    I heard the emotion in your voice near the end of the vid. Thank you for sharing.
    I am taking care of an older chihuahua and while she doesn't yet refuse all walks, I'm thinking a hydrotherapy bath experience for 30 minutes wouldnt be a bad idea.

      Oh yeah it can definitely help, try it! You won't see results right away but after a few times your dog will love going in the water if you use some treats to make it a fun experience for them. My doggo now loves being the water.

    This is an ingenious idea! You mentioned you had been using a spa with your dog, can you tell me what that is? My sister has a very small dog and has injured her back (slipped disc) from jumping.
    We’ve been trying to come up with a way to help her get stronger.

    • @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE

      Keep the water warm not too cold, maybe around 85 degrees for start and water not too high or low but supports their body so they can stand with water as support.

    My dog nova has a ligament issue that she's had since she was a little puppy she's 3 years old now but it seems that the occasional pain med helps she doesn't need it so much lately seems the older she gets the more her leg that she has a problem with is starting set in place...but I'm going to try this see if it helps strengthen your leg thanks for advice max...hope it continues to work for bowie 😁

    • @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE

      Yes does wonders for their legs, water helps them gain muscles without the strain of gravity plus it gives him a nice bath, they get tired and hungry afterwards which is good so they get some exercise.

    We just started water therapy on our dog but she doesn't move her hind legs. We've been taking her for laser therapy to vet for 3 weeks but it's not working either. We know she has feeling in hind legs but she's not wanting to move them. Any advice?

    • @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE
      @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE  2 роки тому +1

      We took our dog to the best rehab center in bay area, they showed us crawling exercises. Basically get tiny treats and let the dog sorta try to grab it and they can build up the muscles in the hind legs. But dont let them come all the way up until they are much stronger. Do this 10min, 3 times per day. It took me maybe 5 months of doing this until one dah my dog got up by herself suddenly. Also as your dog gets stronger they will be able to follow a track of treats by crawling. I will upload some videos how we did it with our dog right meow.
