I did this for lots of local car dealerships in my area (NE Ohio) Painting Cobras on the Ford Cobras was fun!! Their windows on holiday etc. Leather, loaded etc etc Great job. I’m a retired artist now. Chrome yellow and red was a real attention grabber. I used 1shot! Keep it up!!!!
Good mentality. getting down the basics, the uniformity, and adding your own little flourishes. You should hit the bricks in your area. I'm sure they could use an artist like you out there
1. Nice Work. 2. I've been painting windshields for 20 yrs using Dayglo oil paints. Over years have had "ghost" issues pop up. But recently gotten worse. I've tried everything to no avail to remove them. So I'm exploring paint options. I tried Dayglo water in past and it flaked off in rain. what paint are you using?
@@derekmcdonald3029 I've tried rainex, anti fog, rubbing compounds, bar keepers friend etc etc you name it. Lol Recently heard Griots Glass Polish. But haven't tried yet.
@@attackfalcon Thanks for the reply. WOW, really? I've never had any luck with rich art or or anything other than flat oil based enamel, such as 1 shots, DayGlo, Ronan adhering to glass & withstanding the lot guy washing them. Now that they don't make Rich art anymore. What are you using now? Shawna
My paint of choice had been “rich art window paint” but it was discontinued. Now I’m using Alpha 6 acrylics , not as opaque, but do the job for windshields. As far as pricing, it’s generally like $10 per window, but depending on how often, or if they only want a few for an event, I just charge accordingly for my time
We still get to do it on occasion, no where near the amount we did years ago tho. Auto Industry has changed so much and inventory shortages have really effected what they are willing to spend on this type of marketing.
@@OliverSignsHandPaintingandmore that's very true about the shortage! Still glad to see you out there killin it where you can, love the art and its super inspiring. I've always wanted to learn hand styles and painting. Thanks for your videos!

Oliver what kind of brushes do you use?
looks like maybe a nocturna flat
Sable brushes are considered the best - as they hold more paint.
A good sign writer could probably use a cheap brush.
Why do they only use purple and white?
White is the most visible on dark windows - Purple is used for the accent or highlight.
Is that tempra?
What paint is used? And, how is it removed?
