Now as an adult, do you run around trying all the interesting stuff you missed out on as a kid? I was very picky as a kid as well and now I'm all over the place.
Lot of ignorant people coming back on this video just to talk bad about Mr. Bourdain. People that say it was selfish of him to do what he did have no idea what the man was going through.
- raising kid wrong (the topic of the discussion) - kid shouldn't be drinking wine - sending wine back on basis of taste (it is to satisfy you that it has been corked properly and isn't spoiled or full of cork fragments) I don't know the fourth reason, I think that's the joke.
I discovered sushi when I was 10 yo and I loved it. My friends at school didnt understand it. I wanted to eat it every week and since then its been like that
I got an idea!: You take your pants down and sit on the toilet so you can poop but make sure your legs are wide spread, and while you do it, this other guy stands in front of you also taking his pants down and pees aiming through your crotch gap...pretty cool uh..this way you can be friends forever
My problem growing up, actually, was that I was the child of a really picky eater and even as a child I had a VERY adventurous palate. It's just who I was. Mine and my parents' taste in food clashes powerfully to this day. So, while I craved wild and diverse flavors, I was served crap like frozen lasagna and pepperoni pizza (those were our special Sunday night meals but during the week, well... there were literally years of my life where I ended up just living on broccoli. My mom cared a lot about nutrition but if she had her way all she would ever cook me for a main dish would be things like pasta, oatmeal, grilled cheese. She hates meat, hates seafood meat even more, doesn't care for well spiced foods, and kinda just lives off cheese, bread, and sometimes eggs with fruits and veggies thrown in for health. So she basically just let me eat broccoli and apples and bananas most of my life because to me they had the richest flavor of all the stuff she offered. What life altering days when I finally got to taste seafood, Indian food, Japanese, Thai, middle eastern. I almost felt like a child of neglect lol
I understand, though. It's somewhat normal for children to be sensitive about food because everything in the world is still a new, evolving experience. Something too unusual can feel jarring, and they have an evolutionary sense to avoid anything questionable. But the thing is I tried to introduce my son to a wide variety of flavors and textures as soon as he was ready to eat and interested in food. He loved it at first but then quickly became a super picky eater. He refuses to eat animals out of love for them, which I don't mind really, but I'm disappointed that my effort in the beginning did nothing. Instead, somewhat like me, he eats more fruits and vegetables than other things. His other options are eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, cheese, pasta, lots of nuts, with some unusual things like nori thrown in, etc. So basically it's my childhood in total reverse. I guess it skipped a generation LOL
I love and miss Anthony but every time I remember he had a kid I get SO angry that he killed himself. That option is off the table if you have a child.
stingray427man Divorce are tought for couples who had heavily invested their time and emotions on hoping everything will work out. Look at people from the West especially their celebrities, they get married many times...you can already see their personalities by that...
Expose kids to all kinds of foods and let them experience things and don't shame or pressure them. Don't make such a big deal out of what they're eating or not eating, just make sure you're not feeding them junk all day and that there's reasonable structure. The games that parents play with food, using it as punishment or reward, shaming kids for the amount they're eating, etc., is all so harmful and unnecessary.
My first thought "Anthony's kinda red" was immediately followed by "Yay Anthony and Conan!" Why do people only write their 1st thoughts? Is it to have something to write? Is his face more important than his story?
My first thought was "yay Anthony and conan!", And was followed by "why is he red?" Why do people only write their 1st thoughts? I have no idea. But how do you know what's other people's 1st thoughts?
Why must we believe in something after death? Why is considering death a finale so horrifying to people? Tell me what was going on with you before you were born? Exactly. You don’t remember if anything and most people don’t recall much before the age of 4 or 5 with few exceptions. I’m grateful for videography so that I can watch Anthony Bourdains past recordings.
It's all about context. You can buy cheap sushi at the grocery store or convenience store in Japan, obviously very approachable and affordable for average or lower-class Japanese. I think it's just treated as 'fancy food' because people see that they can trick customers in to paying high prices through branding it that way even though their work isn't all that. Of course there is expensive, high-quality sushi in Japan, but it's much better than the over-priced stuff that passes for quality in most Western countries. If you get a chance you should try some authentic, no-frills sushi. It's quite nice.
My son wasn't raised "foodie" but always wanted to try everything. He has been on a quest to find the perfect French onion soup for the last 10 years and he's 17. :)
This is the truth. We eat very clean & organic, the kids grew up knowing quality. Now on college campus my kid has become a vegetarian because all the meats scare her, there's nothing quality on the meal plan. When she comes home she's asked for grass-fed steak & marrow...guess what we're having for Thanksgiving.
1:06. I am lucky. My granddaughter was eating hot sauce and raw onions at two years old. She is now twelve. Last summer I got her to eat boudin and she loved it.

Foolish Idea about Noah's Ark because if that was true we are long overdue. The world is full ov evil. And if that was true that means a so called loving killed innocent people.Men women and children..
Got a short "kid foodie" story, based on first-hand experience. When I waited tables, I had a table where a 5 year old ordered a Medium/Rare Burger topped w/ Bleu Cheese and a glass of Diet Coke. HE ordered it. Not his parents... the kid ordered that. I looked to his parents, for approval, and they just shrugged their shoulders in confusion and tried to hide the fear they felt from stark realization that they were raising a future serial killer. The tension was palpable... but overall a great table! Tipped well.
It never gets any easier seeing old clips of Anthony. RIP brother.

HongKongPhooey89 definitely agree
who is the rest?
Can we all agree that he definitely had a conversation with some parent about little Hunter and it pissed him off.
Reverse psychology. I never thought about doing that with food. Damn. I feel like an idiot now lol.
Foolish me to fall in love with this man after he died.
Man ...Conan is really quick with the clever quips. Miss you Mr Bourdain. RIP
Missed him out of nowhere so I came here
I love his viewpoint on this.
Didn’t know that he left a daughter behind.
It’s sad that he’s gone. I hope that he’s in a better spiritual place now.
Miss him so much.
Lot of ignorant people coming back on this video just to talk bad about Mr. Bourdain. People that say it was selfish of him to do what he did have no idea what the man was going through.
Agreed. People who have never experienced severe depression simply cannot understand.
Maybe he just didn't kill himself?

😢😔 he left a little girl behind
“A kid who tastes the wine and sends it back. No wait, that’s wrong for four reasons.”
Would love to know what those reasons are.
I'll give the first he's a kid.
@slightlydepressedpineapple third, he's a kid.
- raising kid wrong (the topic of the discussion)
- kid shouldn't be drinking wine
- sending wine back on basis of taste (it is to satisfy you that it has been corked properly and isn't spoiled or full of cork fragments)
