How soon after surgery can these exercises be done? My dog had his surgery to relieve the pressure about a week ago and I see no movement on his hind legs. I don’t know if we should be doing these exercises in between, we have a follow up appointment with the surgeon this weekend. I would to know if I should be doing. The surgeon who performed the surgery told me that it just depends on my dog and how he feels. I don’t want to push him into something he is not comfortable with.

I love this, so well explained. It helps to understand why and how doing this properly is helpful. Are this exercises something that could help a dog with DM or IVDD no surgery? Thx

Hi there, thank you for the support!
It would depend on the dogs condition and if there are any other underlining issues. We would recommend talking to your vet or canine physio before doing theses exercises. Good luck on your journey

I have a frenchie who got surgery IVDD on Saturday. He had type II and III. Before surgery he could stand up and walk. After surgery no...how many times in a day we have to do these exercises in order to have more control on his back legs? Thank you. Our doctor told us that this is normal, im afraid 😢

To try give him the best chance aim for 4-5 times a day. Short sessions, but frequent to try stimulate the nerves. Good luck ☘️
