even i flinched on the first hit, lol. nothing better than a surface hit from a MC. river looks in top condition as well mate, has it been awhile. nice sesh Jakko.
That's awesome action. I live in Victoria and will probably only fish the Broken River and Ovens River I bought my first surface lure last week. Dawn and dusk are best times for surface ye? Cheers 👍🤠
Haha fkn you know it bro. Sad world we live in these days... Imagine cockies back in the 80's having to use pink set lines just to keep the poachers away!
Hey lad new to bait casting is a 6’6” tatula good enough for surface lures and spinners for bank fishing along the Murray any advice would greatly be appreciated 👍
Hey mate yep would definitely be fine. Walking the banks a rod of the length is probably better as it’s easier to cast in tight country. If you want longer cast then maybe look at a rod with a little more length
River looks so good and that 1st hit was a heart starter!
So good mate! That’s stunning country you’re hitting, the mix of topwater busts and birds was epic
The way you handle and release those fish shows the respect you have for em eh. First class

Yea mate early mornings and late arvos are the best times for sure
The good thing about having a tutula with pink handles is you know no one is gonna try and knock it off if you leave it laying around
Haha fkn you know it bro. Sad world we live in these days... Imagine cockies back in the 80's having to use pink set lines just to keep the poachers away!
