconut blend for my regular line. I use an Apricot Coconut blend for my luxury line. I hope you've had a successful 2020! Personally I can't wait for 2021 to get here! I'm looking forward to Covid-19 being behind us and a bit of normal to return. Happy Holidays! Jill Gross

      @@LadyCIMONNECandleCo Well I see where I been messing up on one thing... I have tins that hold 6oz of wax and instead of doing 5 oz of wax and then adding my oz of FO, it explains why I have left over wax. Also im going to try this method. I have made 2 candles with the temps of: Heat 185-FO-165- Pour- 135 and also Heat 190-200 FO-200-Pour 180. These were recommended in a group because I wasnt sure when to add FO and pour for a good hot throw. Thank you so much for this.

    Hi Paris! Well to start I have been testing my candles for the past 2 months. I have been trying different wicks but still getting bubbles around the wick. What is the best wick to use and from where? Also I have been heating up the jars to make sure to the pour comes out better. Do you think its my temperature pour? By the way I love your videos.

    • @LadyCIMONNECandleCo
      @LadyCIMONNECandleCo  3 роки тому +1

      Wicks are based on jar size, wax and how much oil you so I can’t really tell you what is the best wick to use because they all are Duffy and there are so many. But bubbles typically are not due to wick. Check out my troubleshooting video and my guide to help! But in the meantime, just use a heat gun to smooth out the tops 🙂

    How precise does your pour temp need to be? It seemed like you were allowing it to rest on the counter for a bit before adding fragrance and then stirred for a couple minutes. I’m always feeling like I need to rush to keep the temperature times within a certain window. Now I’m thinking I may not be giving my FO enough time to combine.

      Sometimes it takes going over the candles multiple times using a heat gun. Natural wax is tricky so you have to have patience and troubleshoot.

      Last weeks video, I discussed this topic and some things you can do to help! But regardless, with soy you are not going to pack a strong hot throw due to the nature of the wax.👍🏽

    Do you always get smooth tops with this wax or do you still have to go over it with a heat gun?

    Does the wick matter that we use? I started with a whole bunch of wicks I got but it was from marketplace and I don’t know what kind it is :( I would really like to use them though (it’s a lot)

    So I use 1116 grams of wax..six 9oz straight sided jars..so I'm still getting use to figuring out the FO math..so I did 10 percent and came up with 111.6 rounded to 112grams..did I do it right..🤔🤔

    Hi Paris. Does the coconut wax smell like coconut? If yes does it throw off the scents you use?
