I had the same exact experience in line. Everyone talking about how they are going to scalp these amazing things. I was trying to talk about the games with people in line, but it was obvious they were bullshitting their way through the conversation and were just trying to be nice. The SNES classic is a god send, these games are timeless. It was totally worth waiting 5 hours in line.
This is how people defeat scalpers.
*Don't buy from them.*
Z Man7 Ideally, yes. In reality though, that's not gonna happen.
True, but actually Porsche did better: they manufactured a "last of its kind" MT 911, which scalpers bought it to make money, but later they changed their minds and produced another MT, crashing the scalped 911s value.
And the best: when the scalpers complained to Porsche about their money loss, he told them off saying "Our cars are meant to be driven. Porsche is an automaker not a hedge fund."
No, you manufacture a shitload of units and ship them the fuck out.
Z Man7 I was able to get three of them. Kept one for myself, and made a great profit on the other two. It was GLORIOUS.
It's that easy? I always figured shotguns...
Mario All-Stars would have been an A+ addition.
Yea but I have the mini nintendo system
Honestly ridiculous it isn't on it, I'm sure it could have fit. I 100% expected it to be on there, besides that the snes classic is pretty solid
Mine has it
Just mod it . Definitely worth it
Mario All Stars or killer Instinct would have been a nice edition
“Hakchi! Ugh. I must get this cough under control. Hakchi! Hakchi!”
"I'm standing outside target at 6 in the morning" just answered my pending question 'why does Ryan look like he wants to murder someone?'
I'm going out to see if I can get one.
If I don't get one, too bad for me, it won't make me want to murder someone.
Probably with a cold he sounds like he has a cold...
Chris Gower I thought he jus looked super stoned lol!
hahaha
Heh thats why I went and bought a new 2ds xl today I rather use the digital copy of the snes titles on it.
Don't get me wrong I like that snes console alot but the limited amount games on it and you can't add on any without modding it ?
O_o I rather keep my 99.00 dollars
Leaving out Chrono Trigger is criminal
Play it on PlayStation.
The DS version is the best one. Load times of the snes and cinematics of the playstation, Plus bonus dungeons and an extra ending. That being said, I would still want it on the snes classic.
It really isn't lmao
@@scribeofsolace how?
I had the same experience when I was in line as well; everyone talking about how they were going to resell them rather than play them. Very frustrating.
This & the NES Classic are both amazing, I own both.
is there online multiplayer?

@@ProWrestlingFan1995 :(
You and me both dude. I love you're avatar by the way
I Only Have The NES and Sega Genesis
My local Best Buy literally had about 100 in stock and was selling only one to each person. Nobody even had to run to the register or anything once the doors opened. It was very refreshing, all thanks to the way Best Buy handled it.
Potions & Food Dealer
Same with my local Target. They had 53 units and everything was done professionally so nobody had to run to the counters to get one either.
They deserve a firm handshake for that.
I also had that experience. Smooth purchase from best buy.
I had lost all respect for best buy and only went there for mine out of pure randomness. I absolutely enjoyed how respectable and professional everything went. Hopefully the next supply of nes classics goes as smoothly as I missed out on that completely.
Anakin Crywalker i had the same easy going experience when i picked up mine up. Its just that i bought the last one from walmart.
You two looks like you haven't showered or slept for the past 5 days just to get one of this thing lol
ZeVio74 HAHAHAHAHA!!! I was thinking the same thing!
the struggle is real
That’s some hard lighting lol
*looks at Mike and Ryan* "Cocaine is a hellava drug"
techx154 but you can't stay that angry for all this time with out it!
Marvin The Martian *without
They look baked to me.
Either cocaine or fruit gushers you pick
they look like ghouls!
Smart tip:
If your TV has an USB connector, this will power your SNES mini. No need to buy an AC plug!
Hermann Goering Not everywhere it doesn't. I believe the US does, yeah? But here in UK and other regions you just get the cable. I actually power mine off my TV USB socket.
Yeah I use the USB port on my cable box and it powers it fine. It came with an adapter but much more convenient.
@@Ponaru hey, don't be that offensive, what have they done to you. BTW I am not European .
@@Ponaru what the fuck is your problem with Europe?? Asshole
@@Ponaru Please tell me you are a troll
Ryan looks like he hasn't slept in 78 hours
Chrono Trigger is the most glaring omission. That game deserves every last bit of praise it gets. If you haven't played it, you're missing out on something amazing. I also don't understand why the other two games in the Donkey Kong Country trilogy were excluded. They were better than their predecessor in nearly every way, ranking among some of the best 2D platformers ever made.
2:20 I'm here on pure nostalgia fuel. The message has not been lost completely. And Super Metroid is one of the best games ever.
I would have like to see Mortal Kombat 2, NBA Jams TE and Madden 96. Along with Turtles in Time.
They have a Sega version with Mortal combat 1,2&3. It’s sold at Walgreens and dollar general for $40 and it comes with 81 games.
Defiantly turtles in time. Maybe terminator and power rangers too.
Dallas Cowboys fan 1980 also not sure if this was an arcade release only or a home counsel as well but, sunset riders.
TMNT is the top title on the console
it's a same they didn't make a online coop mode for street fighter and other games
The reason Turtles In Time isn't included is because KONAMI doesn't own the TMNT license anymore which makes it impossible for Nintendo to license that game from them. And I still think it's a crime that Zombies Ate My Neighbors wasn't included on the SNES Classic Edition!
Scott Wozniak love that game.
It's a great game but it's not as popular as the rest of the games on there and wasn't snes exclusive
Scott Wozniak
Agreed... Great game! Just not as popular as we would like. 😉
Fuck zombies ate my neighbors. We needed Chrono Trigger damnit!!
:0 you uncultured swine!!!! How dare you!!!
What they should have done. was make a miniature SNES with a cartridge slot, and have it come with a miniature SNES cartridge. The cartridge coulda contained the collection and then they could have released future collections as just cartridges so they have like SNES CE vol.2 and then even do what you were talking about and have another cartridge for Gameboy games.
Or why not make the classics just big enough to accept original cartridges, as well as having a select amount of games pre-loaded? Or would that cut into their virtual-store sales? XD
The Bugman Cometh I like the idea as a customer, but that doesn't make Nintendo any money off that model... unless they start making carts again. They could, but with a healthy aftermarket, there wouldn't be enough profits.
Better yet, why not just have each classic game collection as a single cartridge for the Switch? On-the-go is the perfect platform for retro games.
This would have added costs to manufacturing
@@Pelladhros Agreed 💯👍
The fact they don't rerelease this every holiday season is crazy imo.
They want you to buy the online service for switch
Rip talk about games
I was able to mod mine and I now have pretty much all of the snes library in this thing I love it
You should create a guide on how
How did you do that o.o

It's frustrating to hear that people line up for these just to resell them. I've been playing games all my life and love them, so I think it's sad that people aren't hype to experience all these great games or buy them for their kids so they can experience them.
I don’t blame them. It’s business.
I hate how difficult it is to get one of these damn things. Really takes the fun out of it.
I got 2 it was fun.
Wasn't that hard for me to get. Most places had plenty of units. They're gone now, but generally if you showed up this morning you got one.
E-M-U-L-A-T-E
I got lucky on getting mine, got to best buy just as they were opening and they were handing out tickets to people as they walked in that wanted one, I was 45th in line and it looked like they had a lot more to go.
Really? I live in no where Iowa and my local stores got 40+ units
I honestly had a different experience in the line I was in that you guys did. Almost everyone I talked to was just so hyped to be playing these games again, we were reminiscing about the old days playing them, it was a really positive and fun experience.
I had no problem walking into my Walmart and getting the SNES Mini and the NES classic. I understand that the NES classic was a re-release, but I was patient got them both.
Yeah, same here. There's still a few of these things sitting at my local Best Buy shelf. I'm so glad I waited. It was worth it.
Exercise self control and don't buy from scalpers. Instead download an emulator!
Just give me the N64 Mini.
ReboyGTR be at least a couple more years
UnlicensedOkie I doubt it because Nintendo bought a trademark or something on the n64 recently
why?
I have a hard time thinking of 10 good N64 games, let alone 20...
There’s no way they’d put more than 20 games on it. And that would be tough to find 20 games that aren’t made by Rare.
Just ordered my mini this morning..
I'm 46,,and I've never played any Zelda games..or final fantasy...
I'm geeked. Can't wait ..3 days till it arrives. Feel like a kid at Christmas time
Have you played the Zelda games!? How was it??
I love this system. Not only do I greatly enjoy these classic games, that sucked up so much of my childhood, but I can share the wonderment with my kids. Great buy, most definitely.
Theg Should have made a working cartridge slot with an SD Card Reader, released a Compilation cartridge occasionally with several games loaded on an SD Card, they could have done so much more with the Mini Consoles, imagine a little Mini Cartridge with some games loaded on them!
This is why there is absolutely NO problem playing Nintendo ROM'S
Exactly. Plus you can play hacks.
Or for people who prefer to have an authentic Nintendo experience. Don't be arrogant shits.
So, to recap: emulators for people with a brain - Classic for normies
imbecilik Hell yeah!
I live in Europe and yesterday I bought one for 90€...nintendo at least in europe did it right...btw it's awesome totally worth it
dimitris Bam how many games installed in the system?
I am gonna get that . I know I'm late to the party but this is a must !! Thanks so much !! ☺😄
Scalpers won out big in my area again. Facebook marketplace is flooded with $250 listing.
DiGiTyDarKMaN sucks man fuck scalpers
Yeah I loved all the people who were taking pictures with 10+ systems selling them for $200 a piece.
I feel your pain
zeezo69x Exactly. People empower them by paying their prices. People shouls hack a Wii or build an emulator machine.
+Jeremy Seal Why not just download some roms and an emulator exe?
Fuck me guys. U both look ready for Halloween
Lee Ferguson Dedication to the craft. Takes guts kid
This made me lol
OB1 excellent!
It would be cool if SEGA could release an official little classic console like this one. I love the SNES, mine is still working, and I just bought the SNES classic, but I never played SEGA so much so it would be nice to have a mini official version.
Even it would be very funny if Nintendo could help them to do this possible.....
They did. SEGA doesn't make hardware anymore, so they licensed it out to a company called ATGames. It comes with 80 games, but that is kind of deceptive. Of those 80 games, only 40 of them are games that were actually released for the SEGA Genesis. The other 40 games are games that were made specifically to be bundled with this console. Most of the non-Genesis games are really simple puzzle games like you would have found on one of those 100+ PC Games CDs from the late '90s. Of the 40 Genesis games, the title selection is..........questionable. It has most of the Sonic games (Sonic 3 is not included for some reason). It has the Ecco series. Vectorman. A lot of games that I was not familiar with. Here is the neat thing, though. It plays Genesis cartridges. So it is basically a functioning SEGA Genesis console with 80 games built into it. One thing to note, though. A lot of people have complained that the sound quality is poor compared to an actual Genesis. I didn't notice myself, but I am playing on an old CRT TV so maybe that is why. Speaking of that, it only has composite output. No HDMI. So if you are tying to connect it to a more modern TV, that could be a problem. I only own a CRT, so it was never an issue for me.
This aged really well:
The Sega Genesis Mini is out, and apparently, there’s a Game Gear Mini coming in Japan.
WISH GRANTED
Sega Saturn mini when? Dreamcast mini when? I wanna play the OG NiGHTS.
They actually released a 2nd one in 2022
I agree that Final Fight would have been a great one to have in the collection. Probably my favorite beat em up style game.
They should of included a few mors
I would buy a Gameboy version of this.
I think they'll go the GBA route. One because of the graphics and two, because of the amount of phenomenal games that thing had!
a gba sp and ds lite one would be super cool man.
I think they should do a GB Color version bc it fits in your pocket and it's backlit. If people want better graphics, they might as well get a 3DS or Switch. The retro gaming wave is strictly for nostalgia.
seanbond8 And what do you think the GBA is? Retro.
It is, I'm just saying I'd prefer the generations b4 GBA if they were to do a re-release bc it fits the mold aesthetically for nostalgia purposes & they're more portable. Think about it, when most people think of Game Boy, they most likely think of the original or its Color successor.
I wonder if the SNES Classic Edition will turn yellow in 20 years too, lol

thank you for addressing this. when i was in oregon, 4 elderly women in front of me picked up the last 4 (of 5) nes mini's (last year). as they were leaving, one of them asked "what's this?"
Probably for grandchildren. My mom didn't know what she bought either back in the day till I hooked it up to the TV.
underwaterlady LOL
hope they won't turn into one of those shitty scalpers
I would've had to hit her at that moment
I have heard from several people the same thing but also that those women were openly talking about selling them.
Rattenjunge lol.. I know right... I was gonna write this same thing.
Thank you for this video. I’m looking for this, this year!
Okay these are cool and all but when are we getting a CD-I Classic?
I have no problem playing these games on emulators, mainly because Nintendo has this weird strategy of treating their games as if they were the crown jewels, and this kind of hype is feeding into that, making the games more expensive than they need to be.
auritone Super Metroid still is better than anything that has come out in last 15 years.
Every game's value is what it is for a reason. Nintendo is giving a great solution with the SNES Classic. Charging $80 for 20 games and 2 controllers means that it's a little less than $4 for each game in HD. That's cheaper than Virtual Console prices and way cheaper than getting the original cartridges.
I'm not saying that this isn't good value in and of itself.
I'm saying that the trickle strategy of Nintendo keeps the hype going along with their "tradition" of not releasing enough systems
Oh god, it's not that good, i hate this kind of elitist attitude
Yup
I was lucky enough to get one of these due to awesome friends waiting in line and picking an extra for me at face value. Most impressed with the controllers. They have almost a textured, matte grainy feel to them and as soon as I picked one up I remembered the original had the same feel. It's an awesome product. Just wish they were more available.
Very well done guys. Answered all my questions, and things I didn't even think of.
When I was standing in line, the crowd I was with was all talking about what games they wanted to play the most and such. It was actually a nice experience
Same here, I was in a line of about 15 people at an Alabama walmart. Everyone was talking about their favorite games and the new stuff coming to Switch.
Mordecai Pants I bought mine online because I felt if I saw a scalper in front of me , it punch him.. wish I could have shared a similar experience.. instead I'm waiting for shipping.. .oh well
Ryan looks strung out....like he just murdered someone and hid the body...
Jeromebrown Onthemainstage how do you think they got the classic lol..
That's what it takes to get a Nintendo product now days. Beats buying from the POS scalps though.
He needs a good lawyer and preferably a jury who also has failed to get the snes classics.
Jeromebrown Onthemainstage Classic Ryan..
hehehehe
I was number six in line at a Target in Paso Robles CA, and for a few hours it was just us six guys, old school gamers and had some great gaming conversations. At about an hour until opening, the scalpers start coming in. I'm glad I got a great experience waiting for this fantastic console
Mc lovin and Seth reviewing this.
I got up at midnight and tried until 4 am to get one. And I had no luck. I walked into target and walked out with one. I'm not selling mine.
Walmart associate chiming in here. We only got 12.
Yeah it's a shitty situation for the ground level employees. Nintendo decides to try to fuck people and the employees who have to deal with people who are pissed about being fucked aren't even their employees.
mine had 20, and the line to wait started at 7 p.m.. I'm not waiting 5 hours at Wal-Mart for anything
My Walmart had 30 but if he asked me that number was still too low.
It's your prerogative to get upset as an employee, they can scream and be impossible all they want, I preordered one, why couldn't they? I told them it was available.
Another Walmart associate (from central Michigan). We got 20+
I am stoked I was able to get my hands on one! Though I do wish they had added Chrono Trigger. One of my all time favs as a kid!
That's it's main flaw is no Chrono trigger aka best game on snes
Good video thanks
Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball was awesome. Great review.
you both look worn out lol
bet you they drove out of state to get one haha
I don't blame them
I had to lol
They look like zombies
Shame on them! Not reading a post from one dude.
They put such an awesome selection of titles on this little system. I’ve wanted one since it came out.
My favorite Mario Kart games are
1. Mario Kart Wii. The mechanics are fun to master and the control is amazing
2. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The amount of content and tracks is astounding
3. Mario Kart DS. Mission Mode. Need I say more?
What leads you guys to believe the N64 will have more games than the SNES? If anything, I'd bet that has less, probably around 15 games on it...
The employees were handing out tickets today at Toys R Us. Strict one per customer... They stuck it to the scalpers today ahaha Waited only 45 mins but there must have been 150+ people waiting in line.
That's pretty awesome
Why? Can't you guys simply play emulator on your desktops?
sup3232 Well sure yeah... you CAN. Not as cool as playing on a tiny SNES. With the original controllers!
sup3232 Emulators on a PC just doesn't give me the same feeling. Having a physical Nintendo made product with an actual Nintendo controller just feels so good and authentic to me. Feels just like playing the original hardware.
Marcos Lopez well you can still use a snes controller for pc :)
We had some good people in our city then... they all appreciated the games when I talked to them in line. Damn scalpers are a mess but I'm glad my area was easy to grab one of these. I came at 6 in the morning at best buy and nobody was there! I thought something was wrong like I had the wrong date! Lol... there were still 5 available when the doors opened at 10 and even 10 more at target next door. It's a really really good machine and I hope everyone who appreciates it is able to get one.
DEC 2018, and I'm seeing tons of these and the NES classic all over town, walmart, target, bestbuy, gamestop ect, super easy to get them now.
Some of the best titles on there, but I wish there were 30 games instead of 20 + SF 2.
List of 10 games I would like to add:
TMNT: Turtles in Time
Chrono Trigger
Sunset Riders
Actraiser
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
SimCity
Gradius III (or other games like it)
Super Star Wars
Demon's Crest
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Really disappointed Zombies Ate My Neighbors isn't on there.
No Super Mario All-Stars????
NBA Jam TE would have been nice too.
GeneTheMachine UN Squadron.
I would complain about Chrono Trigger as well if I didn't already own 2 copies of it.
They forgot to mention Chrono Trigger
Canadian Admiral Absolutely the Best Game on SNES hands down!
Pity it is not on the game list
@@SantomPh cough cough installing more on it
Hey guys I got my SuperNES Classic Edition this passed Monday and I tell ya, I am glad I went in the morning cause it was the last one!!!
yea me 2 one customer got 2 and i bought the other lol
Earthbound on this is still somewhat laggy, though I heard that was present on the original cartridge. It's most noticeable in Threed when it's under zombie control, especially if you're standing in front of the hotel
Was Ryan doing coke before the filming of this?!
They both look pale, sweaty, and sickly. They look jaundiced too. Really strange.
"CineMASSACRE"
Still think the Donkey Kong trilogy should have been included.
Collin Adams same with Kirby's Dreamland 3, shit's expensive
Inferno Hell yeah
It's been 3 years and I finally got ahold of both FC mini and SFC mini. I have a fairly huge collection of original cartridges for various systems but still prefer using raspberry pi above anything else. Nowadays you can conveniently build a capable mini emulation console which has even more features than the official one. Maybe I got spoiled by emulation scene and I got turned off by those scalpers at the time of its release.
Hacking these devices is essential.
I got one on preorder and I love it ! There was games I never played like star fox ,I was into rpg as a kid, but I'm enjoying zelda, earthbound, ff, and love reminencing
They should have had super Mario all stars on here so u get even more games
yea.... :(
Or have Mario Paint some how
Rountree1985 Likewise here. Thank you Hakchi.
All Stars has the games that this system already has in it, except for The Lost Levels.
It's not even out where I live and I'm fucking mad as fuck
Stores should limit to one per person.
Agreed
I think many stores began doing that.
I find these every time I go to target. And I'm getting one in my bday
I received mine and I’m still disappointed that Donkey Kong Country 2 isn’t on this.
sincerelyjuss hack it and put it on there
These should come with half the console "yellowed" for extra authenticity : )
Mike lol. My original has that.
pal snes dosnt yellow ,only the shitty yank version
Enjoy your pristine slow running 50HZ snes. Our consoles may be yellow, but they still run and they run 10HZ faster.
girlsdrinkfeck my shitty SNES still works like it was brand new. I just played it the other day after I shot my Glocks and my AR. Good luck trying to do that. The yellowing doesn't bother me.
snes never break ,but i prefer to emulate old consoles so they are upscaled to HD ,standard snes would look shit on my hd projector
Hey guys great video,
What would you recommend for me to buy nes classic mini or snes classic mini ?
Im bored of playing ps4 all the time and want to play some retro games with my girlfriend now the winter is coming.
Back in the day I was a sega guy so I havent played much nintendo apart from at friends houses as a kid.
So do I buy the nes classic or the snes classic ?
Didn't even know this existed until my SO came home with one last night. Looking forward to playing it when I get home.
I went to a Target in suburban Chicago, we had 40 people in line and 80 SNES Classics at the store. Everyone there was talking about how they wanted it for them self or planned to give it as a gift. We had just one scalper (we could find) in the crowd.
It was far better than the NES Classic experience. Honestly, seeing how many there were at this store (we heard the other closest Target had 60 units), the scalpers aren't going to be able to turn a huge profit on these. It's way better this time around.
Ravioli, ravioli, noone can get the SNES Clasicoli.
All the scalpiolis want the monies
I stood in line and got one and had a totally different experience as everyone I talked to grew up in the 90's and were excited to play the classics we grew up with on the new TV's.
I got both systems at launch without preorder. But I've heard the horror stories of how hard it was to get one but I fortunately had no trouble getting them both and am happy with them.
What about the VIRTUAL BOY mini classic???
Virtual boy may have been a flop but I wanna play that Wario game, it should be re-released or something
getting those 90s headaches and dizzynes in 2017 xD
I would *totally*buy it
I think they should rerelease all the virtual boy games as a collection on the switch (and maybe make it have full colour graphics as well)
I hope Sony jumps on this wagon. A PlayStation 1 Classic would do just as well.
I have a small PSOne with a small screen that flips up
pizzamon 79
It's called a PSP/Vita (after a hack that takes 5 mins).
Further, both can emulate NES as good as NES Mini and about 90% of SNES games as good as SNES Mini.
I dont think the games r very good emuated as they are 3D
Sony has spent to much on their online stores. They would release the games there before. That and their Playstation now service.
adj789 Lucky bastard I have every PlayStation except that variant
I had the most fun playing Snowboard Kids 1&2, back in the day.
So much fun.
I love that it comes with two controllers. I played the hell out of Super Street Fighter 2 with family and friends growing up.
Also at the Best Buy that I waited at there were over 75 units available, much better than the small amounts of NES Classics that were shipped out. Although admittedly scalpers were still everywhere. Sad to just hear people wanting to flip their purchase.
If they do make a N64 mini, will they fix the joystick problems.
I don't think they will make one
The joystick on N64 is fine. The only problem is that its a bit fragile compared to dualshock, and alot of people are really hard on their controller and alot of the old one are beat to shit.
I just waited a year to buy it... no freaking way I was going to pay a scalper 200% markup. I got it to play my beloved childhood games which are still near and dear to my heart
I was lucky enough to get the nes mini for my birthday
Happy belated birthday! ;p
I wish Nintendo would of release Zombies Ate My Neighbors on this system! But I am still happy that I pick one up! 😊
Jonathon North that was such an underrated game!
Three years later you're getting it on the Switch.
*Nintendo*- "Have a seat...", moves chair out from underneath you and you fall on your ass.
*You*- "That was fucked up, I trusted you"
*Nintendo*-"Oh, sorry. We appreciate your loyalty, here we won't do it again"
*Nintendo*- "Have a seat...", moves chair out from underneath you and you fall on your ass.
Just over and over like you all have stockholm syndrome.
Some stores near me had them as late as this morning. I picked one up much later than launch, but it really must depend on where you live and what kind of demand you'll face when looking to buy one.
I just got one of these a few days ago (yes i know im very late but mmnm) and am very happy with it. Has all my favourite games ever
I love Ryan. Dude, gives no fcks how he looks on camera
I would love to have this product to play, but I will never ever buy from a scalper, even if it means that I will never play it. Too bad.
Really glad to have picked this thing up, so many very good games on the unit.
At a push, I would have swapped Space Megaforce/Super Aleste and Axelay in favour of the 2 Starfox games, but that's about it.
there are usb Adapters to connect original controllers
I managed to get the last one at my store only because someone in front of me was nice enough to give me their ticket because they felt bad for me. That and they had a family member buy one from somewhere else. Here's to you, friend!
